We checked into this hotel on Friday January 27th, 2023. Was given room # 1015. That room was adjoining rooms. When I made reservation, requested no adjoining rooms. So we went back to front desk, and this was explained. We got switched to room # 1013. The sheets and comforter had dry blood stains on one of the executive queen size bed. Then the other queen bed had black stains on it. Called front desk and was told this is not hilton standard and was going to send housekeeper manager up. Okay we waited, the housekeeper supervisor came up and she said she will have an housekeeper come in to change it. About 5 minutes she comes back with a housekeeper and she pointed out stains/spots. This conversation was in English and Spanish. You shouldn't assume that someone is not bilingual and don't know what your saying. In Spanish she laughed at our concerns. That's when supervisor said in English. She will be back to change sheets and comforter. After a few minutes she came back. We observed the mattress, sheets and comforter and no stains was on these. We didn't switch rooms because we didn't want to continuing waiting and having the same experience. Just flew in and wanted to relax a little. A company like Hilton need to change their policies. If new sheets can not be given after every guest. Any sheets, comforter, towels with blood stains. Needs to go in biohazard! Shouldn't be washed. Then on the second day the same Hispanic housekeeper who laughed at our concerns. Walked into room without waiting for me to ask who? (luckily I was dress). She said sorry then left. After realizing we needed toilet paper, open the door and ask her because she was in the hallway. She said call front desk. You just walked into the room unannounced and got the nerves to say call front desk. All the Hilton and Hilton family hotels that we have stayed at. When a housekeeper is in the hallway and you ask for a roll of toilet paper. It was given. Never was told to call front desk. After calling front desk had to wait 20 minutes. Yes 20 minutes for someone to bring toilet paper. This was a bad experience from day one. Talked to Amy( one of the manager) in lobby. She agreed that toilet paper should of been given . That she was going to speak with housekeeper manager. As my wife is speaking with Amy. I'm making coffee next to front desk in the shop area. Amy did offered a voucher for breakfast or dinner. We told her we will think about it. She gave her business card. We left the hotel to enjoy the rest of our day.
As I'm finishing up my coffee. When I looked at the bottom of cup. There was a dead flea in the cup. Who knows if I had already drank a flea. We never accepted the vouchers. How can we trust the food if coffee had a flea in it.
The only reason we didn't leave this hotel because all the other hotels was sold out and or pets was allowed. Otherwise we would of check out the same day! Hopefully someone in corporate will view this review and changes will occur. Again any sheets with dry blood stains should automatically go in biohazard! Any white towels that are not white using Clorox. Should be thrown out. Items should be white not off white and other visible colors.
We always bring our own face cloth and towel. We will continue to do so especially after seeing everything we seen at this location.
Also just because a person doesn't looks like you and skin color is different. Doesn't mean they are not bilingual. Please be careful what you say never know if that person understands a second language. We could of started yelling, etc.. But for what- a headache.
This was my wife birthday weekend and the hotel was not what we expected! But we enjoyed visiting Baltimore,Hanover, and other beautiful cities...
Read moreHorrible!!! Don’t go on any weekends!! They will have events that they are not able to accommodate the parking for. One would think that the events would be ending at about 11 pm; but that is not the case. They have events going all night long that are loud and makes the parking situation even worse. When I came on Friday, I had to park partly on the grass and over a gutter. I complained and the front desk just told me “park wherever you can, we have two weddings here”. Then Saturday I had to park down the street and walk in with my bags. Both nights were loud!! The events that were happening went past 1 am and there were people in the halls being yelling and ringing bells!! Both nights I woke up to the sound of loud music, yelling, fire trucks and ambulances outside. Floor 10 doesn’t have any ice maker, they put a plant where the ice maker was. I complained about the shower of this room I was in last time and I came in this time to find it was never fixed!! Clearly they are not taking care of the guest experience.
One would think that they would prioritize paying hotel guest to the visitors to the events but they don’t; instead you better find a parking spot or risk walking 1/2 of a mile to get to the hotel. And they will allow any event to just go on as long as the event wants to go; all night in this case I guess.
I left two days earlier and went to the Marriott next door. Way better parking because they have sections for hotel guest only and way better environment. I then made the Hilton credit me back for the rooms over the weekend. But I had to go and ask for it twice and threaten to have the charges reversed.
It’s sad; I have been going to this particular Hilton for years and have been a top Hilton honors member for over a decade. I travel to this exact Hilton 5 days every two to three weeks. Spend about a grand each time (so over 50k worth of money spent just on the last 2 years) I ended up canceling all my future reservations because this was so bad and even canceled other reservations at other Hilton properties as well.
Horrible hotel!! If you call the Hilton honors number they will tell you that because this hotel is a franchise they can’t do anything about it. I ended up getting ahold of some people at the corporate office and hopeful they will investigate this but either way, Hilton lost me...
Read moreThis is my first time doing this for the Honor Flights of Veteran's. I had no say in the choice of the places we visited or where we stayed. I was just more than thrilled to be able to go see the memorial places and statues, that have been built for us veteran's. The hotel is definitely off the beaten path. The entrance is of no difference to most of any of the 100`s of hotel's I have stayed in, throughout the years. The reception area or front desk, is not big. The help was good and pleasant, upon my arrival at noon. Apparently me and third floors are a thing. The room is nicely proportioned. The bathroom has nice big shower with glass doors, but yet once again, there is a problem. The toilet is placed just as you enter to the left, in that you will have to close the door to be able to use it. I understand that, but come on. So now the bed area, and the flat screen tv. Another big sized one, approximately 48 inches or more. I did scroll through the channels and saw a lot of available channels. Unfortunately it's been 4 days since I was there, so my memory is not good of what was in the room, but I do recall a fridge, but no microwave. Dang, I don't recall any coffeemaker. The heating cooling unit seemed to be a little loud. The room I was in, had no view outside. The shower was good with a decent amount of pressure. Continental breakfast is good with the usual stuff of scrambled eggs, sausage, french toast sticks, bacon, and the bread stuffs. Coffee, strong or decaffeinated, or just hot water, and OJ. So, all in all, I had a very memorable visit to Baltimore and Washington DC. Thanks to all the people that gave me, an honored Vietnam War veteran, the help I need in this time of memory's. ...
