I am baffled on how this location has good reviews. My family and I came down to stay the weekend so we can visit the Baltimore Aquarium on Saturday. THE MINUTE we walked into the room we see a bug come from underneath the microwave into the sink. It moved so fast i just flicked it into the sick and ran water over it . We start looking around the kitchen and three more bugs we found crawling along the wall. I killed about 7 of these things the 2 hours we were there. I called to the front desk to request a new room and I was told nothing was available. I then requested to be booked a room at another Hilton location . The poor lady at the front said she was the only one there and since there is no managers on the weekend she doesnt have the ability to call another location. She said managers only work Mon-Fri and there is nothing she can do. The next morning we leave and come back around 5pm. The same lady from the night before and another gentleman were working. The gentleman said he would spray our room. After he sprayed and left ANOTHER bug came from behind the fridge. At that point I was done. While were were packing to leave early I lifted my purse off the table and two more bug crawled from under it and went behind the sofa. We packed up our baby and daughter and checked out early and left. The lady at the front said this happens all the time and management does nothing about it . The rooms were filthy, there is CARDBOARD TAPED TO THE WINDOW in every room next to the air conditioners. There were brown spots on the lamp that I thought was decoration until i wiped it down and the brown spots came off. They gave us the General Managers card ( Ashton Yox ) and all I have to say is I dont know how this man has a job . I have a degree in hospitality management and worked in hotels/ casinos since 18 and never heard of a hotel having no type of manager/supervisor /lead on duty on the weekends. I took pictures of the bug and sent them to a friend. Come to find out they were ROACHES. BABY ROACHES were all over our hotel room. This place is disgusting and if people decided to stay here then I hope you enjoy killing roaches all night. AND PLEASE.....i dont need an automated response saying thank you for your input....JUST DO BETTER !

A Stay to Remember for All the Wrong Reasons: Homewood Suites by Hilton Baltimore-BWI Airport If you're contemplating a stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton Baltimore-BWI Airport, located at 1181 Winterson Rd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090, I urge you to read our family's unsettling experience before making your reservation. The Unwelcome Guests: Cockroaches in the Kitchen and Bathroom Upon entering our suite, we were horrified to find cockroaches making themselves comfortable in the kitchen and bathroom. These critters were not just a nuisance; they raised immediate concerns about sanitation and hygiene. A Breeding Ground: Mold in the Bathroom The bathroom was not just a haven for cockroaches but also for mold. Patches of mold adorned the walls, making us question the air quality and the potential health risks involved. A Patchwork Solution: The Duct-Taped A/C Unit The window A/C unit was a sight to behold: secured with duct tape that also served to fill in some gaps. This makeshift installation not only compromised our safety but also the unit's effectiveness. Unsanitary Conditions: The Bathroom The bathroom continued to disappoint with its lack of cleanliness. Previous tenants' hair was scattered across the floor and bathtub, making us wonder about the overall hygiene standards of the establishment. A Precarious Balance: The Ceiling Fan The ceiling fan had cardboard and folded paper wedged underneath it, seemingly acting as a makeshift level. Every rotation of the fan blades was accompanied by a sense of impending danger. Final Thoughts: Our stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton Baltimore-BWI Airport was a severe letdown that jeopardized our family's health and safety. I strongly recommend exploring other lodging options in the area. No family should have to endure what we experienced.

I stayed here 8 years ago and it was way better. Now its horrible. As soon as i get home im going to call corporate. 1st off there is no mention that the pool is not working. I would have stayed somewhere else had i known. And the fact that the pool havent been working in 3 years they should put that on the hilton website. The laundry machines dont work properly.. the dryers took 3 hours and the clothes still wasnt dry. The maid is lazy. She came in made the beds.. and then left. Didnt refill the soap didnt take out the trash we had to call downstairs every time just to get clean towels and trash bags. And then 1 of the workers said we have to take down our own trash. 1st off no. I dont work there. Not my job as much as yall charge. Then the Wednesday evening reception is a joke. Its supposed to be from 5 to 630pm. But they never refill the food. So they ran out of cookies and soda at luke 545 and just never put anymore out.. the breakfast was a joke. 1st day they had the make your own waffles and then never again. After that is just nasty eggs and some random potatoes with sausage every now and then. They the same bagels, yogurt and cereal from 2 nights before. The AC didnt work. The hallways are set to like 85 and they had some random ac blower motor sitting in the hallway. So im assuming they are trying to fix it. But it never got cool. They dont even have ice machines. You have to get bags from them downstairs. And to top it off i never got my free water... also the wheelchair accessible rooms... arent very accessible. The poles are loose and 1 even came off the wall. Thats an lawsuit waiting to happen. And the so called printer dont even work. And the shower is clearly not accessible. Either way im going to be making a few calls once i get home.

This property was not my first choice but it was a great choice for my family reunion. My concerns when finding a hotel was cost, room sizes, indoor pool, grills, kitchen,.meeting space, location and reviews. There had been a few bad reviews that had me pass this hotel by but when I learned the other similar hotels in the area didn't have availability or meeting room I narrowed it down to here and two other places.

In the end this was a good choice although a bit over our budget. It hit most of my marks. Usually I get a free meeting space or room after booking so many rooms and they didn't do that here even after asking. The cost was also higher then the Springhill (kitchen, grill) or Residence Inn (few double rooms) but the other two didnt have all my requirements. The other Homewood Suites in the area one was booked full and the other had an outdoor pool. The other similar hotels outside of Residence Inn looked not up to par when visiting

Everyone in my group loved the rooms and hotel. The service from the group planner Dawn was excellent she helped everyone get the accommodations they needed. I came and toured the property before signing the contract to compare to other hotels in area on my list and this was a hands down winner. They need more Homewood suites it will be my go to hotel for now on.

The meeting room was a good size too. My group got a bit loud in the lobby but no issues from staff or other guest. The hotel was full this weekend we stayed with a wedding, our Reunion, and a sports team in addition to regular guest. We ran late in the meeting room the first night and the staff were nice about it. On the last night we left to go to dinner before getting everything out and again no problems with staff

I wanted extra towels after using ours to go to pool no problem from staff. (Homewood Munster, IL a few weeks ago made us exchange towels so I was worried). Pool does have towels but I wasn't sure.

My great uncle had a medical emergency staff again helpful beyond measure. Called EMS, kept us updated, etc. Even asked about him later.

The rooms are really nice and updated. The weather changes outside left the rooms cold but it would if been the same at home. In morning it was raining, damp and chilly in afternoon hot and at night damp again outside so I was playing with the thermostat to get it right a d never did get fully comfortable but I blame it on users and mother nature not hotel.

The staff was so helpful, we forgot toothbrushes they had them. The grills an awesome touch just wish they were covered ad I've seen at other Homewood I've looked at. Hit tub out of order but Dawn let me know this although I kept hoping it'd be fixed before our visit. My only disappointment was breakfast I love waffle stations at hotels because it ensures you get something hot as pancakes are usually not. Also two days in a row it was sausage I expected bacon at least one of the days.

For the most part I heard nothing in my room and the layout of the hotel ensures folks in the meeting space, lobby or dinning area don't disturb those in their rooms. The fire alarm went off on Friday in the middle if the night but stopped quickly not sure what that was. My room was by an exit door on first floor and if you're a light sleeper avoid any rooms by outside doors. The door closing is loud. For me it was no problem. Parking space was at a premium since the hotel was sold out but I found a spot way in the back when returning from dinner on Saturday night. It is well lit though and there were lots of cameras inside the public areas

Overall this is an excellent property with great staff who were pleasant, helpful and took pride in the property they worked at. I spoke to one maintenance person on the elevator telling him how much I liked the place and staff. His response "we think of our guest as guest at our hone and try to treat them as such"! I can tell by how great they take care of the property and the...

I chose this place a a quick staycation for my daughter's 7th birthday. It was appealing to me because it offers 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suites, an indoor pool and complimentary breakfast. Upon check-in, it was NOT so appealing. The greeting I received from what I later found to be the "guest service manager" left much to be desired. I'm used to the Hilton brand being warm and welcoming, that was not the case here. As she checked me in, I never had her undivided attention, she proceeded to not only answer the business phone, but her personal phone as well. She couldn't seem to complete my simple request of keeping the card on file for incidentals that I reserved the room with and paying the balance out right, once I became frustrated and line continued to mount behind me, I just conceded to allow all charges to my card on file. After checking in, I left to retrieve my belongings from the car as well as my mom and daughter. When we entered back into the lobby, I was carrying my daughter's birthday cake, after all what is a birthday without cake, when the same "guest service manager" proceeds to yell at me across the atrium that cake is NOT allowed in the hotel. I have never been so embarrassed......since when has cake not been allowed in a hotel? She proceeds to tell me that I signed a strick "no party" policy and I responded with how does a cake constitute a party🤔 Again my daughter turned 7, she only wanted to swim, eat pizza and enjoy cake with her family and a school friend, not a party with 2 children and 3 adults. I asked to be shown where in the policy it says no cake, as I had just purchased this pretty expensive, Cold Stone, ice cream cake for us to enjoy after pizza. This woman is being completely unreasonable, I understand the hotel must have experienced quite a bit to enact such a policy, but you're ruining my daughter's day and prior to a few moments ago I had no idea such policy existed. I didn't receive any of this information with my confirmation, which probably would've saved me some time, money and anguish. Once, I requested the information of someone above her level, her rudeness went to a different level and she began to recite her general manager's at me, it wasn't until I specifically asked her to either provide me with a card, which she interrupted me and stated that the general manager had no cards available and then I asked if she could write her contact information down did she FINALLY comply. I'm mentally and emotionally exhausted at this point. I used to seek out Hilton brand for the service and because they are unionized. I've found in my past few visits, especially this one I probably need to explore other options as there is no lack of options in the hospitality industry. I did email said general manager on Saturday morning before I even checked out and I am still awaiting a response or at the very least an acknowledgement. Moral of the story, all that glitter isn't gold. Spend your money elsewhere, somewhere you are valued and...

I always use the Hilton brand for lodging when necessary. I have stayed at this particular Homewood before, but I will not again in the near future. The staff members were rude and customer service seemed unimportant to them. I checked in digitally and got my children settled into our 2 bdrm suite and then went to retrieve our things. We waited several minutes in the lobby for someone to help us. When the staff member poked her head out of a door, she seemed annoyed and appeared to be in conversation with someone. I was rudely asked, "what do you want?" Not, "how can I help you" or "is there something that you need" or any other friendly thing that could've been asked. I informed her that we needed a luggage cart to get our things to the 2nd floor room. She said, "We don't have any. The customers take them and leave them and don't bring them back...what am I supposed to do about that?" I didn't have an answer for her. She became more visibly annoyed, with only her head still poking out, she asked "anything else?" I walked away to look for the carts myself. We couldn't find one and ended up having to hand carry 4 suitcases, Christmas gifts, groceries for our stay, and a box of Christmas decorations through the maze that lead to the elevator and then to our room.

The room itself was spacious. However we were quickly able to make a list of things that were unsafe or just inconvenient.

  1. The door would not close properly and we had to ram ourselves up against it for it to close.
  2. The bedroom door was broken and visibly in need of repair, but it kept getting completely stuck in place and my children couldn't open it to go in or out. 3)The carpet tacks at the seams near the doorways were ragged and we kept snagging our socks or getting our bare feet poked. 4)At least 3 electrical outlets in the king bedroom didn't work and so there were not enough places to charge my devices so I had to pull the clock out of the plug to charge my phone. 5)THE WATER HAD NO HEAT CONTROL!! It became scalding hot within seconds. 6)2 of 3 remote controls didn't work and one had the battery compartment door taped on, but kept falling off. 7)The coffee station had a creamer that was open when we arrived. 8)The sofa pull out bed was stuck and we were unable to use it for my son 9)There were tissue holders but no tissues and we had to use a roll of tp to blow my son's nose. 10)The blackout shades are the worst of any hotel that I've ever stayed at and the curtains are fixed in place and do not close. There was also a 1 inch gap at the top of the darkening shade, so the sunlight came pouring in and totally destroyed the ability to remain asleep.

I am closing on a house in a week and had planned to stay there until we received our keys. We decided to return our half empty home, rather than spend more money at the Homewood for the poor service and obviously...
