I checked in during the day. When I got to my room had to clean it. Took them all the bedding. There was hair on the sheets and the towels had cig burns on them and where not white anymore. I had request a downstairs room because my daughter has seizures and she has a service dog that alerts her and I when she is about to have one. They tried to kick me out because of the dog. They asked for proof. Which is against the law. I did give them info that dog was a service dog and up to date on her shots. The maintenance guy came to door and said if dog is on premise again I will be kicked out and will lose my depoist. Management even called vets office to see about my dog being a service dog. That is a big no no totally against the Americans with Disabilities Act. There was so many roaches and there droppings. I let off a bug bomb which did not help. My daughter and I both have asthma and we could not breathe whole time we stayed thete Had other guest stop me to ask to use my phone, give them a ride, did I want to buy some pain pills and would see guest and employees doing drug deals in the parking lot. On my 6th day there power to my room went out. I called up to front desk and an hour and a half later the manager came in and looked around and could not figure out what was wrong said the maintenance guy was off and would have to call him in to figure it out. 2 hours after that the guy shows up. Said he could smells burning rubber from breaker box and alot of heat from box. He tighten up all the breakers and got the power back on. My daughter and i went into bedroom to change not even 5 min after he left we come out of bedroom and and the rest of apartment was filled with smoke and the breaker box was on fire. I ran outside to look for fire extinguisher and was calling up to front desk. There was no extinguisher. I opened up breaker box and flipped all the breakers off and burned my hands doing it. That helped put out the flames. Management came walking slowly with a fire extinguisher. They said will move me to another 1 bedroom apartment. They only had one on 2nd floor and would not turn on the elevators even knowing I was worried about my daughter having a seziure going up or down the stairs. They still would not turn the elevator on. Apartment they moved us into was dirtier then the first one. It took me over 8 hrs to move to new room because I was only able to move light weight things up the stairs at a time. My balcony faced the only part of parking lot that had a blind spot from all the cameras they had in place. All day and night drug deals would go down. I started to notice stuff was going missing or being moved when I would come back from work or bringing my daughter to and from school. So I set up my laptop and tablet to record while I was not there. I have on video employees coming in and going through my things. Management started giving me a hard time about dog again. Said another guest has now has a dog in since they saw my daughter's service dog. Management had the maintenance guy come to tell me that they would not be extending my stay past the time I was paid up too and that they were keeping my deposit because they saw a cat in my room they had no reason to be in my room and I have it on video tape them coming in looming and taken things my daughter had placed a stuffed animal cat in the window and I showed them that the cat was a stuffed animal and was not real thing. I asked for a copy of everything I had signed. They would not give me. They said u signed no pet policy. My daughter dog is not a pet but a service dog and told them they can not keep deposit or kick me out for service dog. They would not give me a copy of forms I signed. I had to be out by 11am on a Monday. The finally turned on elevator for me to use after I told them the certificate for elevator operation was expired and I was going to call in a complaint and wanted to show them there employees coming into my room when I was not there and going through my things and taking things. I was running late to coming to get the last of my things and called to tell them I just needed to come and get my vacuum and fan. The front desk girl on phone said it is after 11am and I would have to pay for another day to be able to get my things. The management at this place are thieve and their employees will steal stuff from your room and they have violated numerous American Disability Act laws and I have it on video the employees taking my things in my room I am contacting a lawyer I've already filed a complaint with American Disabilities Act and I will get my deposit back and they have screwed with the wrong person they have violated so many laws. DO NOT STAY HERE. THEY WILL GO THROUGH YOUR ROOM WHEN U LEAVE AND LOOK FOR ANY REASON TO KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT. THEY ARE DISHONEST...
Read moreDo yourself the biggest favor you've ever done for yourself and STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE. The place is a SLUM, $10 a night would feel like robbery once you step into the room, let alone paying around $500 for a week. As a front desk agent and night auditor, I would be absolutely ASHAMED to rent out any of these rooms to anyone. Also, do not think a service animal will be welcomed either, they take issues with that as well.
We checked in and the staff treat you like they don't care you are there or that you're even staying there. You get in the room and you have NO towels or bathroom amenities (except toilet paper), you have great grandmas' bed sheets, air conditioning units haven't been cleaned since the Revolutionary War and are so full of smoke, hair and dust it covers the entire filter and coils; honestly surprised any kind of air circulates. The screwed into the wall headboards falling out because they screwed them into straight drywall instead of the stud, the drug addicts posted up outside everyday looking in and at your vehicles and doing dope out in the breezeways, and lastly the parking lot is FULL of nails and screws, so be prepared to replace a tire... or two... or full set in my case... On the third day, the room above us flooded into our room from the bathroom. Water was pouring into the room from the vent fan and the light fixture. We called them about it and they said they'd look into it. I guess they fixed it because it stopped raining in the bathroom but we never heard anything else about it, never offered a new room or discount or even a sorry and you get the wonderful job of cleaning it all up yourself as well. I will also assume that is why the bathroom ceiling had a GIANT BLACK MOLD spot above the shower. Upon checkout day, I go and buy all my own cleaning supplies and cleaned the room myself; swept, mopped, whipped down the tables, gathered the trash, and even stripped the beds for housekeeping. They send "maintenance" to your room to check and make sure everything is "okay". THEY WILL FIND SOMETHING TO KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT, EVEN IF IT WAS THERE BEFORE YOU. YOU WILL NOT GET IT BACK. The white woman at the desk says, "Maintenance said the sheets are ruined and the towels are missing." I told her, "No, the sheets weren't because I took them to be washed the first day when I laid on them and could feel the oils from other peoples bodies that have stayed MONTHS before me and there were no towels to begin with, you have to wash the old sheets and put new on the beds! What are you doing? Just remaking the beds with the same sheets for the next people???" she just smirks and responds with bull**it. I stayed for a week, they will not refund you if you decide to leave early, and had I known this is what the rooms looked like beforehand, I would have slept in my car or in tent city. The white woman and Asian woman at the front desk should be ashamed of themselves for treating anyone like they do, and honestly should find something else to do besides hospitality since they obviously have no idea what it means to...
Read moreSo to be honest what i had pre expected for type of room i would be getting for my stay vs what was the reality i must say was deff unexpectedly pleased! It was honestly the cheapest of even all the very cheapest of rooms yet in a better area and situation as with some others. While it did require a small deposit the front desk staff was very knowledgeable and helpful with being honest that if deposit was on a card could take a week to be refunded as with banks etc and we know happends so was glad to inform that cash was just as good and which would be returned on checkout. While some may have a issue with the minor rule of an id for everyone staying this does help add to a bit of security as well as the minor/soft background check along with it helps to i feel keep a better type guest and customer as your neighbors vs just any cheap hotel and the extra they have with them. Now the bed some may hate but the rest will love it but was the sofest felt like a thick memory foam molded round you which made for a wondeful nights rest and stay. Then unlike most cheap rooms they still have a microwave and mini-fridge as well as 4 cups etc as most higher end rooms offer but best part i felt was the air system wasnt the stuffy hotel ac like most get from the hotel window type ac no this actually had its very own heating and ac central type unit with reg wall thermostat that a house has so was a more normal feeling air adding to the overall experience! Even though was late when i arrived and not yet was ready for the year was surprised to find out they had a pool too! No its not the highend Hampton type room but honestly for the prices some them at the high end price cost a night you could get a good place for a week here for the everyday or needing to on a budget get a best bank for buck deal. Also its right across from the hospital and next to a few nice places to eat show and such in a min or two walk ! Can deff tell iits a honest family run and owned trying to do the best to make the best type of business and as im sure has as with anything bad moments or just bad guest whom cant be pleased they seem ti least be genuine and willing to within reason fix or make it right! Cant wait to test and try out the bigger room with kitchenette more room size and its own little balcony to experience in my next stay...
