La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Florida

This place is horrible and the cooks are lazy. Here is why, My wife ordered a carne asada and it was hard and I ordered a ribeye and it was also hard plus that was no ribeye, I showed the waitress so then she said I can order something else because supposably they had no more ribeye's and so I ordered something else instead but a minute later the manager comes and says that the cook did not want to cook anymore because the resurant was closed. Literally we were there like 15 min if they were going to close why did they accept to serve us?. I have never been to a place where the manager actually tells you that the cooks dont want to cook anymore! I guess customer service isn't important. We paid the other stuff that my kids ordered which by the way they didnt even eat because even the hamburgers and wings were disgusting! If you are looking for a good mexican place to go this is NOT the place to go! They should be ashamed of calling this place Mexican food because the flavor and the quality has nothing to do with Mexican food. We left all the food on their table paid and left. As we were leaving the cooks from the kitchen was just looking at us with dirty looks. Me as a Owner would fire these cooks for saying they dont want to cook anymore! I wouldnt even rate it 1 star but unfortnately I have to put atleast one to write my review. Do yourselves a favor and avoid going here. This happened on Wedenseday...

This was a spontaneous lunch decision. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, so when I saw La Hacienda, I pulled in and stopped.

The decor was nice, if not terribly original, but we've become accustomed to Mexican restaurants being decorated a certain way. One feature that did catch my eye, however, was the fountain.

The server took my drink order (sweet tea) and brought it and my chips and salsa as I perused the menu. I wanted to try something different, so I went with the chicken and chorizo with rice and cheese sauce with flour tortiĺlas on the side. It wasn't long before it arrived, and I dug in.

It was good, but dry. The chicken was dry, the chorizo was dry, and the rice was dry. Luckily, there was the cheese sauce to bail it all out, right? No, somehow, even the cheese sauce was dry. I dont know if there just wasn't enough of it, and it was absorbed by everything else. I ate as much as I could handle, leaving one whole tortilla on the table.

Now, don't get me wrong, it tasted great. But I went through two large glasses of tea while eating, trying to get it down. Another positive thing is that the tortillas were bigger than those one would typically receive at a restaurant. Finally, the wait staff was A+. My glass never emptied, and they were all super friendly...

The food was served to us cold I ordered the steak burrito with fries and it was like in came out of the ref. It was ice cold. My husband ordered the puff taco his meat was barely warm the waiter stuck his fingers in the taco meat and did it was warm he stick his fingers in my husband's food wow and said it was warm. Food is suppose be hot. He said with sour cream and lettuce it cooled off I was like no way. I was like after I stick your fingers in my husband's food you think he would still eat it. Oh my gosh we paid for our drinks and cheese dip which is was like eatiing glue. The chips tasted stale .we were really looking forward to a good meal bc the rest seemed clean and very nicely decorated but we will never be back to this rest. Horrible completely horrible. Don't waste your time going here. We should have known better bc its black Friday and all the other rest were busy this one was not. Horrible cold food. And they don't believe you when they say it's cold they stick their fingers in your food and expect u to eat it after they did that gross. We will never return to business at all. Don't waste your time or money here. I don't why other people give this place high ratings bc th food is not...
