I moved here from Colorado 7 years ago, and had been desperate to find good Mexican food. Every single place I tried sent me into despair, as I was used to there being incredible hole in the wall, authentic places on every corner back home. I was particularly homesick one night, and decided to try once more to find quality Mexican food. A girl need a taco dangit! I found this place on door dash, and ordered an assortment of things for my mom, the kids, and I. Burritos, tacos, assorted meats, and of course jalapenos, I went overboard. I was craving a solid lingua, as if it's cooked right, it's the most incredible taco you'll ever find.

The smell emanating from the bag must have driven the driver crazy, and I'm hoping he went back to obtain their own order of tacos. That level of torture is inhumane. While guilty of probably breaking the Geneva convention, Taqueria El Asador provided generous portions of each ingredient, and made me happy I ordered the extra tortilla per taco. It's like having a bonus today once you're finished with the original!

First off.... The lingua.... Oh my lord! So I'm a widow, a very young widow. There's certain things you miss as a widow. The cure... Eating a lingua supreme taco with the salsas and a jalapeno. The flavor, texture, experience, of eating this particular taco was a delight for the senses. It sent a shiver of delight through me, eyes rolled back in my head, and I'm not responsible for the sound of approval that escaped my mouth. No one heard it though, as they were currently immersed in their own culinary delights.

My mom is a huge fan of pintos and also of pork within her Mexican dishes. She was pleased by both and Said they were the best she's ever had. Both children finished their burritos, which is a feat as they're at a stage in development where everything is gross unless it comes from a box or a can, and creative culinary experiences go over their heads. The steak was tender and delicious, and had my kids hunting around through their fallen morsels that escaped the burritos for more.

So tldr of this experience: lingua was incredible, will be ordering stupid amounts of this again. Pork, beans, and steak, all Delicious too. Salsas, rice, and other "others" complimented the meats beautifully. I will be coming back over and over.

Thank you for being a home...

I have been wanting to go to this place for like over eight years. My Momma and my Dad liked this place a lot, and they had been going to it since back in the day when they were just a truck behind a gas station. Since those early days, this place has blown up and has gotten literally national attention.

I moved away from home seven years ago, and every time I come visit, I say I'm gonna come and get some tacos, but then somethings comes up and I don't. Well this most recent time, I said enough is enough! I came here, and I wanted to try everything.

I showed up like 30 minutes before they closed, and of course I was like 18th in line. This well-oiled machine of a business, though, moved that line right along. In line I was examining the menu, and it was intimidating. They have much more than just tacos. Basically every Mexican meal under the sun involving a tortilla, they have.

Still, I wanted to try their most basic offering, the tacos. Luckily, I could choose to have my tacos with flour tortillas. Taco "purists" would be appalled, but come on, get over yourself. I wanted one of each meat. The meat choices being:

Asada (Steak), Pastor (Pork), Pollo (Chicken), Chorizo (Sausage), Campechano (Asada & Chorizo Mix), Lengua (Beef Tongue)

They were out of chorizo, though, that late at night, so that eliminated two of my options, so I got four amazing Tacos Pirata (Any meat choice, avocado, melted cheese, cilantro, onion, lime). And they were great.

The tortilla was so soft. The ingredients were fresh and subtle, letting the meat sing. And the meats were nice and tender and there was definitely more on there than I was expecting. That tongue was so good. If you've never had tongue, please, get some tongue. It's very underrated.

Easily the best tacos I've had in Pensacola, and after some soul searching, they might be the best I've had in all of Florida. Either way, they are five stars, and you need...

I was told to go here from a local and she raved about how fresh, homemade & delicious this hidden gem is & she was right, it was phenomenal!!

It's food trucks but they are permanent & really nice. They have tables and chairs out under a nicely treed area with colorful flags for decor & fun lively music playing. It's a better atmosphere than I thought it would be. They've done a nice job.

Their food is so delicious, fresh, homemade & nice portions. I had a birria & steak picata style tacos & my hubby had a birria taco as well. The meat portion is substantial and perfect savory flavors. Their homemade corn tortillas are so delicious and we bought a 10 pack to go for only $2. We also had a side of beans which were nicely done as well.

I love that they have their homemade salsas along with pico, pickled onions & horseradish for you to add on yourself or put in little to go containers. I loved their green & red sauce that were in the bottles, full of flavor and a medium spice. The pickled onions were pretty spicy and not as much pickled but still really good on my tacos.

The tacos are $4 & is you want steak or birria, it's 50 more cents. And if you want flour tortillas it's 50 more cents. Their homemade corn is the bomb so no need for flour there! They had quesadillas for $8 and burritos for a little more than that. They also had platters. Great choices and I would go once a week if I lived here.

They had very kind customer service and people constantly flowing in for to go orders and eating there as well. It was 3 in the afternoon so a lot busier than I would think but that just shows how delicious...
