127 for the night total and it was nice. I have horrid back pain from two kids and the beds felt as good as the Hilton. I feel I need a new mattress so if yall can reply back what mattress yall use that would be great. Also they had nice big comforters which is a plus bc I find most places have that one thin sheet or blanket especially economy hotels. And it was all white bedding so you know they washing it between customers. Room was actually clean I've stayed in places that don't wipe down the furniture and you can tell so that was nice! Carpet didn't feel grimy and didn't have stains which is also nice and we stayed in room 101. Another big factor is no noise i didn't hear anyone in the hallways or other rooms and they had a whole baseball team stay. Only downfall was they didn't have extra blankets they ran out and breakfast was eggs, sausage, ham and biscuits and gravy but the baseball team ate most of it and we had 30 minutes to eat definitely should of prepared ahead of time knowing you'd have that big of a check in but was still good. The two ladies working were very sweet in the breakfast room and even let my toddler have more juice once they were closing up. Front desk attendant was also nice. It was an easy stay and I picked between them and the Hilton but I figured it was one night and we had the kids im glad I stayed will definitely book at this location again! I slept so well.

I was not terribly impressed with the esthetics of this location but the helpful service I received in the breakfast room from a kind gentleman (named Davion, I believe) is certainly worth remarking upon! As for the sleeping quarters, after being in the car for over twelve hours, suffice it to say that my infant son did not sleep in the torn up crib that they provided that was also lacking fitted sheets or so much as a flat sheet that fit the nearly shredded (not even so much as taped-up) crib mattress. Furthermore, after pulling in well after midnight, when calling at nearly 2am to inquire about sheets for the pullout sofa bed so that my preschool-aged twin sons could get some rest, I was simply told that I could come downstairs and get a set. Thankfully, after a bit of further investigation within the room in hopes that I wouldn't have to drag my family down to the front desk, I found a set of sheets on the shelf in the closet. Beyond that, the (also pictured) peeling wallpaper certainly detracted from the room that otherwise seemed to be fairly well maintained. Lastly, when asking for a late checkout time, I was told that was likely not possible but that asking again around breakfast might be useful. Upon inquiring one more at around 6:30am, I was thankfully given a late checkout time so my little guys could get a little extra shut-eye.

Upon check in I thought everything was going to be great. My room was very clean, but that's where it ended. The luggage carts are ridiculous. If you have anything other than hard-sided luggage it is a pain to use these things. They're used by sky cabs at airports but not conducive to hotels. My stuff fell off four times before I got to my room. As I walked outside I saw another patron loading his up and it fell twice before he made the doorway. I don't know who the salesman are for these things but they sure took this place. I won't stay here again just because of these. Almost killed myself in the shower as I slipped and went down as it is very slick. Just luckily a bruise on my arm. Went to check out and there was a sign saying wait I'll be right back. I waited over a half an hour and finally had to start calling around the hotel lobby we're finally the breakfast attendant came and called for somebody. The desk clerk had been sitting outside the entire time. I lost a half an hour of travel time which meant a lot to me. The room was clean but I would never stay at this place again.

This hotel receives a 1 star not because of the hotel, but because of its manager and the service I received from her. Remove Sabrina as manager. I stayed at this hotel on 12/26. After getting to the room, I noticed that the toilet wasn't flushing. I removed the tank lid and noticed that the plastic strip that connects the flapper to the handle was broken. I reported it and was asked if I wanted to change rooms. Since we had already brought everything up, I just asked for it to be repaired. The clerk at the front desk in the afternoon told me that maintenance was at another location but would be up to fix it when they arrived. Then around 5:30, power went completely out, including generators. It was off for 2.5 hours. We were on the 3rd floor and with a daughter with mobility issues, we could not get down the stairs to change hotels, so we stayed. After the power came back on and after eating in the dark, I asked about the toilet and was told that maintenance was gone for the day and the new clerk at the desk had no idea it needed repair. I continued to flush the toilet by lifting up the flapper.

The next morning, we checked out (the 27th). We were invited to enjoy breakfast, and I said no. But I also requested that we receive a discount for the inconvenience of both the power outage and the toilet. I was told the power outage wasn't their fault. It wasn't mine either. But the manager agreed, via phone, to have the clerk give me a $20 credit. The room was $117.71 total. He applied a $20 credit, bringing it down to $97.71. I gave the clerk a $50 Best Western Rewards Travel Card. He had to call and find out how to apply it to the bill. After a half hour of waiting to check out, he said he took care of it and then handed me back the card. That brought my balance down, rightfully, to $47.71. I figured he had taken the credit off the rewards card and when I reached my destination, I tossed it out.

I get home a week later to find that not only did they charge my credit card the $47.71 (as it should have been), but the next day, the 28th, they put through an additional charge on my card for $100. I was furious.

On 1/10/2018, after noticing the discrepancy in my account, I called the manager, Sabrina. She told me that the front desk clerk had given me too much credit and that because I walked off with the rewards card, she charged me. I told her that the clerk gave it back to me and asked her how that was my fault? I also made her aware that she charged me $100 for a $50 gift card. Not once did she call me to report the discrepancy and had it been an adjustment, the charge of $47.71 should have been adjusted. Had she called me when I still had the card, I could have given her the number over the phone so she could bill the rewards card. As it stood, I paid $147.71 for a $97.71 room. When I told her that I would be filing a dispute, she responded "you do what you feel you have to do, I did what I had to do" and hung up on me.

I immediately called corporate customer service and filed a dispute with my bank. Never again will I stay here or at any other Best Western. It's bad enough to have a $100 mistake bite you in the ass, but when the manager reacts as a B with the ITCH, I draw the line and call it crappy customer service.

*On January 24, 2018, I received a refund from BW Floodwood. Manager claimed she had called me on January 10, but that wasn't true. I will give this hotel 4 stars because it is a nice hotel, but this incident shouldn't have happened, nor should I have had to call corporate, nor should it have...

The Best Western Plus Flowood Inn & Suites is a great hotel. We stayed on March 7, 2017 and truly enjoyed the whole experience of the hotel. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated, and it is very nice and modern decoration. The front desk staff was very courteous and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our stay the best experience ever! There is an elevator in the hotel so guests don't have to carry luggage up the stairs. We booked a suite with a jetted tub. Our room was awesome, complete with the jetted tub, body jets for the shower, and modern fixtures. The bed was even more comfortable than my bed at home (that says a LOT). Inside our room was a large TV, a small dining table, a sofa bed, a coffee table, a work desk with a coffee maker and everything needed to make the perfect cup of coffee. Towels were plentiful and very large and comfortable. There was also a hairdryer in the bathroom, and an iron and ironing board in the closet. There were extra pillows and blankets and even more offered if we had needed them. The air/heat in the room were working properly and the thermostat made it easy to be comfortable in the room. Toiletries were provided and there were even more located in the sundry, along with snacks and drinks. Breakfast was amazing (pancakes, biscuits, sausage, bacon, eggs, toast, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, and hot coffee), and the breakfast staff was very helpful and courteous. Check-out was a breeze and took less than one minute. I have never stayed at Best Western before, but this has just became my GO-TO hotel. I will be sure to stay with Best Western during all future trips. If you're in doubt, book this hotel. There is a convenience store right across the street and many restaurants close by. It is in the perfect, quiet, SAFE location, but close enough to the city to make it convenient. You won't regret your stay at Best Western Plus Flowood...

Bed bug!!!!! BED BUGS * Staff was nice. I had to fly in over night due to my father having a stroke they accompanied us and was friendly. The check in took 45 Mims because she couldn't run my American express card.. we got 2 rooms which looked clean. Me and my son stayed in room 201 and we got in at 4am so we just flopped in bed. Big mistake I slept on top of my blanket but my son who is 9 got inside it. The next day he went swimming and walked around with my mom at night. Whe. I came back from the hospital he said mom I got bits on my feet. I didn't thinks about it bc I spent 15 hours at the hospital I showed and got into bed but keep waking up bc I was itching I got my phone and looked at my arms and pillows they were coved with bed bugs. I screamed so loud told my son to get up and let's go. I went down stairs and told the younger lady and all she said was "oh" well I can't do any refunds. Told her to come.check the room but she said she couldn't leave the desk but yet they are always in the office. She told me "You will have to email the Manger ". I said email yea that's our policy I asked for the phone number she didn't even know it. We packed and left. I called and emailed never heared back. Please go somewhere else. Place looks clean but they have bed bugs. Rooms 201 and 217. Never again. It's a shame you don't call your guests back but take thier money with...
