YUCK! Food! Cold, Bland overcooked shrimp rolls! The cabbage inside was cold and overcooked with no shrimp! Tiny tiny itty bitty overcooked lamb chops. BLAND overcooked vegetables swimming in way to much bland sauce. Dry overcooked steak pieces in the upper right corner couldn't chew it. It came messy and soggy. I had to add horrible white salt and too salty Kiko man soy sauce just to get a hint of flavor. My Satay chicken on a stick was BLAND and dry. The worst Thai food experience in all my days. This mediocre dish cost $20. The dry chicken sticks were $6. The large Tom Kha Shrimp was swimming in a bland white sauce cost $14. The shrimp were big for no reason because they had no taste and were tough and chewy. I packed it all up to give the slop to my German Shepard. She loves tough overcooked meats. My turkeys, chickens and guineas will eat the overcooked vegetables and tough shrimp underneath. The ball of overcooked mushy rice will be eaten by the ducks, SO it wasn't a total loss. Our sever Keith spent most of his time bored, sitting in a booth on his cell phone because there weren't any customers to wait on. He didn't ask if a refill was needed and didn't care much about me hating the food. They never let the kitchen know how dissatisfied the customers are. The pictures draw you in but the taste will make for NON repeat customers. I can totally see why the restaurant is empty a lot/all the time actually. I talk to other customers who said you have to be drinking/tipsy to halfway...
Read moreMy mom and I work not far from this restaurant and we really wanted to try it out, but it did not go good at all. When we arrived we sat down really fast and ordered fairly quickly. We both ordered Chicken Hibachi (which comes with a soup and a drink). So we received our drinks and soup and then we kept waiting and waiting for our food to come. We started to look around and noticed people that came in after us were getting their food and we were the only ones there without our entrees. We only have lunch for 1 hour from 12-1pm, we arrived about 12:10 and when it was 12:45pm we told our waiter we may need it to-go and all he said was "alright" and he did not say it was coming out shortly or anything. Then 12:55pm came around our food was still not out, so we told our waiter we were leaving. He did not say "sorry" or anything and he made me pay for my coke. We wished we had time to talk to the manager, but we had to get back to work and we found it ridiculous it took that long to cook some chicken and rice. So the short story is that everyone got to eat...
Read moreGot there a little early (5'ish), not many cars in the lot, and was a tad worried. Atmosphere and decor were a little spartan, but i've had better from worse, so it's not really an issue. Ordered the grilled squid as an appetizer--a high potential for error on this dish, i might add. They bring out a darn-near perfectly grilled and sliced squid, ample enough for the both of us. I order the Pad Kee Maw, the missus gets the Ginger Duck. Both dishes arrive and they're both appealing to the eye. Only complaint is we asked for "MEDIUM" spice, and it was more on the Pearl MS resident level of spice, which is to say MILD. Not a big issue, since neither dish are known to be really spicy anyway. The flavor, however, was right on queue. Service was great, decor was downplayed, homey and non-intimidating. Overall, if you're down with Asian (Thai, especially) cuisine that is actually more on the asian side, you're in for a treat. Service was friendly, and the...
