This was the WORST experience I have ever had with any hotel I have booked! The first thing the “manager” that worked Saturday night on May 28, 2021, looked at,was my address. My address said locally but I explained to her that the DMV put the wrong address and that I have not lived locally in 5 years but my license was only a year old and have not been able to change due to COVID and my work schedule. I explained to her that I had travel an 1 and half and had no where to go that’s the reason why I booked the room and that I could prove to her that I lived out of town. Plus had my class reunion to attend but had nowhere to freshen up or change. She would not work with me, all she done was shake her head and tell me no. Neither time did she even look at the ID to check for name or my photo to match. Her biggest concern was a freaking address, that in other cities it’s not that big of an issue but apparently in Forrest City it is! My friend who later came that was not with me, was able to check into my room, bc his ID stated he was from out of town. Now his name isn’t anywhere on the account or on the CC that was used for purchase but he was able to get the room with no problem at all. Please make this make any sense? This could have easily been a fraud, but she gave me a big hassle over a damn address! I feel if I wasn’t black, she would have assisted me a lot better, especially since there were no other rooms available there or anywhere near. I will NEVER stay at this...
Read moreWhile interstate hotels are generally low expectations for me, this hotel was pleasant little gem to hit after long day of driving. First, I am LOVING Hampton Inn allowing pets for a $50 fee (honestly that is fair given cleaning/etc), so nice to not have to panic about what place to find and whether or not it will be terrifyingly gross as we travel with kids and our well behaved, quiet but large husky! Second, this hotel was so clean and quiet, even the parking lot area and grassy areas for pets were super clean. I usually expect pet rooms to have that "pet" scent but not this room, it was spotless and very clean. Hotel itself kept very clean in all areas. The pool was tiny but so nice after long hot day and super well stocked with pool towels. Breakfast was kept stocked and included hot items and very clean area with staff making sure food replenished and tables cleaned. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a safe and fairly reasonable priced lodging. Get in a little earlier in afternoon or evening to enjoy pool. For those willing, you can even walk to some fast food (Popeyes) and convenience stores/restaurants at end of block. Rooms had refrigerators that worked and were clean and a/c worked well! I don't know if it just was renovated or built but it was nice! Thank you to staff for a...
Read moreWe stayed here one night and the place was much worse than I remembered it being a couple of years ago. Check-in took a long time. There was no one in front of us but it felt like it took 10-15 minutes. The lady who checked us in had a runny nose. After wiping nose with a tissue she asked for my license and credit card. She handled them, wiped her nose again, and handed them back. She didn’t use the nearby hand sanitizer. They also asked us to sign the empty space under the bill (which was odd) and provide the color, make, and model of our vehicle. That makes me wonder if they have had a problems with car break-ins. The thermostat was off by about 7 degrees and the ac unit seemed like it needed a tune up because it needed to run all the time just to keep the room around 70 degrees. The bathroom had full size shampoo and conditioner bottles but the body soap bottle was empty and there was no shower mat towel to stand on after showering. The pool kind of disgusting. It had several hair balls in it and lots of small pieces of leaves. The pool was also initially out of towels but they were replenished half way through our use of the pool. One thing that did set the hotel apart from others in a good way is that the tv had full cable,...
