I am livid. Just walked into our room and it smells like a wet dog took a bath in mildew and Pine-Sol — and not in that order. It’s honestly making us gag. My sister is randomly itchy, which is awesome, considering the beds feel like prison mattresses from 1956. There are actual cobwebs inside the lamp, which tells me no one’s cleaned this place in months — unless spiders are on payroll here. Oh, and did I mention the bloodstain on the ceiling? Like… hello?? Was someone murdered in this room or does management just not give a single damn?
— it’s repulsive.
If I could get a refund, I’d be halfway to the Hilton already because screw this horror movie set pretending to be a lodge. Clean your rooms. Burn the sheets. And maybe call a priest while you’re at it.
AND AS IF THAT’S NOT ENOUGH… there’s a ghost in here. Water randomly turns on by itself like I’m in a damn paranormal documentary, and there are gnats swarming around like I’m trying to sleep in a compost bin. My peace? Disturbed.
The pillows? Don’t even get me started. They’re so pathetically thin I’m convinced someone folded up a maxi pad and slipped it into a pillowcase. Zero support. Zero comfort. I’ve had more restful sleep during a dentist appointment.
At this point, I’d rather pack my shit and sleep in my car — and no, I’m not being dramatic. At least my car doesn’t smell like moldy Pine-Sol. I’d rather sleep in my car with a “kidnap me” sign taped to the window than spend one more second in this cursed hellhole.
The lamps flicker like I’m in a séance and some spirit named Mildred is trying to make contact…Pretty sure if I say “Bloody Mary” three times in the mirror, something in here will actually answer.
The TV is the size of a Pop-Tart. It’s so tiny I had to squint and practically break out a pair of reading glasses just to see who was talking. At this point, it’s basically a radio with a backlight. The TV is microscopic, like they went out of their way to find the world’s smallest screen and said, “Yeah, that’ll do.”
The blankets? Don’t even try it. They’re so thin they could double as cheap napkins at a gas station BBQ. I’ve seen more insulation in a tissue. I might as well be sleeping under a paper towel.
The entire room feels like it was designed by someone who hates comfort and light.
As I’m writing this, I’m starting to itch. My arms, my legs — what the hell is crawling on me? Also, is it normal to start itching while lying still? Because I did. Are we talking mites? Bed bugs? Invisible regrets? Either way, I need a Silkwood shower.
Make sure you bring cortisone cream because you’re going to be itchy.
The shower water was colder than my ex’s heart, and it felt like it was punishing me for making bad life decisions. I’ve cried warmer tears. And the lighting in the bathroom? So dim I couldn’t even see the bags under my eyes from the prison sleep I barely survived. That’s probably on purpose, so guests can’t see what this place does to them. Not being able to see the bags under my eyes was honestly the only blessing, because I currently look like I fell off the ugly tree and hit every single branch on the way down thanks to the prison-grade mattress and haunted energy in this dump.
Oh, and let’s not forget the stain on the wall that looked suspiciously like someone’s unfinished business. If that was paint, I’m Michelangelo. I didn’t know I booked a room with DNA evidence.
This place is a biohazard. Shut it down, sage it, bulldoze it — and maybe build a Taco Bell over it. Something useful.
This isn’t hospitality — it’s a punishment.
This wasn’t a hotel stay. It was a hostile psychological experiment. Light it on fire. Bury the ashes. And...
Read moreThere’s no ZERO stars because that’s how bad it was. My mom and I are traveling across country we had to stay at the location over night due to being tired from being on the road all day. We arrived after 1:00 am and called ahead from the road. My mother is on a walker and we have the handicap sticker. All of the handicap spaces except for one where taken by people who DID NOT have displayed handicap stickers. Due to us being tired and the man who checked us in making me feel like I was an inconvenience because I had to ring a bell and wake him upon my arrival; my mother and I chose another place to park, lugged all of her adaptive equipment into the room from a great distance and decided to let it be. BUT we entered the room all “appeared” to be ok. We unloaded by this time it’s almost 2 am and we where beyond exhausted. We did not sleep as the room was full of bugs; fridge didn’t keep cool so we ended up discarding food that was ruined due to the fridge not working. The next day we called the office several times and a woman AND what looked like her 2 or 3 year old daughter came to the room in attempts to address the issues (outlets faulty, iron had to be replaced, she had to bring us a can of bug spray, WIFI sucked). Mother and I checked in to try to rest for two days before we pressed on so we tried to work with the situation as we where too tired to reload the car to move rooms or locations entirely. Our approach was we would speak to office at check out. When we did this the man in the office (the same man who checked us in and treated the whole process as an inconvenience from his sleeping) berated my disabled mother being aggressively confrontational in front of the 2 or 3 year old little girl mentioned earlier. He argued with us refused even to discount our rate (we weren’t asking for a full refund). He was so combative screaming we should have come back and asked to be moved. As I tried to explain our rationale with the situation; he screamed he didn’t care what was wrong with our room and go somewhere else and that he didn’t care if we wrote a review of our experience or if we called corporate…so we did BOTH he was disrespectful, rude, and lacked any understanding of customer service or any basic conflict resolution skills. We have written the review now we will contact corporate to report his verbally abusive customer service approach. I am hoping to figure out how to attach pictures or videos… Just so you know all the pictures I took of the roaches and other vermin we encountered say that I have uploaded however it’s not showing up in “photos” of the...
