My fiancé and I booked a room, same day, at this business (Coast Inn & Spa, Fort Bragg, CA) and requested a jacuzzi tub room. We were told we got the last one. We provided card information over the phone. Upon our arrival, we checked in with the owner, Mrs. Chong, and her male co-worker. We were charged at that moment and was told there would also be a $100 deposit that we would get back shortly after check out. We were charged $310 for the room, which did seem a little high for the location and state the place was in. We got into the room and I decided to start the jacuzzi tub. The water was completely yellowish/brown. The sink water, shower water, and toilet water were all the same way. I called Mrs. Chong from my cell phone, the room phone did not work at all, and she told me that the water had "lots of minerals". That is just not the case. We did not feel safe using the water so we went to the store to get gallons of water so that we could brush our teeth and have clean water for use while there. When I woke up the next morning, I attempted to run the water for the sink and then shower and we had NO WATER at all. There were many other hotel residents outside complaining of no water as well. When we finally got ahold of Mrs. Chong, she told us that a pipe had burst and that it would be fixed in the coming hours. We paid extra money for a jacuzzi tub room in which we couldn't even use due to the poor water quality. Turns out they have a well with a terrible filter system which is why the water was dirty and brown. I asked her for, not a refund, but a discount off of the price as we were not able to use the extra amenities we paid for, nor were we able to use the water which is a basic necessity that should have been provided. She refused to give any customer any type of compensation or discount of any sort. We have multiple pictures and videos of the state of the water. We deserved at least a discount for not being able to use what we paid to be able to use.

Read moreThis was the most horrific experience I’ve ever had. I'm leaving this review so no one else has to go through this. List of complaints:||-We were charged $100 more a night then was originally invoiced. As fire evacuees that just needed a place to crash, this was price gouging and we felt taken advantage of. The room bill was $500 a night.||-The place was a dump. And although the room was fairly clean, for $500 a night we didn’t expect to find dead bugs. This includes bugs in webs in corners that had clearly been there for some time. This was maybe a $75/night room motel with a fancy bathtub that they claim is a "spa room."||When I raised this issue with the owner, she freaked out, came to our room, and told us to leave. Even though we explained that we were fire evacuees and had no place to go. She said we weren’t allowed to complain about the room and she didn't want a bad review. This went on for 20 minutes. She also got within 6 ft of us without a mask on during the pandemic. We felt extremely harassed and taken advantage of. We finally talked her off the ledge and she let us spend the night. This was after we had already paid and explained our situation.||-The room’s thermostat didn’t work and our room was so hot all night that we just sat there in a sweat. ||-There was a missing door lock chain. ||-Music was blasting in the parking lot from 3am on. ||-Wifi worked sometimes but was extremely slow. ||We couldn’t complain for fear of getting kicked out. This woman/owner was unstable. ||||Based on other reviews, it seems like price gouging fire victims is a recurring trend here.||||DO...
