We stayed in this hotel with a group of cyclists. The hotel has a closed bike storage. Over night four of our thirteen bikes were stolen. The storage was still closed in the morning. The hotel should be insured for this and take over responsibility, but they dont.
This hotel is out in the woods ... the staff of the hotel (the guys from the mini-golf) saw our bikes.... and they saw they are expensive......
Dont let your bikes in this storage and take it in the rooms - or dont sleep here. Our advice.
We are very, very disappointed.
NB: The hotel's response now shows us exactly who stole the bikes. The employees of the hotel. Do you really think we would have placed the bikes there if we had been told the hotel was not safe in the locked storage room?
The bikes were not visible to anyone, only to the people from the hotel who helped us to put them in the room. The people from the hotel also had the key for this room. Nobody else knew that there were bikes in there. If they were professional thieves, they would have stolen all 13 bikes. The hotel knows full well that they have to take responsibility for such thefts and now of course they are lying. They were generally very unfriendly and almost did not talk to us. For us it is clear - the hotel employees have stolen our bikes and this will have a repercussion.
Our recommendation - do not go to this hotel and if there is no other option, take good care of your valuables and take your bikes to the room. The owner is lying, because she told us to put the bikes in the storage and the storage was not open (they closed it with a key). The owner does not want to take over responsibility, thats why she is telling, that we are the bad guys. We never ever had such an experience in an...
Read moreMy partner-boyfriend-man and I really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. There are AAA discounts as well as a discounted nightly price if you're there for more than 3 nights. We paid for the king Jacuzzi suite and it was comfortable and spacious. There was a mini fridge and keurig coffee maker, so we brought a cooler of food and some cutting boards and knives and enjoyed our own snacking. Fort bragg reminds us of coastal towns in Oregon - small, low key, accessible, and we prefer this kind of beach experience over places like monterey. The hotel is walking distance from some bluffs and a beach/tide pools you can walk and climb down if you're able. Our room had a tv and dvd player. We asked the front desk for an HDMI cable and hooked our tv up to watch blue planet II. I recommend bringing your own cable if you plan to do something like that because it was may have been a fluke that they had one - it was from a box of cables/chargers previous people had left in their rooms (we returned the one we borrowed). Their complimentary continental breakfast was minimal but still nice - their OJ was really good (tasted like actual juice with pulp in it). The silverware they had was plastic, so my partner and i brought out own to use so we wouldn't waste. Same with the cups. They had an ice maker on site, so we got to get ice for our cooler instead of buying some before our drive home. We did not have a chance to try their arcade or mini golf, but we will when we come again!...
Read moreUPDATE! YOU CAN SAY WHATEVER YOU WANT BUT YOU KNOW YOU FAILED AT ACCOMADATIONS AND THEN LIED THEN AND NOW TO COVER YOUR TRACKS. ITS REALLY A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS THAT YOU ARE UNWILLING TO SEE THAT! i checked in late and you were closed when i went back so i had to wait until the next morning to address the situation. I also mentioned how this trip being so very important as i have been given a grave amount of time to live by doctors and i wanted this to be a happy visit...fell on deft ears. This was the worst experience in our Ft Bragg stays. I booked a dog friendly room and they indicated they were booked but that they could get me a room. Once I arrived I checked in late so there was not much time. I paid 750.00 for two nights and went to me room. Once I went in I realized this was a co9nverted closet and the shower was not working. I could not even open the bathroom door fully because the bed was in the way. I went down the next day saying I would pay for the night I stayed but that I would appreciate a refund on the 2nd night and that I would go somewhere else. They just flatly said no and were no help at all. They did say they would contact the owner but I never got a response. The worst part is we stay in Ft Bragg several times a year and have never had an experience quite like this. It was horrible. We dont mind paying but then they lied and said we saw the room prior to paying which simply...
