I much prefer harvest market over safeway any day just because safeway gives me panic attacks on entering the store. Harvest is generally cleaner and has a selection of things I just can't find at safeway, but I will say safeway has been upping there game with certain items and its amazing to get fresh warm doughnuts early in the morning when harvest isn't even open yet. They both have their perks, ups and downs, but safeway for me is a panic inducing place. And maybe that's just for me. But I will says as the boatyard is concerned I miss the clothing store that was there and appreciate the dollar store for the convenience. I love the mechanics shop there and David's dail too, great breakfast and staff as well.... and I can't forget the smoke shop and papa Murphys too, along with a laundrymatt to boot. You can wash your cloths, get all one needs at the boatyard for a party or just errands in one shopping center... the convenience is great, i just wish harvest was open later:) Almost forgot my favorite spot there, the hospice thrift store, with great deals and for the most part very helpful friendly employees. Its the best deal in town! My final words are i miss the art/fabric store that was there. I wish more stores would open up in the vacant buildings available and use at least one to bring back the arts/fabrics and craft products i sooo miss extremely much, the dollar store tries but don't cut it in the ways the...
Read moreYou can get a lot done at the Boatyard without ever going properly "into town" over the Noyo Bridge. Harvest Market, while more expensive than Safeway (and Fort Bragg's Safeway has the highest average prices for basic staples in California) is pleasant and has competent bakery and hot foods/deli departments. Vinny's Pizza makes the best calzones in town, conveniently located next to the largest and cleanest laundromat we have too.
You can borrow tools and buy parts to fix your ride at O'Reillys, grab a Subway sandwich in the middle of a busy day...hell, even park your Tesla at a charging station and amble down the footpath all the way to Hare Creek Beach in barely over five minutes. I'm not a fan of Dollar Tree on principle, but the Hospice Thrift Store isn't bad, and it's biiiig.
I'm not saying this is a place to actually put on your itinerary, but if you find yourself cruising up or down Highway 1 and don't much cotton to the look of our shabby and kinda lame downtown area, but still need to stretch your legs, etc., the Boatyard is a nice alternative. Comcast even has WiFi for the...
Read moreThis center has convenience. I start with doing my at Boatyard laundromat and then Harvest Market, Dollar Store and Verizon. Verizon Authorized Retailer is closed due to Covid19. Hopefully they'll reopen. I stop by O'Reilly Auto Parts several times a year. David's Restaurant is saved for special occasions. Food is delicious and service is fantastic. Subway sandwiches is always quick and easy. Sage's Computer Repair Service has saved me several times. There are more that I didn't mention and several vacancies. Overall a great place to go and parking...
