This Hampton was surprisingly pricey for a one night stay, but after looking around, I realized it was true for just about all the Ft. Myers' hotels. I guess it's just the area + snowbird season + hurricane recovery availability? So I can't fault them for the high demand.
I rate all hotels with the following criteria: Shower temperature / pressure Mini fridge vibration levels Exterior noise Interior noise Bed comfort Cleanliness Safety of location Morning coffee
This hotel satisfied all my requirements. I take showers late at night, and I've stayed at some where the hot water is depleted by 10 pm. This one had consistently hot water with good pressure during the evening. The mini fridge was quiet and unnoticeable. There was a little noise from outside, but nothing egregious. I didn't hear anyone at all in neighboring rooms. Bed was comfy. I was very happy with the levels of cleanliness in the bedroom and bathroom. The location felt safe. And Hampton Inn always has very good morning coffee with their breakfast downstairs. (I don't know about the in-room coffee pot - I never try it.) This Hampton featured a coffee bar near the lobby that was available 24/7! Decaf, too! That was a pleasant surprise. It had a pool, but we didn't have time to use it.
Note: This is one of the Hampton's with those blasted sliding barn doors. This is a huge pet peeve for me, but that's the fault of the Hampton interior decorators, not unique to this location. I keep meaning to write a letter to corporate, but I keep forgetting. NO ONE wants a barn door in a bathroom. Like... seriously. Please give us doors that dampen sound and can lock.
Overall, very pleased with everything...
Read moreI do a lot of traveling for work. So I can say I do stay at a lot of Hiltons from one State to another. First I was impressed with receiving a message from the hotel stating to text if I needed anything duringy stay. Breastfast was not up to the normal standards I have come acustom to. I was having breakfast at 6:45 a.m. the oatmeal was highly undercooked and flaky with the oats below the water level and not blended together as a paste it looked like they add to much water and was trying to cook the oatmeal on the warmer/Crock-Pot. The boiled eggs still has the shell on them. Now I know that shouldn't be a big deal and sound a little hotel snobbish but it's Hilton but that is the reason we all stay at Hilton😁. I checked other eggs to make sure it wasn't just one. As most of use do we forget something and have to go to the front desk and ask for something. Before breakfast I came down to grab something from the front desk. This would have been around 6;20am. The desk was without an employee with no signage saying will return soon or anything . No bells to ring, I stood there passing to make noise with my feet and standing in front of the lobby camera hoping to get an employees attention but I did not. I waited for 20 minutes still no signs of anybody I ended up calling the hotel from the app until an employee came about the back office. I watched 3 other guest wait and walked awying during this time. Not sure if I will...
Read moreWe ended up here after our first hotel we booked was a complete disaster. What a relief to have found a room here for our trip. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The hotel was clean and well taken care off. The warm cookies in the evening were a great touch. We didn’t hear any other guests from our room at all. It was the best sound proofing I’ve experienced at a hotel. The housekeeping was great and always kept us stocked with towels. The breakfast was ok. A huge negative for me was their juice machine. I’m pretty sure they water down the juices to make them stretch further. None of the juices tasted right. I even thought it was running out of OJ because there was very little flavor. She checked and it was still half full. So. Like I said. Disappointing. Overall it’s a decent breakfast but not as many options or as good as Holiday Inn Express’s. The only other issue we had was with the pillows. Down feather pillows. They were so soft we were stacking multiple on top of one another to get any firmness. We ended up having to buy some pillows. I easily rate this hotel a 4 out of 5. I would choose a 4.5 if I could. Great view...
