This is a very nice corner condo at Solitude Mountain Resort in the Solitude Village. It is nicely furnished. We had excellent directions to find it and get the key cards. There is free parking in the garage below. The condo is close to the slopes and also to a few shops, restaurants, and the ticket pick-up area. Tickets were affordable if purchased in advance online and very easy to pick up in the morning.|| We were a group of four. My son and his wife took the master bedroom and bath, leaving the other bedroom and sofa bed in the living area to my younger son and me. There is a second full bath, also. The kitchen is well supplied, plenty of dishes, tableware, pots and pans and kitchen utensils. There is a coffee maker.|| There is a hot tub and a ski locker area. Both are on Level 1 and very close to the elevator. The hot tub is outdoors, but just inside are restrooms and also, towels. The ski lockers are convenient so that you do not have to carry your equipment upstairs. We were able to store two pairs of snowshoes and three pairs of skis and poles.|| I really have only a few comments to mention, why I did not give it all five stars. My daughter-in-law had planned to make smoothies, but we did not find a blender in the kitchen. While the condo had three very nice televisions, one in each bedroom and also in the main living area, there was little or no room for storing our week's clothing. I enjoy unpacking and sorting my ski clothing neatly so that I know where everything is and can arrange for each day's outfit. If you are a skier, you will understand how much stuff you need to be prepared for these outings and not forget something! Of course, staying slopeside does allow you to return to the condo for the forgotten item! The lovely wardrobe in my bedroom housed the TV, and electronic accessories were in its drawers. Hence, no dresser. I will reiterate how awkward it is to live out of one's duffel for a week. That was my son's situation sleeping on the sofa bed. Even a small dresser in each room would have helped.|| We had only the exact number of towels per person. A few extra would have been most welcome.|| One other item that should be changed is the padlock on the ski locker. While we had no problems with our gear, we did notice that the padlock was too small, allowing the "catch" on the locker door to be raised enough to open the door. The loop of the padlock needs to be of the bigger type.|| I do want to emphasize how nice this condo is and that other than the exceptions above, it's fine. It was very quiet, too. I would certainly consider staying in this condo...
Read moreBooked a nice 2 bedroom condo unit for our family of 4, plus our 2 friends. We took a private shuttle ride from SLC airport and stopped at a large grocery store on the way to buy enough food to cook most of our own meals (the tiny shop on the ground floor of the lodge doesn't sell much food items for full meals, only instant noodles, basic pasta and sauce, frozen meat pies, beer/wine, soft drinks). Our condo unit is likely privately owned but rented out and well cared for. Lot of cooking utensils in the unit, full sized fridge and dishwasher. They supply you with daily dish washing soap if you stay more than 5 days. Beds were comfy (including sofa beds) and good fluffy pillows and lots of different types of blankets. Satellite TV and fast wifi internet. Shower heads were poor and need upgrading, and our bathroom needed more towel hooks (only one towel bar for the 4 of us). Excellent front desk checkin process. One ski locker (on ground floor) is included with our room and the locker was very deep and just able to fit 6 pairs of adult skis and poles. Main floor had a great games room, all free for the kids to play billiards, xbox, foosball, and Saturday movie night in the little theatre lounge. Outdoor hottubs and heated pool was very large and relaxing. Not truly ski in/out to be nit picky, as we did have to walk and carry out gear to the main Apex lift each morning (about 5 min walk). Quick walk to all nearby restaurants, ticket office/ski gear rental. Truly enjoyed our stay and will gladly return to stay here again...
Read moreOur extended family booked Eagle Springs East 207 through Vacasa a year in advance. At the time of booking, we were told parking was free, but only one vehicle was allowed to park underground. Vacasa failed to tell us when Solitude implemented a parking reservation and fee system for the 23/24 ski season. Solitude and Vacasa gave us varying answers about how that system affects guests staying at Eagle Springs Lodge East. The end result was that we had to pay $50 a day to park one family's car--$350 for the week. Additionally, we had the stress of trying to find a space in one of the few overnight parking spots in a snow-covered parking lot. We felt like we were intentionally misled about the parking availability and cost. ||With respect to the lodging and surrounding area, the condo was quiet, clean, and comfortable, with a nice number of toiletries and supplies. The kitchen stove had an issue with the large burner and the skillets needed replacing. The hot tub and heated outside pool were very nice. The pizza restaurant in the Village is good and the small store in the Village has friendly staff and basic supplies. ||We enjoyed skiing at Solitude. However, we likely won't be back because of the lack of transparency in their parking costs and their failure to support people who stay more than a day at the resort. And we will definitely never rent anything through...
