First time i stayed here; i stayed with my boyfriend and imma give it 4 stars cause it wasn’t bad at all. The service was pretty great; they came when we asked it needed stuff. We had to move rooms 3 times the first time because it had a weird smell in our room so the lady at the time moved us to another room. Second room was perfect but then had issues with the people upstairs stomping and keeping us up all night (of course not the hotels fault) so they offer to move us and we got put up on the second floor and stayed there for the rest of our trip and loved it. the service was great and happy they helped us.
Read moreDon’t bother with this place unless you have low expectations. This place looks WAY better in the pictures than in reality…seriously! The outside reminded me of a nursing/rehabilitation home. The lobby was very small but did smell clean and the staff at the front desk was friendly. That’s all I can say about that. I was given the keys to a room that smelled so bad of old, stale cigarettes that I wanted to gag. The place is supposed to be smoke free…clearly that was untrue and when I went down to the front desk they didn’t seem the least bit surprised. I was given another room and it didn’t smell like cigarettes but did smell very stale. The room had a broken alarm clock and microwave that didn’t work. When trying to see if it was plugged in, I found layers upon layers of dust in the back. The bathroom was extremely tiny and had not been cleaned very well. The outside and inside of the toilet had clearly not been cleaned and/or not cleaned well. There was mold on the ceiling above the shower and other water damage indicators. Around 2am there was loud banging of doors and loud walking above my room. It was so bad it woke me out of my sleep. This place is nothing more than an overpriced motel. I didn’t bother with breakfast or the pool. The breakfast area was tiny and cramped and again, looked nothing like the pictures. Going to visit the pool no longer appealed to me. I just wanted to get the hell out of this place. The Only positive thing that I can muster up is that I had a very nice view of the White Mountains. The rest of the stay was very uncomfortable and I would never stay at this particular Best Western again. Ever. If you choose to stay here for whatever reason, lower your...
Read moreSummary: Avoid this hotel, the hygiene is non existent, cockroaches in your room, pee-stained sheets…
I was here on a roadtrip with my family. I travel a lot for work so I a have a good idea what I can and cannot expect at a certain price point. I can live with a hotel that is a bit rundown (it is: it feels like a nineties hotel), but I expect just one thing: cleanliness. I thought Best Western would guarantee some sort of standard. It does not: I am truly surprised best Western allows this hotel to bear its name.
Our room smelled like wet dog or something, the sheets smelled like someone had urinated in them and there were stains. We saw a cockroach running on the ceiling - before he dropped on the floor and went who knows where. Imagine having to explain to your family they have to sleep with the thought that a cockroach might fall from the ceiling in their bed while they are sleeping. Imagine paying $200 for that room. We avoided taking a shower in the morning because the shower/bath was of the same hygiene level as the rest of the room. I don’t think they get a health inspection very often..
FYI: for people with coeliac, breakfast does not have gluten free options (we luckily anticipated that). For people that care about the environment: literally everything is thrown away (plastic and paper plates, no recycling…) most third world countries I visit do better.
On the bright side: staff at the reception was...
