More oriented towards the local dive bar crowd. The service was very subpar this last visit. Our waitress in the bar area was not very friendly and didn't. appear to be happy to be there at all. When asked questions about what was in a particular dish, she answered with an "I think it has this...but not 100% sure" —yet, she was standing right next to the kitchen entrance, where she could've easily confirmed if the dish had the ingredient in it. Since it was a food allergen, we decided to get something else so as not to risk an allergic reaction, because the server was too inconvenienced to confirm it would be safe. Most restaurants take food allergies very seriously, but our waitress could seem to care less. Two out of three of our orders were messed up or not what was requested (wrong dressing on one of the salads, the add-on side salad for the other entree was put it in as a substitute for the fries rather than being an addition like we had asked. The third order was just a simple pepperoni pizza, which is probably why that one actually came out correctly. It was a bit disappointing to hear that they were out of all 3 of the daily dessert specials [insert sad face]. Our past experiences have generally been quite good, but I like to keep my reviews based on the most recent visit, so perspective customers can get a sense of the what a place is like at the time of the review. That being said, I hope our next visit will be a much better experience so I can update my review accordingly.

Note: Parking is very limited, as the restaurant is right up against the road. Also, the speaker volumes in bar area need to be fixed. The one speaker above our booth (right side of bar near kitchen entrance) was absolutely blasting our ears as soon as the music started playing music. As we walked out of the restaurant we didn't notice any of the other speakers sounding terrible...

It was 7:15 on a Sunday night of Columbus Day weekend. We got to the door and a quite older woman who was a server was short with us and another party of 4 telling us “we are not taking anyone else!” And walked away unapologetically. With disappointment we and this other out of state couple (who had just arrived) couldn’t believe that on a holiday weekend we were being turned away…it’s a holiday weekend and we are coming to spend money. Very few other restaurants in town by the way…. The manger came out and smoothed it all over and said we are out of several things but we would love to have you so long as you are aware. We sat down and placed an order.. tater tots were offered in lieu of French fries. As much as we wanted fries or onion rings tater tots sounded good… When the meal came, it came with fries..fries so skinny it was like someone hand shaved a potato with a bic razor or potentially a pocket knife.. They were dry and not at all edible. Fries… after we discussed they had none and tots were the solution. I had to not eat them, they were dry like sawdust might be.. Our salads came out wrong and both hamburgers were over cooked by approximately 10 minutes. The staff, other than the initial grouchy server was polite and nice but clearly not working together. The food was not acceptable to us and others nearby. We paid full price as we know it is not easy out there. But if you are not dialed in with supplies and service how do you expect return customers to support your business? The facility is clean and beat. The manager was very nice and polite but unable to get things back on track...

We love the white mtn experience, and this trip was an overnight at a nearby bed and breakfast. While visiting Franconia nh, we were told this eatery was an ok place, so we checked its reviews. They turned out mediocre, but what the heck how bad can it be.

Well we should have listened, and stayed away. First off we stood waiting 5 to 8 min to get seated, once at a table water finally made its way, a good ten min late a drink order was taken. Waiting and waiting for a couple beers we ordered which she never brought to us. Finally asking another employee he brought the drinks.

I think the waitress totally spaced them. After some time she came to take our order, we ordered what was suppose to be 2 giant ravioli's for an appetizer only received one. fish, (mistake) previously frozen deep fried (a no no with frozen fish! ) dry and zero flavor.

I can't believe people give this place more then one star, the only reason I did is because it's required to post a review. $53.00 later it ranks up there with one of the worst resturants I have patronized. I will say one good thing, and that is the beer was cold.

I should have listened to people who write these things, my opinion is that don't waste you time and money at...

The one redeeming quality of this restaurant is the food, which was solid. We had the Cobb salad, mushroom cheddar burger, cheesesteak, and crab cakes. The service and wait to get our food was possibly the slowest I have ever experienced. It would have been comical if we weren’t so hungry! The place was about half full, and literally one table was eating at a time. Several groups left because they couldn’t wait any longer. And the waitstaff seemed to have no sense that this was a problem. The primary waitress had zero warmth and actually walked away from our table right before taking our order because she remembered something else she had to do. She figured out which table to deliver to by standing at the kitchen door and yelling, “who got the clam chowder?!” I’ll try and give the benefit of the doubt that it’s not this bad in the less busy (non-autumn) season.

Slowest service I have had in years. No napkins, no silverware, had to ask for the correct number of straws. $13 for the worst nachos I can remember. Chicken had no flavor, cold, not much to eat. Burger was smothered in bbq sauce which was a good thing because the beef had no flavor. Three people ordered burgers/sandwiches and one plate was full of fries while the other two had practically none. $18 for a chicken pasta dish and it didn't even come with a salad. Salads are extra$. We had to go find the waitress to pay just so we could leave after waiting 20 min for the bill. The place would have been a solid three if they were more attentive because the food was just "alright" aside from being over priced and lame.

Oct 2024 Our family came here for dinner during the busy fall-peeper season so we weren't surprised there was a wait for dinner. It didn't take long to be seated but they let us know it would be 45 minutes to get food (it only took 30). In the meantime we enjoyed delicious beverages and the servers (Diana was amazing!) were friendly and attentive even though super busy. Franconia is a quieter local town than the more commercialized other local ski towns and we were thrilled to be visiting. It was cool to see people from all over the world and have a long chat with locals at the end of the night. Oh yeah, the food was delicious also! Big menu. I'm not sure I cared though because the ambiance made it the most special.
