My wife and I stayed 5 nights at the Blue Ridge Views cabin. It was very nice in a quiet location away from the chaos of the parkway and all it's attractions, but still close enough to just about everything so we weren't wasting time or gas to get out and enjoy some of the more tourist things to do. There were other cabins nearby, but never even saw or heard anyone the whole time, even when we saw an occasional car parked at any of them. The plus side of an adults only cabin rental! The cabin had a nice quaint charm to it. The wood carvings on the one wall were even better to see in person. The layout and wall decor were all very nice. The cabin keeper had a tray set on the bed with wine glasses and a dish with some peppermints in them as well as two complimentary shot glasses from the Honeymoon Hills Cabins for us to keep. What was really nice was seeing how they hold two towels folded to form two swans facing each other creating a heart shape. We felt very welcomed seeing that. Our cabin had a pool table which despite not being exactly level was a great way to pass a little time during a rain storm. While the cabin had wifi, it's remote location didn't always get the best signal especially during a heavy rain so the pool table made for some interesting billiards games when we couldn't get a signal to watch tv. There was a DVD player but we didn't think to bring any. The table in the dine in kitchen area was nicely set with dishes and silverware for us. We had all the comforts of home. Microwave, an electric stove and oven, hot running water, a clean refrigerator, washer and dryer. No need to go to a busy Laundromat! The hot tub outside was nice and private with no worries of being seen naked. It heats up while the jets are off, so after awhile of running the jets, you have to turn them off so it will start the heat up process again. Not to fret! There's a heart shaped Jacuzzi tub for two inside not far from the big comfortable bed. You can run the water as hot as you like. It came in handy when it was too rainy to use the hot tub. The cabin was a much needed oasis to get in out of the heat and rain and decompress from the in town activities which Honeymoon Hills helped us save money on as well! They're partnered with Xplorie! They offer a bunch of different local activities with one free adult admission. We got to enjoy a bunch of activities and saved a few hundred dollars while doing so. Xplorie also offers better prices than if you bought directly from the venues and businesses they are partnered with. I would have never known about them if not for Honeymoon Hills. I could have redeemed up to $200 a day in activities for free! And not for lack of trying, but the only reason we didn't is we wanted to have plenty of quality time at the cabin as well. Honeymoon Hills definitely gave us our money's worth by booking with them. I would definitely recommend staying with them whether you're newlywed or been together for years. This is the spot for couples to get away and enjoy doing some living and save money while doing so. I spent less on this vacation while doing more activities than I have on previous vacations. Thank you for a...
Read moreSo my Husband and I were scheduled to get married in March whenever COVID got very bad in Tennessee. We tried to reschedule and also tried to cancel because so much of our family was high risk and my husband and I are too. Tennessee had just issued a shelter in place. This place did not care. We were not able to cancel anything and they would not work with us at all. The customer service was terrible. They took all our money and made us reschedule. We came in August because we had no option really and did not want to loose our money. In August they made us pay extra even though this time we had no guest at our wedding and we were staying for a shorter amount of time. My husband and I had just eloped in March and no longer had a need to do a wedding ceremony. They made us still do it (have us no other options other than losing the money we paid for the ceremony) and said it was fine because we would be getting the pictures. WRONG! We had to pay 215 dollars extra for a disc with 51 photos on it. The ceremony was pointless and it was cute but we did not need it. The person doing the pictures also kept nagging at my husband which was very awkward for us. We just kinda were laughing it off and going with it to get it over with. The Cabin was good and we loved the hot tub! It was clean and very nice and cozy. Our view was beautiful. Would recommend staying here (maybe) but definitely choose a nicer and friendlier place for your wedding.
Concerning their reply: At that point in Tennessee the government had said no groups of over 10 people meeting. We had about 21 people in our party. My husbands grandfather is on dialysis and we have multiple elderly people who were coming. A lot of people in both families suffer from asthma and chronic illnesses as well. I understand we could have had the wedding in March still but I don’t understand why Honeymoon Hills would be okay with putting that many people at risk and in danger. No one could have expected COVID to get as bad as it did. But my thing is they should be more understanding why would anyone want to get married when people are stressed out of their mind and everywhere around Gatlinburg was closing for dining and all the fun things were starting to close. My hair and makeup had cancelled and our photographer had as well. Why would anyone want to get married under the...
Read moreOur stay at Honeymoon Hills Cabins was wonderful! We stayed in the Endless Mountain Dreams cabin, and it was exactly what we were hoping for — very private, with a beautiful forest view from the back porch. Everything was super clean, the hot tub was already filled and ready when we arrived, and the indoor jacuzzi was excellent. The cabin actually feels bigger in person than it looks in the photos, which was a great surprise. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had all the essentials, and there were plenty of towels. The little breakfast tray for the bed was such a sweet touch. Also, the AC worked perfectly, which made our stay even more pleasant.
Overall, this was a great value for the price — we truly relaxed and enjoyed our time there. And by the way, the couple’s massage we added on was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend!
That said, there are a few suggestions we’d like to offer — we think they could make the experience even better: The road – The access road that leads to the cabins is in really poor condition. We noticed that many Honeymoon Hills cabins are located along this same road, so improving it would greatly enhance guest comfort. Weak internet and cell service – We really struggled with this. It made it difficult to look things up, order food, or book local activities. Some kind of Wi-Fi upgrade or cell booster would be very helpful. Outdated TVs – It would be great to have smart TVs or at least screens that allow casting from your phone. Outdoor grill – The grill was rusted through with a hole in it. I had to find a rock just to keep the coals from falling out. A replacement is definitely needed. Strict checkout rules – We understand the need for tidiness, but some of the checkout requirements felt excessive. Guests are asked to wash, dry, and put away all dishes, and also to remove their trash and drive it 10 minutes away to a designated location — even though the cleaning crew still comes after each stay, and will inevitably deal with some level of trash and mess. It felt a bit much, especially when you’re trying to relax at the end of your vacation.
Despite these, we had a truly special and romantic time here, and would still recommend it — especially for couples looking for privacy and relaxation in a...
