DO NOT BOOK THIS CABIN. The one thing I really liked about this cabin was the location. But that was close to the only thing I liked. We reached out to management MULTIPLE TIMES about our concerns based on reviews, and they said we had nothing to worry about. They lied.
At 11:59 PM the night before we were due to arrive, I received an email saying that the fridge and stove didn't work and that someone "may" be in fix them during our stay. Naturally I was not pleased, especially since the stove specifically was one of the things we mentioned our concerns about. They had plenty of time to fix it. They acted like these two major appliances not working were just minor inconveniences, and I told them in no uncertain terms that these issues - and any others - WOULD be addressed because we were paying good money for the cabin to have such amenities. I said if they couldn't guarantee that the cabin would be in the advertised condition with the advertised features that they would need to give us our money back. They responded by saying that they offer "the finest in luxury cabins" (which is a joke) but that they "are not hotel rooms," and they made it clear that they would NOT give us a refund for any such issues.
When we arrived, the stove mostly worked (one of the burners did not) and the two fridges mostly worked (one was fine, the other we had to turn to a low temperature). But there were multiple other issues. The cabin was not as clean as it should be: all the blinds were dusty, and we had to wear socks or shoes because our feet would be dirty if we walked around barefoot. The oven doors were filthy, and one of them wouldn't shut completely. We had to really slam the door of one of the dishwashers to get it to stay closed. The upstairs mini-fridge did not work, and the pinball machine was broken, so you couldn't really play it. A deadbolt on one of the doors to the deck didn't work, and another didn't work properly, so it was very difficult to secure the door. There were few amenities provided, so if you do go against my advice and book this cabin (or if you have already), be prepared to buy your own toilet paper, garbage bags, and dish and laundry soap. Also there were few extra linens provided. The beds are not comfortable and need replaced, and they are very squeaky. I would bring table cloths because the tables are sticky from the old varnish. There was no internet even though this was another concern we discussed with management. Both hot tubs were dirty, and one of them was only a quarter full. It apparently has a leak because they came and filled it, but by the next day it was back to being a quarter full. The other was located in an area where the deck railing was damaged and very unstable. They came and repaired it partially, but they didn't complete the job, and it was a hazard. The pool table downstairs was stained, and the theater room chairs were unstable and dirty. Also since there was no internet, we could not stream down there without using a hot spot, and the Direct TV didn't work down there. And the worst thing was that one of the upstairs bedrooms had no power at all. Their solution was to send a lamp and an extension cord, which someone then tripped over and injured themselves. They were in no hurry at all to fix the issues, and after multiple (and increasingly angry) phone calls, we gave up. They have not discussed any kind of refund.
This company only cares about your money. Don't let their "have a blessed day" endings to calls and emails fool you. They don't care if you have a blessed day because they would try to ensure that you have a nice trip if they actually cared. Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE! Worst company to rent from, inattentive is an understatement. Firstly, they didn’t send the code till over an hour after arriving after numerous attempts to contact them about this. We sat outside IN THE HEAT with children due to their incompetence. During this time we also had to wait for the cleaners to get done even though we were there past the set time everything was suppose to be good. Finally, after being able to go inside to everyone’s surprise there was NO WI-FI! This is blatant false advertising, it is advertised there is in fact wi-fi and once booked, instructions were provided in order to set it up. Because of this, the theater room is a useless waste of space without internet and there is no hdmi cord with the dvd player in the room (also the seats are insanely uncomfortable anyways.) The only streaming options is the very limited direct tv in SOME rooms. In one of the upstairs bedrooms the television was not even hooked up and others weren’t connected to direct tv and might’ve well have been decorative. Furthermore, with the false advertising there is NO VIEW even tho it’s advertised as having a “beautiful view of the smokies” it’s only trees and the neighboring cabin. Continuing this pattern, both of the hot tubs were broke. Neither the jets nor lights worked and the water was leaking and was unusable after day 1. The hose on the side of the house wasn’t able to be used to fill it either. The boards of the deck underneath the hot tub were rotting and seemingly very unsafe. The dryer was shabby and laundry had to be tried multiple times to fully dry them. The joint downstairs bathroom shower door was off the hinges and was a struggle to open and close. Additionally, once while using it I accidentally hit it with my elbow and was terrified it was going to fall off completely. There isn’t even a handle to change the temperature it’s very painful pulling the jagged part that changes it that should be underneath a handle. Also, the fridge was leaking water which was a slip hazard, the oven was broken and had to be slammed to stay shut and the downstairs couch by the pool table is sitting on and caving in a vent. Minimal essentials were provided. We had to buy more toilet paper, the hand soap wasn’t even hand soap there were only body bars provided in bathrooms, no pan for the oven, no broom and no dumpster as we had to resort to putting our trash in a closet the entirety of our trip. The beds were uncomfortable as were the pillows and the blankets. I opted to use the blanket i brought along from home after night 1. The cabin was very unclean. The tables and counters were sticky, dishes were dirty, stains on beds, socks turn black when walking around the house and worst of all the house is INFESTED with bugs. I woke up with bug bits i did not have the night prior. Once while playing pool, i had set my phone down to come back to it and find ants all over it. The company was hard to get in contact with and only seemed to care about our stay after the bad reviews from our group started to pour in. 0/10 waste of time and money, would rather stay at a hotel than even go back to that sad...
Read moreThis is a very nice cabin but it is not well maintained. We had a number of issues that had to be fixed immediately including two broken showers, and a broken box spring on the full size bed. The bottom bunk bed also had broken slats on it. The floors were filthy; we couldn't walk around barefoot without getting black feet. Every single shower had dirty/moldy caulk around the shower doors. The projector in the theater room was not set up correctly and the surround sound did not work. The pool table is not level. The dining room seating is supposed to be for 31 but there were only 2 chairs and then benches. Two of the benches were cracked and not safe to sit on. There were no large pots and pans that would make it possible to cook for a large group. No pizza pans and only one tiny cookie sheet. There was not even one pot holder to get hot things out of the oven. All of the writing was worn off the stove knobs so you couldn't tell how high or low you were setting the electric burners. They give you towels for the bathrooms but nothing for the kitchen. We didn't even look at the hot tubs after all the other issues we had. I will not rent from this company again.
