The location of this hotel is perfect being in the heart of everything you really don't need to use your car because everything is literally right there. However my experience here was by far the worst. When we 1st arrived the lobby had a unbearable smell. Almost like sewage water but much worst. Then my 1st room toilet wouldnt flush and the front desk told that i could switch rooms or plung it myself. Sooo we switch rooms, in the second room the bathroom window wouldnt close soo you can see the person thats in there using it but we looked passed it not wanting to be annoying. The next day the front desk calls and tells me that I broke their tv and that the room smelled like weed and that i either had to pay for the tv or get out. All of those accusations were false because i dont smoke around my kids nor do I have $250 to just be giving away because i carelessly want to smoke in someone building. Not to mention i was only in the 1st room for all of maybe an hour and BOTH tv were working before i even noticed that the toliet didnt flush. So if i had broke the tv wouldnt have told you guys that when i called about the toliet? Not only that when we switched rooms the front desk canceled our room keys to the 1st one in order for her to give us keys to the 2nd one. So in all honesty i feel like either the front desk let one of her friends stay in the room without paying or the housekeeper bumped or hit the tv with there broom or vacumn cleaner and then blamed it on us soo it doesnt come out of there check However it went, the fact that it was either pay or leave was uncalled for and very disrecptful. To accuse me of something I didnt do and then to ask me to get out off your hotel because im not paying for something that i didnt do.
I will never book here again. And if you book please make sure you take pictures of EVERY FLAW IN YOUR ROOM. Cuz if you dont they might accuse you...
Read moreWe stayed at the Fairfield for three nights while attending a family gathering. We were aware that COVID restrictions would reduce services but were never told by anyone on site, what services were available and what was not. Our room was dirty. The carpets were worn and stained as was the loveseat and chair in the TV area (we were in a King suite.) There was no way anyone could sit on the loveseat as the cushions were sunken and badly stained. The bathroom was clean and the bed was clean and comfortable, and all surfaces were clean. The standing lamp in the tv area fell over when we went to turn it on and we found that the weighted bottom was broken, fractured and the lamp had detached from it. If a child had been near that lamp. they could easily have been hurt by it. The lamp was removed by the staff but it was not replaced, so we had no standing lamp to read by, in a chair. There were no housekeeping services which we were not told about. I don't need housekeeping services, I'm fine with making my own bed and re-using our towels, but no one told us about it. We knew the dining room was closed but there was no signage telling us that bagged breakfasts and coffee in the lobby was available and we were not told about it when we checked in. The concierge, when we checked in, seemed to be distracted by two other people, possibly friends?, while she was checking us in. The internet was very slow for loading certain websites. Overall, the experience was acceptable but not up to Fairfield standards. We have enjoyed them in the past, but this visit was poor. The housekeeper came to the door without a mask, the morning we were checking out, asking to clean. She didn't seem to know that it was our last day. I reported all this to the concierge as we were leaving, who was lovely...
Read moreWe decided to treat our 2 teenage grandsons to a mini boys only trip about an hour east of us. Our go to hotel is always Marriott and this time it was a Fairfield Inn. The website is easy to use but I had some questions and contacted the hotel directly. Blake answered every question I had and made a recommendation to get a suite so pappy could get some sleep. The minimal difference in pricing was 100% worth it. He also provided so helpful suggestions for activities and dining. We only live an hour from the hotel but with all the boys wanted to do made sense for an overnight stay. He arranged for them to check in early. Upon arrival, pap was greeted by name and that impressed 2 very hard to impress teenagers. Their stay was fun filled and busy but pappy had a nice king size bed to escape to while allowing the boys to still do their thing in the living room. Hotel was super clean. The indoor pool actually had a lifeguard. Most of the indoor pools that we have encountered are normally not staffed. While the boys are great swimmers and the pool was not super deep, it was reassuring that a trained employee was present.
We will continue to always use Marriott properties and can only hope that all of them have a Blake.
Thank you again
A very happy...
