I have gone to Red Robin at least once a year (averaging 2-3/yr to be honest) ever since one opened in Gaithersburg. I didn't realize I haven't written a review before for this place. The service will never be spectacular. the employees are human and while they try(?) I think it's turning into a fast food employee working at a slightly more casual not so fast food restaurant. This might be due to the current economic situation of the company and COVID19, also.
The food is...burgers. It used to be the biggest difference between Red robin and a Five guys was the fact Red Robin was sit-down, family feeling, and unliminted fries and a set meal...as opposed to Five Guys which is very different in concept: straightforward burgers; usually takeout.
Due to COVID19, I prefer the outside seating, weather permitting. Today, there was rain earlier and a lot of the seats and tables were wet. The tables have spacing/slots like a picnic table. It's not bad to drain water when it rains, but having a cold drink that has dripping condensation (anything that has ice in it) the water drains and might get onto the customer's clothing (pants or shorts or basically whatever is under the table) The good news is that the place is nature friendly as I have seen a lot of bugs and a rabbit or close enough for pictures.
Anyway, due to COVID19, the packaging for condiments and silverware have changed. The ketchup is in a disposable container and the silverware is in a paperbag. this is sorta reassuring until a person encounters a lot of ants and those tiny red bugs...crawling onto the table and into everything. It's okay and it used to be simply a napkin wrapped around the silverware, no paper bag, so it could be worse.
I usually get the Royal Red Robin or one of the tavern burgers due to what I considered value. this time i tried the Mad Love Burger. It does not look like the picture on the website. It looks a bit more artsy, perhaps. Still tastes good. There is no "crisp," it's more like almost chewy cheese. The bacon disappears, but the tiny bite from the jalepeno does pop out along with the avocado. Pleasantly surprised. The fries are mixed. They're still heavily seasoned, but it's a gamble to get thehot fries versus not less seasoned fries.
All things considered, Red robin is okay I would recommend that the company improves a little so both morale and customer service might improve. The food is okay. Price is okay, but getting a bit more expensive for what...
Read moreI started coming to Red Robin about a week in a half ago. I always wanted to experience their burgers. I would come in about noon almost daily which I had the pleasure of meeting the floor manager Dinah, bartender Fatou, bartender Kristia who all give great service everything they serve me.
However on May 16, after speaking with the floor manager Dinah while outside having drinks, as she went back into the restaurant as I remain outside. The Geberal Manager, Brad, rushed to my table as I was speaking to my brother on the phone sitting outside having my drinks, as the straw was in my mouth and hand on my Blue Ocean Margerira, snatched my drink out my mouth and hands while grabbing my shot of 1800.
I was in shock as I stated what are you doing I paid for those drinks and what happened? Brad the General Manager stated to me, I had to leave. I asked why and stated I was just sitting here talking to my brother on the phone and didn't do nothing. As he walked towards the door to go inside the restaurant with my drinks, I told my brother I will call him back as I proceeded into the restaurant. I stated to Brad, I would like my refund.
Brad, went to the computer to give me a refund which I have not received. Nor did Brad, the General Manager of Red Robin in Germantown explain to me while he took my drinks. He only said to me twice, I have to leave with no explanation. I put in my complaint to corporate on May 17.
No one have a right to come into anyone personal space and touch anything!!!! Especially a General Manager to behave in this matter is unacceptable by any means. I want to be clear, he didn't even call the the police because I done nothing wrong!!!
The servers and bartenders provided great service which I will not take away from their professionalism, however, the General Manager Brad was so unprofessional and definitely out of order and he knew better to do such a thing like that. I was very disappointed 😞 and shocked to be treated in a manner that shocking and...
Read moreMy friend and I decided to come to Red Robin because they had a special for a half off burger if you order an Adult non alcoholic beverage. We specifically came here for that reason because it was the last weekend for it. We had a waitress who was less than attentive but we specifically asked her what non Alcoholic beverages could we get for the half off and she showed us. We were given two menus...one with only the finest burgers which were not part of the special and the main menu. Our waitress came back we ordered the largest burgers thinking they were okay since the waitress did not oppose to the burgers. It took them 40 min to serve our burgers and our waitress wasn't even the one who served us. She showed up maybe twice and did not ask us if we would like more bottomless fries or if we needed anything else. Our plates were empty for about 15 min before we ended up having to flag down someone who may have been the manager but we couldnt tell because she didn't introduce herself. We asked if they could give us 2 separate checks and aksed if the could add the discount to the ticket. The lady told us that our burgers didn't qualify...we told her that the waitress did not oppose our order or tell us that the burgers we wanted were not included in the deal even though she knew this is what we were trying to order. The lady was very non chalant and acted as if she could care less on how we were treated, did not apologize for the misunderstanding and acted as if this was not the first time this has happened. She had a smurk on her face and the tone in her voice sounded and looked as if she knew there was nothing we could do about it but pay. THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME WE COME HERE. Red Robin must have forgotten that the customer is always right because their customer...
