For nearly $300 I was given a room under construction, no carpet in the hallway just raw glue covered concrete, in the room itself it looks like leftover furniture got put in here it doesn't even fill the place up and some of it's not even put together properly, the stand lamp is leaning against the wall. There's a little guest card that talks about the hospital grade cleaners used in the room, but when I walked in it smelled mildewy or possibly of small dead animal, and in the bathroom the front of the bathroom sink where the tissues in the toilet paper are are covered in old gross stains, some makeup perhaps more likely it's random body fluids. The carpet and floor are questionable too. The floor halfway through the room changes level and is bumpy and creaky. I nearly tripped and fell trying to roll my luggage cart over to that part of the room. It was also gross that I can't bring myself to shower in here despite desperately needing one, and last night I slept with all my clothes on including my socks I am not letting my body touch any part of this room that doesn't have to. I had been driving from 4:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. when I checked in after having gotten delayed by a lot of mountain traffic, and construction, and the only thing the clerk was offering to help me with was to cancel my reservation. While I was exhausted and it was late at night and I would get caught with last minute charges anywhere I tried to go to. Which I didn't have the energy or ability to do with that time. I'm leaving this review I've contacted the management company and I'm waiting around before I leave to talk to the manager when they get here at 7:00 a.m. they charged almost $300 for this room. And then they overbooked and punished me by shoving me into a construction room. And another thing is even with the fact that the furniture in here feels like leftovers It's so poorly placed that in this huge huge room, you can barely get the luggage cart through the passageway where they've put a table and chairs against the wall instead of in the dining area where it seems like it should go. But obviously nobody cared when they put anything...

Yes, the lobby does not look super polished yet, but it was fine (nothing dangerous or dirty). They had full breakfast, but not a ton of seating (could be less ideal with kids, but you can eat outside patio or in your room). When we arrived, someone had tracked muddy boots across the floor, but it was cleaned up within 30 minutes. Everything was up to the standards of Quality Inn I've stayed at elsewhere.
Some of the other reviews made us concerned about the construction, but there was no problem. Great deal, amenities, and location. Didn't see any of the bugs or cigarette smoke or mold or whatever else people are complaining about. Sure some of the rooms have a bit of wear (they are actively renovating it to refresh it), but everything was clean, comfortable, and functional. Some people expect 5 star hotel at 2 star prices...smh.
Room was clean, tidy, spacious, and functional. Bathroom was clean everywhere, I appreciated the shower curtain curved bar to give a bit more space. All appliances in good working order: mini fridge, microwave, AC, tv, bathroom fan. Nice comfortable modern bed & bedding.
Pool & hot tub clean. Nice BBQ patio overlooking the river.
Fitness center/gym is across the street at the Comfort Inn (you can walk there without crossing a major road).
River access is great for sitting along the rocky banks or taking a morning run. It is immediately outside the hotel, which is great.
Lots of food options in the area and right next to rt 70, so you can easily go to downtown Glenwood Springs in 5-10 minutes. Noise from the highway was fine, we barely noticed. River-facing room would be nice but the highway-facing one still had a good view of the mountains across the valley. Area felt safe (walked to Dairy Queen & gas station late one night for food).
Hot breakfast: eggs, sausage, yogurt, 3 types cereal (2 kid friendly), milk, apple juice, orange juice, muffins, pastries, toast, made to order waffles, apples. Exactly what you'd expect for a Quality...
Read moreThe room smelled bad of cigarettes or cigars. We had an 8 month old baby with us. Hopefully, that didn't affect him at all. The AC didn't really work. The room seemed warm even with high cool running. The temperature seemed about the same or warmer as the outside temperature. It was 70°-90° throughout the day. Flys and cockroachs were in the room. Did not expect much of those. The elevator was getting painted while i was trying to get to the room after check-in. Fumes were really strong, and after he was done, he just left the elevator door closed and operational. He did not leave doors open to air out. Dont know why they couldn't have done that during the week. The elevator temporary operation certificate inspection sticker was expired. I dont know if this was a safe elevator to be in, especially with a baby. I barely had any room for the stroller. He had both his ladder and paint gear inside the elevator. My family members had to take the stairs down they didn't have a problem with that its just the common courtesy. Besides the fact he removed everything the first time when we were trying to go up but trying to go down, we had to split up. We know you have a job, but at least say out of service if you're in there working. Hopefully, no one in a wheelchair, walker, or neex assistance tries to get down, and he tries to .take them squeeze in or make them take the stairs to get down.
The view was ok. I got to see the river from the room. The location was ok, was in waking distance of the gas station. Only the water and fridge seemed like the only things that could get cold. The only reasons why I didn't put 1 star.
Was charged way over price for this hotel room nearly 300$ for 1 night. That is an absurd amount to pay for a 2 star hotel. The free breakfast didn't have anything to make up for it. Pool was small. Hallways smelled like weed and cigarettes. Felt like I was...
