Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Glenwood Springs

Went there on Friday 3/25/22 mid-afternoon. Doors were locked staff just looked at us no sign on door. Finally a customer sitting having lunch let us in. Thinking the staff maybe unaware the doors were locked I told them, to which an older early to mid 20 man said nothing. Continued to talk with his friends a, group of 4 guys drinking shakes and eating. They laughed. Another customer tried to open doors. Still no staff assisted. We let them in and then I asked the guy at register why the doors are locked, or are the stuck. Finally the other rude guy answered and said "We're closed inside. Use drive thru" By this time I had it and said "if you put a sign on the door then no one would come in. We would know." Went to use bathroom. Disgusting. Smelled awful, mirror looked like it was wiped with grease. The older kid was very hostile. Rude and made me and 2 other customers that came in after me very uncomfortable. If you need to stop or want on ice cream keep driving. It would be better to drive all the way to Avon. They even messed up an order of 3 small dipped cones. Too fearful to ask to have it corrected. While eating the cones outside 6 different cars came got out and tried to get in the store. Still no sign. We told them to use drive thru. We shouldn't have. We should have told them to go elsewhere but didn't. There were 7 staff persons there. Not...

I came to the drive through, I placed my order, they gave me my total and asked me to get to the window, I parked there and the employees were gossiping around, I could hear the entire conversation, waited there while the guy at the drive up was serving sodas thinking that it was part of my order, when he finished talking to the other employees all he came to say to me was…”sorry but we closed the kitchen.” Why would they take my order and give me the total and tell me to pull up to the window? I came almost full 15 minutes before closing to be told the kitchen is closed, after waiting to pay and thinking my order was ready at 10:56 I was told that and that was before 11pm. If I was told since taking my order that it was closed I would have been ok…the food here is great but definitely lack quality customer service…I’m not talking about all your employees but definitely the closing crew on 6/6/25, I would understand if there were no customers in but there was still people...

Go elsewhere. I ordered an ice cream cake for my husbands birthday online to be picked up in store. When I went there to pick it up it had no decorations on it. It only had the message on top that I had requested. When I asked the manager if it was the right cake she said yes but they only decorate the ones in the display case not the online orders. The online order I placed stated that this cake design would be made into the size/shape requested. Seems like they don’t want to do any extra work for online orders. When I asked if I could just grab one out of the display case then and have them write something on it she said no because she wouldn’t be able to sell the one they made.
