We stayed there for a while and it was a blessing to have it at the time.|However, as time went on, various issues kept popping up, including one of GREAT CONCERN.|Below are the pros and cons:||PROS:|- Location is close to downtown and Goleta and freeways|- Parking - there's always a space|- Kitchenette, dining and cooking utensils including dish rack|- Storage space - closet, dresser, two night tables|- Free Wi-Fi (see CON area below about consistency)|- Luggage Rack availability, there are 2 and 1 is always available|- Bathroom fan|- Water pressure for shower|- Hot water consistency, you may have to play around with fixture to figure out how to get max hot water|- Elevator size and functionality|- Regular trash pick-up inside and out||CONS:|- Refrigerator door opens on incorrect side due to door installed incorrectly|- BUGS, BUGS, BUGS all over the kitchen and bathroom - most likely they live in the refrigerator motor, there are always refrigerators outside in the back|- Shower curtain too short, always leaks on floor|- TV Wi-Fi choppy, often TV turns off over and over|- Bed linens thin as sheets|- Laundry room unclean, adds blue dye to your clothes|- Big construction trucks in parking area taking up lots of space and best parking spots|- And finally, the biggest issue of all:| There is a female staff person there who is borderline obsessive and has major boundary issues. She will hook up with the guests and shack up in their room. Worst of all, she goes into guest's rooms when they're out and uses their personal items in addition to contaminating their food with toxic substances. |She is hard to read. She seems to be helpful, friendly, and all things required.|However, there's a dark side, and honestly, she's dangerous.|She'll tell you it's her hotel, and that's probably where the problem lies - delusional.|This is the biggest problem there besides the bugs, and she needs to be exposed before she does something...
Read moreThis place is fantastic. So for starters what makes the place so fantastic? It all begins with the people. Sarah and Brian greet you and instantly make you feel at home. This is a great place to stay with many of the amenities that you would find at home. Pets are welcome and there are pet waste stations sprinkled along the property and plenty of places for you to walk with your pet. I even saw cats in the window so pets are welcome which is an amazing thing especially if you're between homes or on the road. This place isn't like a resort hotel with a pool but rather a place that truly does feel like a home away from home and being on the road or traveling for work going to see friends and family or being in between homes you can't find a better solution than Extended Stay America and goleta. The sweets are equipped with all your standard things you'd expect free Wi-Fi a television a spacious bathroom with hair dryer there's an ironing board and iron a microwave a refrigerator and even a cooktop. In addition there is laundry facilities on the premises which is unbelievable. The front desk will even make available to you a variety of cooking items pots and pans silverware and dishes all for free and all real stuff not paper goods.
I have stayed there several times and will definitely be staying there again soon. They make you feel so welcome and the other fellow Travelers and people residing there for the moment it attracts a really great group of people. Plus it's in a wonderful location that's accessible to everything in Santa Barbara yet still...

There was significant dirt and dust under the bed. Its a small thing, but the fridge door opens on the a side close to a wall that makes it mildly obnoxious to get in and out.
My big issue is that the front desk was frankly combative. I needed to check out early, but needed a cost comparison quote to demonstrate to my company that it was indeed cheaper, otherwise I would be required to pay out of pocket. It may seem silly, and indeed is bureaucratic, but that is their policy.
Rather than helping me, the front desk questioned why I even needed it, and was downright rude and berating. I thought it was just perhaps the person behind the desk at the time, so I went at a different time, and received the same experience. Eventually I was able to get a hand written note, written while literally grumbling about how silly it was. I KNOW it was silly. It was unnecessarily painful.
I will not be staying here again, nor do I recommend it to others. It is not worth the low price or...
