Tru off of Bullard Rd in Goodyear, Arizona is definitely a place I would never re-visit due to the filthy dirty room.
When I entered the room the first thing I did was turn the Air conditioning unit on because it was hot and the sun beamed straight into the window. I heard a noise and looked over only to noticed crackers crammed into the air conditioner vent and lots of crumbs/dirt/dust on the floor in various places of the room as well as smudges on the mirrors so I called hotel staff and I got switched to another room. Unfortunately the same scenario played out, minus the crackers in vents nor smudges on the mirrors, however crumbs along the floors seemed like a trend at this hotel. I also noticed rust in mini refrigerator when I added my bottle waters. Sadly I also noticed someone left their hair behind and the staff member came in to wipe away a portion of the crumbs and grabbed the hair. The towels were so scratchy and the pillows were old and lumpy which was extremely uncomfortable. To make matters worse, on one occasion of taking the elevator up to my room, the floors leading to the elevator as well as the elevator floors were wet as if someone spilled a large cup of liquid.
I absolutely wouldn’t stay at Tru again. It was unclean and I ended up having to purchase sani-wipes to clean everything as well as wipe large smudges off the walls near the entry bed.
The only plus was the breakfast options (pancakes, bagels, yogurt, boiled eggs, bacon etc) however, the juice machine was out of apple juice and right before I was going to serve my drink, it broke and someone had to be called to come repair it.
Overall, I don’t...
Read moreI walked in and the Asian woman ( not to be disrespectful but I don’t have a name) he smile immediately dropped when I walked in so that made me uncomfortable, everyone at the front desk seemed unhappy like they didn’t want to be there. Customer service is very important to me and neither one of the staff members appeared to represent Tru by Hilton. The room was in ok condition, I layed down and noticed a blood stain on the comforter so I asked for a new one, a female from housekeeping followed me up to the room with 2 sets of linen for both beds, I removed the lined and noticed a huge urine stain on the mattress so she called the General Manager up to the room and she said “ oh well we use a special bleach spray on the mattress so you should be fine”( I work in the healthcare industry and that is a huge OSHA violation) I stated to her that I did not feel comfortable sleeping on a pee stained mattress so she hesitated then offered to switch rooms, The new room had candy and crumbs on the platform part of the bed, and black scuff marks on the walls, I felt uncomfortable complaining to her as the general manager because she made me feel uncomfortable and didn’t seem to care about cleanliness so I checked out the next morning and will never stay there again. I drive by Tru everyday to and from work and always wanted to stay there and I finally had a chance to and the whole experience was just horrible. I called and requested for someone to call me and possibly refund me for my stay as it was not what I expected at all. I don’t have the general managers name but I believe she is middle eastern, and wears her hair back and...
Read moreOk if you don't mind a filthy tiny room for a short stay. Staffs great and friendly lobby has lots to do (games pool snacks) breakfast is decent but the rooms are filthy. And good luck trying to get them to clean them. Room service is by request and if you call to request it you'll be bartering for what they'll actually be cleaning. They mostly just want to drop off new towels and take out the trash. As I found a previous guests false eyelashes in my bed I asked for the sheets to be changed and was able after some negotiation to get them to agree. The emergency escape route sign was glued to the floor when I got here making a trip hazard which I thought was weird u til I realized it had just called adhesive side down from the back of the door. Then the walls have dirt smears and scuffs from all previous guests on them ina edition to dried drops of food and what appears to be blood. The bathroom light is covered in a splattering of what appears to be blood as well, which I didn't notice until my last night or I would have Changed rooms. Also the blackout curtains in a lot of the rooms don't fully open/close as they're poorly installed. There's also nowhere to put clothing or a suitcase save for 4 hangers over your refrigerator and some wall legs for coats. Def get the 2 queen room to have any functionality/a ace to put your stuff. I was here for work so definitely not my choice. I will say I've stayed in trust in other places that were at least clean but also all with no staging for a suitcase so the lack of cleanliness is exclusive to...
