We were so excited to go to the Stillery on this past Sunday before we went to The Boots in the Park! We had a group of 12. I called the day. They opened to make a reservation because I knew it was going to be busy. We were arriving on a massive bus limo and only had one hour so we knew we would have to order food and drinks asap as we had the concert! Whoever I talk to you on the phone on opening day was super helpful, they went to speak with the manager to see if they can reserve a table by the Dancefloor and the manager app approved that. Everything was set to go! We get there at 3:10 to make sure we are seated by 3:15 ( they knew we had the limo and concert prior). The tables were not ready so we wait 10 minutes. As we see the time is ticking and Out of time I go back up and the manager is sitting there and I ask if our tables almost ready because we have a 315 reservation with our limo outside. He points to a table and says we are waiting for them to leave. The table was a big group (furthest from dance floor that we were promised) and no where near ready. I told him that’s not where we were supposed to sit and he said they were taking tables away by the Dance floor. Another 10 minutes pass and still no table so at this point, we are already almost 25 Standing there, so I complained as the manager manager again and he has no clue what’s going on. At this point, we are not going to be able to get food so we go to the bar to get a drink and still no table. I see two large tables by the Dancefloor that are just dirty and sitting so I mentioned to the We can sit there and he said they need to be cleaned. Well, no one was cleaning them….moving on…we sit at the dirty table…no time to eat…mind you, a table of 12 can easily spend a quick $500 in 45 min on food and drinks but no one cared. Moving on, we have to go..no time for food….i asked a bartender to make me a mix to go (limes, soda water and jalapeño) and my friend a to go water. We walk outside and some of the employees stopped me and said I can’t take my drink out. There is no alcohol in this drink and I paid for it. It’s as if someone was taking a lemonade to go. It’s illegal in Arizona to take to go drinks? And then I said what about my friends water and they said they can’t take that either but she was already walking away. So if my seven-year-old wants to bring her lemonade home, she can’t? The girl said nope. We had such a good time at the Stillery in Nashville and East Valley and definitely did not have this awful customer service. The manager gave us zero help and had no clue what was going on in his restaurant. The employees are all on different pages and I can definitely guarantee that it’s not illegal to take a non-alcoholic beverage to go! Anyway, awful service and management in Goodyear. It’s a shame as the other ones are so amazing! Zero stars. Do...
Read moreI was so excited to try this place. We (party of 5) went on a Thursday @ 5pm and it was already packed. We were able to get a table right away. The building gives a cool Nashville vibe, loud music, and a stage for a band. They took our drink orders right away. My coke came with a surprise, lipstick on the glass. I did not have lipstick on. Unfortunately, I did not notice until I was a few straw sips in. Ok, they are new..let it slide. I did get another drink. We ordered our appetizers. The pretzels & cast iron wings.. Nashville hot. The waitress said they were very hot. They were not. At best, they were medium. For dinner, my hubby ordered the strawberry salad. He liked it (say no blue cheese if that's not your fav). I got the mac & cheese with the hot chicken. The mac & cheese was flavorless. It had no salt or pepper. Very bland, the only thing that saved it was the chicken. So yes, I got the Nashville hot again since it wasn't spicy. Well, let me tell you... they must have not done the Nashville hot on the wings because, dang, this chicken was hot! My lips were numb by the 4th piece of chicken..I had to slather it in the plain mac & cheese to eat it. My very picky nephew ordered the pepperoni pizza. His pizza looked delicious, but he did not like all the diced tomatoes all over it. They were so small he just picked the pepperoni off and ate some crust. My niece had the chicken fingers and fries. She liked them, the fries not so much. The place has a good vibe, but I suggest the drinks and the music..eat before you get there or just order appetizers. The price, with multiple cocktails, wasn't that bad.. I think we had 8 mixed drinks and dinner for less than $200 for 5 people. I will be back.. I really want to like this place. Omg I did forget the best part. The brownie ice cream and the cookie with ice cream. Best!! ...
Read moreCame here for the 1st time a few days ago. 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and water came out to 50 bucks. I'm pretty turned off by the state of food prices these days but at least this place did more than most to justify it. The portion size was good enough that I was legit full before finishing the food, which almost never happens so I was impressed. The pickle chips were good at first but so salty I started turning into human jerky and didn't finish them. My entree was the prosciutto benedict. It was mostly really good, like one of my favorite not more expensive brunch foods I've had, though one egg (not both) was way past done. My friend's entree was the salmon benedict and according to her was good but according to me was somewhere in a very ambiguous place between good and gross and had both eggs way past done. It's nice inside but was VERY loud due to speaker setting. When I'm sitting there trying to enjoy and my mind is cast back to remembering trying to communicate next to pumps that circulate 100,000+ gallons in a few seconds it would be nice to have the sound blaster cranked down a notch. The server reaching way far out across the railing to try to hand off the food was also kind of more difficult than just going around. And now I remember the parking was such that it nearly led to a long walk. Come to think of it this was quite the imperfect experience but it did have high points, and maybe I'm just channeling my inner Josef Stalin here but quantity REALLY does have a quality of its own. It was good enough that for that quality level to size to price balance I probably would...
