The lower level isn't level at all. It will make you feel drunk when you're not and worse after a few drinks. The jaccuzzi tub doesn't have jets to massage sore muscles, instead it blows bubbles from the bottom. We felt like eggs, boiling in a pot. The control pad is up too high, you must stand or get out of the tub to reset the timer. Though there seemed to be several adjustable settings, we couldn't get it to do anything but "boiled eggs". Meanwhile, at random intervals, cold water would shoot out from the bubbles. The vanity shelf is awkward and way too small. The ill fit toilet seat wobbles. Black out curtains would be preferable to the hard-to-maneuver mini blinds. The pictures might give you the impression that the recliners face a television. No. The recliners are just filling space with a view towards the kitchen and the bathroom - giant purse holders. If the unit were mine, I would swap the queen bed with a king, then separate the bedroom with locking, french doors and replace the recliners with a sofa bed or better yet, put the queen bed in there. Maybe the owner prefers renting to individual couples but that doesn't explain the large assortment of Disney movies on VHS. I didn't see a DVD player as advertised. On second thought, the TV table might pull out into the recliner area but couples won't bother. We'd just lounge on the bed. I don't know how to rate this place. I was told the upper unit was reserved, if there were people up there, I'd never believe it. The sound proofing must be masterminded, we couldn't hear a peep. The bed was comfortable, the unit was clean, the location is good. Parking at the front door was superb. It wasn't worth $125 ($140 after tax), maybe $80 tops, until a 2nd bed is installed with a privacy door. I do wish a sign reminded us of check-out time. There should be a place to set a suitcase and hang clothes. Aside from the mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker displayed in the photos, there is also a toaster. I'm not sure what you'd do with it without a stove. It made me want eggs. Folgers was provided with sugar and Sweet-n-low packets, and high calorie, french vanilla creamer. If you're a Splenda fan, come prepared. Paper plates were available, 2 coffee cups and a few spoons, forks and butter knives. If you need bowls, bring them. With a second bed, this place would've been a lot of fun for 2 couples with a deck of cards on the porch. Maybe you can make due with an air mattress on the porch. That space is level. There is a nice deck with a patio table and 4 chairs just outside, between Peace Of Quiche and End Of The Trail. An outdoor hot tub would be...

Read moreMy husband and I stayed here for our anniversary for a 1 night overnight stay. The guest house was adorable and very clean. The location was perfect and the owner was very receptive to questions or calls. We arrived in the evening and she had left the front porch light on for us. Very thoughtful.|If there were a few things that I could suggest for the owner it might be to post a check out time and possible places to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner in the area. The issue we ran into was that we couldn't find anywhere to have brunch in Grafton on a Wednesday. I guess they only expect visitors on the weekend. |The other thing that might be nice is a dresser or wardrobe to hang clothes. If you were staying an entire weekend, there isn't anywhere to put your clothes. There was a coffee pot and coffee cups in the kitchenette which was great. We did bring our own wine glasses and opener and it was a good thing we did. I'm not sure everyone would always think of these things so might be good to stock a few glasses in the cabinet.|Overall we would stay here again and would recommend it to others. I think it would be fun to rent the lower unit and have some friends rent the upstairs unit and maybe try a...
