BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL!!!
It took me a minute to be able to make this review without being triggered. We were here for my son’s college Admitted Day and we were so excited! However, staying at this hotel immediately made this trip a very stressful one.
First, walking through the hallway to our room, there was a loud mildew smell with large industrial fans blowing. This should’ve been my indication to go elsewhere but I pressed on.
We were in a rush so we put our stuff down and immediately left. When we returned it was late and we had to be back at the campus by 7am. So we needed to shower and lay down… this is when I noticed just how nasty this room was. Our shower could not have been cleaned prior to our arrival and there was mold present as well. It was absolutely disgusting! I called the front desk and expressed my concern and was given the manager’s info and I stayed up that night to email her pictures and my issues.
The next day, no one reached out to me to address my issues by the time we finished on campus. So I went to the front desk to express the issues personally. I was credited one night’s stay and moved to a new room. Lo and behold what seemed to be cigarette droppings were on the bed in the new room. The manager was adamant that it was “only” debris from the vent being cleaned so they changed out the top bedding on my bed.
I then quickly realized I had left my baby daughter’s clothes I bought from the store in the prior room’s closet. I went to the front desk and the MOD searched the lost and found and she also searched every housekeeper’s cart in the hotel… my daughters clothes had been taken… over $200 worth of clothes! The MOD assured me she would get to the bottom of it and find out who stole her clothes. I was in tears and felt so violated. I honestly didn’t think she would find them. I had to go to sleep stressed about my daughter’s new school clothes for Kindergarten!
Thankfully, the MOD kept her word and the next day I received my daughter’s clothes! The Maintenance manager pulled me to the side and was extremely apologetic and asked how he could make it right… but honestly the damage had already been done! This hotel is unsanitary and there is a lack of integrity that needs to be addressed! The reactions of the staff tells me this isn’t the first theft issue among their staff and that is alarming. I sent a very detailed email to the manager and she didn’t respond until I completed a survey that was emailed to me asking for more info. I really didn’t know what else to give her since I had already given a very detailed explanation of what transpired! As suspected, never heard back!
Needless to say, I will be in Greensboro very often while my son is in college but I will NEVER EVER EVER visit this place again and you should also be careful of visiting them as well! If you do, take cleaning supplies and keep a close watch on all...
Read moreI left my room Saturday morning for work at around 10:45 a.m. no sign on my door. I had expected my room would be clean when I returned and items replenished. I returned in the evening, after working all day to my room, which housekeeping had not entered at all. I called the front desk and was informed that housekeeping had left for the day. The front desk associate Elena asked if I had a door hanger on when I left and I answered absolutely not and it is still in my room. She was sweet and apologized and said she would have the housekeeping come tomorrow. I explained that I expected them to come Sunday, but that does not make up for not coming today. I also asked about a package I was expecting signed by Kat the previous day. The package was a large box I'm not sure what Kat had done with it, but she certainly did not give it to me. Elena did locate my package, but again this had been delivered on Friday and I did not receive it till Saturday night.
I generally reuse my towels, but I like my room checked, bed made and dishes etc. done daily. I went to the front desk and informed them that I was not happy with the lack of housekeeping service. Yesterday, I went down to the lobby at 11:00 I informed the front desk clerk that I felt the need to stop at the desk and personally request housekeeping. I told her I was on my way to the pool and I would return to my room at around noon, please have my room cleaned either while I'm at the pool or when I leave for that for work. I explained what happened on Saturday and heard her on the phone with housekeeping. I was assured my room would be clean. I am attaching pictures although only 2 I think you will understand why I am upset. My room was NEVER cleaned on Monday. I returned to my room Monday night and I didn't even have toilet paper. I called the front desk and again they apologized and asked about if I had a door hanger on my door....This is insane I not only did not have a door hanger on my door I actually made a stop at the front desk to ensure I would receive housekeeping services. I had to request toilet paper.
I had to request toilet paper twice during my stay here, which is insane. House keeping service is awful. Kathrine at the front desk was rude.
I called the manager on Monday regarding my lack of housekeeping services 3 days later still no return call. I also asked the front desk to have the manager
I am so very unhappy with the lack of...
Read moreWhen i made my reservation i called and asked if hotel offers a crib. The front desk said “yes” which is listed on their amenities on their website also. I messaged through Bonvoy app on my way to the hotel if we can have a crib in our room. They responded “We will take care of that for you”. Arrived at the hotel around 10:00 PM after 12 hours drive with my 5 and 2 year old. We went to the room and there is no crib. Went to the front desk and person at the desk told me they don’t have cribs after Covid. I explained him my previous communication with the hotel and told him it doesn’t make sense, it’s a Marriott standard. He repeated the same thing to shut me off. I was chasing open stores to find a crib around 10:30 PM so I can put my exhausted 2 year old to sleep after a long ride. Next day I talked to the operations manager Robert and he apologized and said he will be crediting me my first night back due to inconvenience.|When I was checking out I explained the person at the front desk my conversation with Robert and asked her when should I expect the credit to be applied. She said she is a General Manager and they don’t credit entire night. When I repeated her what her own manager told me, she said I need to follow up with him to make sure it’s correct. Then she added that she is not calling me a liar but she needs to confirm. I didn’t hear anything back from them for two days after checking out so I called Marriott Customer Service to explain what’s going on. Shortly after Operations Manager Robert emailed me and said he is applying my refund and I should be seeing it in 10 business days. |After 10 days I still didn’t see anything applied to my account by the hotel neither any follow up communication I received from them. |It’s way different experience than you receive from any other Marriott property you would stay at. If this hotel be inspected my Marriott they would have major concerns to keep their brand on it. Rooms and public areas are the dirtiest I have ever seen at any hotel. We had a blood stain on shower curtain, after how they failed communicating with me I didn’t even want to bring that up. Breakfast was awful. Front desk associates are rude but you understand why when you meet with GM. This hotel has no clue what customer service means. |This is not a Marriott experience.|Don’t let that Residence Inn sign they put up on their wall...
