Ruby Tuesday — Restaurant in Greensboro

UPDATE 08/03/2023:

I received a response from Ruby Tuesday's about my review below. I was told that someone from their corporate office would be calling me concerning the obvious lack of attention we were shown and the lack of pride in the quality of their food and customer service, in which both should have been at the top of their list. So far I haven't heard a single word from them. Lack of concern from the corporate office would explain the lack of concern from the staff at this location. By the way, the food wasn't even hot. I forgot to add that to my order review.

I apologize for the lengthy review and update but I actually read reviews myself and I appreciate it when others take the time to give honest, detailed reviews. I skipped reading reviews on this location because I've always enjoyed eating at any other location I've ever visited. I didn't feel as it it was necessary. To top it all off, it was a really special event as it was my granddaughter's 18th birthday. I was so disappointed.

The food was just ok. I've definitely had better from other locations. My steak was undercooked. Our server was horrible. I don't know if she was new or just that bad but our order came out in bits and pieces. Zero silverware, zero butter for our potatoes, missing food and drinks, etc. I had to ask for a few things more than once. Our server never once came around to even refill our drinks. She simply disappeared and we had to ask other wait staff to ask her to bring us stuff that should have been there to begin with. We would have asked her ourselves but she was nowhere to be found. The other personnel we spoke with about missing items seemed to be irritated by her lack of attention to her job. I really hope she was just new but if she was, she still needed to be with a trainer. She wasn't ready to be on her own. I won't be visiting this...

Where do I start. We enter the property at 3:30 and we're set and waited 16 minutes before having to go inquire if someone's going to ask us for our drinks. By the way the restaurant was basically empty. Once that happened they came out took our order for our drinks. We were waiting and no one came back to take our order. As we go up to the salad bar the salad has caramelized lettuce. Come back to the table the Sprite my daughter had tasted like carbonated water. Then not only after waiting 20 minutes for the food. We get the check our daughters get two kids meals that comes with beverage however our kids order a Sprite with grenadine in it. She charged us extra for the Sprite that had carbonated water in it and the Shirley temples when I asked her about letting us know that it was an upcharge with their kids meal she says I don't have to let you know it's an upcharge at that point I just told her to get her manager because that was ridiculous. Also the table next to us how to ask us for A1 sauce and our ketchup. We watched four other couples come into the property sitting there waiting for a staff to address them. The manager Georgia came out and solved the problem and helped us. There's no reason for a server to have an attitude when I asked her that should have let us know it was an upcharge. I understand people have things happen none of us are perfect we all have life show up in our lives we all make mistakes. So on the bright part the server was very nice and cheerful before the bill came out and I shared with her that she should have let us know about the upcharge. At the end of the day I still gave her a good tip. I'm grateful that management came through and...

The service was good. Cheven was busy with a large group beside us but managed to take very good care of us. Saying that, pretty upset with the bill. We asked for a high ball which from what we understood was $4. Instead of the short glass we simply asked for a tall glass which gave us more Mello Yellow. The bill says whsky/brbn mixr $4 then says Canadian Club $2. We did not ask for a double, simply a taller glass with more soda. I'm assuming because our server didn't understand what we wanted but I will again say she was a good server. Also, in our group was myself, my husband and our daughter. My daughter and I chose the 2 for $24.99. My husband chose the salmon dish. When it came to dessert that came with my daughter and my meal my husband helped me chose mine and said lime cake and my daughter got the Oreo cake. When we got home I realized the server thought my husband and I both wanted the lime cake so we were charged $6.49 for an extra cake that we didn't even want or ask for. So, we were charged $24.99 for mine and my daughter's meal, $17.99 for my husband's meal, $4.00 plus $2.00 for each drink in which we both had two, so that's $24.00 for drinks, which we thought would be $16.00 for 4 high balls, $6.49 for the extra cake which equals $81.41. So we were charged $14.49 more than what we thought it would be. An additional reminder to anyone that orders the ribs with cole slaw and has left overs, ask for a to go box for the Cole Slaw to go in the to go plate or your left over ribs will smell and taste like cabbage the next day. I did leave a very generous tip because I knew the server was busy and she did very good job...
