DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL! I booked a room a week ago through Hotwire - Room was paid in full as Hotwire does and then it sent me the confirmation email with hotel after it was paid. I called the hotel tonight to let them know I was still coming to check in, just would be a little later due to travel - but would still be there after midnight. The lady at the desk could not find my reservation in the system. I asked if I could send her my confirmation email as proof, which she said yes. Sent the confirmation email over and she still could not find my room. At that point she said she that she sees I have all the necessary paperwork of proof of my reservation, however since I am not in her system I will just have to book another room- and not only that, book it at their current rate which was now over 500 dollars! Which is more than double of what I had already paid for the room. Of course I told her there was no way I was doing that when I had already completely paid for the room in full and she had proof of that. She again acknowledged she saw all that but that there was nothing she could do. I asked her if there was another manager or someone I could talk to to assist with this as I KNOW they have the ability to help people out in these situations. I have stayed in MANY hotels over the years and have been in other situations and there is always a way to help which does not include triple paying for a room you had already paid for with proof! She started to get very ugly with me at that point and basically kept saying that there was nothing she could do. I also am aware at this point that it is homecoming weekend at ECU and ALL the hotels are booked so there is no way I am going to get a room anywhere else. I kept going back that there had to be a way to get is set up in a room that night since there were some available and that maybe in the morning we could have some assistance from a higher up but she just wasn't having it. She ended up very rudely hanging up on me after having a very ugly attitude towards me at the end. If someone who is higher up at this hotel happens to see this review- whoever you had working the front desk at 10:30 pm on Saturday Oct 21st is NOT cut out for customer service and cannot handle your new hotel properly. I would completely steer clear of this hotel if you are considering it. I have attached my proof of payment below as well to further show that she had all that should have been necessary to provide me the room I paid for over a week ago in full. Due to the ugliness and unwillingness to help us out- we decided to find a hotel where we were (3 hours away) and will drive in to ECU tomorrow for our event. STAY AWAY FROM HOMEWOOD SUITES HILTON GREENVILLE and I truly hope upper management gets the opportunity to see this message so they are aware of the behavior their current...
Read more😢 😢 😢 I don't know where to start!!! This place is a year old but so dirty. Zero customer service. On the first day of check-in, the front desk agent was literally vaping in front of us. She just turned away from the camera and vaped. Her vaping paraphernalia hangs on her neck for easy reach. First night, I got beaten by bedbugs and found a huge one crawling on the bed. I crashed it using facial tissue when to the front desk to report. The night audit guy was deep asleep and had to be woken by the lady trying to set up the morning breakfast. He came out and didn't care about the situation, and I had to tell him that I needed my room switched. He took down my room number and told me someone would call me about the situation during the day. Went out for the day and came back at around 1115pm. The lady on duty had no clue about what I was talking about. So I asked her to check the handover binder because I saw the night guy scribble something on it. She opened, and there it was room * bedbugs. She gave me another room. Never asked me how I was. She did not even apologize. Told me someone would reach out to me the following day. The following day came, I was out, and absolutely no call or email was sent. I came back later that night. (By the way, when you walk by the front desk, there are no greetings or even just a nod.) Went upstairs and came out of the elevator was met with 2 houseperson on their knees cleaning the carpet using a tiny grout brush. I walked past them, and boy, oh boy, someone had pooped on the hallway. Looks like someone before me missed seeing the poop and stepped on it, spreading it all through the hallway. I had to walk on tippy-toes along the edges in order to avoid stepping on it. What a shame to the Hilton brand. You care less about anything that you wouldn't even buy your employees a carpet shampoo machine??? Poor guys had to clean the hallway on their knees?? Hello? What's going on here?? What a shame! I've never been to a motel, but it looks like a motel is run better. What a shame you are to the hospitality industry. All of you need to go back to the boardroom and get a 101 on running a hotel and what it entails. Worst place I have been to. Forgot to mention, the first room I was checked into had been smoked in, got moved to the second room that had bedbugs, and a faint smoke smell. I thought this was a non-smoking hotel.?? On the day of checkout, the night guy was deep asleep. If this dude got nothing to do, get him to clean the filthy lobby floor, dirty elevators, dirty elevator tracks, and empty the overflowing trash outside. It's a small hotel. Everyone needs to be a team player to make the dream work? Seriously, remove the Hilton flag. What a...
Read moreThis was a new Homewood Suites. Keisha, Jaquisha & Heather were all helpful and welcoming. I love the new room layout. After my first stay at a Homewood 7 years ago, I would avoid it for work, because they didn’t have a desk or rolling chair. This Homewood has a desk/table with an extremely comfortable desk chair. The bath had a great walk-in shower. A chair-height toilet was welcome for older joints. So many new hotels or remodels forget this luxury. I love having a kitchen. It is such a treat to be able to make something to eat in your room – and have reusable plates/cups/silverware. The microwave is a good size to reheat items and there is a full-size refrigerator. The outside grilling area is the nicest I have seen in any hotel – and with plenty of outside dining seating. If you came with a group, I would choose this hotel. There are also 2 gas fire pits with comfy sitting areas. A mix of lighting covers the room. The bed is comfortable. The climate control was quiet, as well as the room. I did not hear the neighbors above or beside me. There is plenty of hanging closet space. I enjoyed the couch and ottoman, as they were pristine. It is the best TV I have had to date. A nice mix of stations and you can watch Netflix with your account. The TV easily swivels to watch on the couch, bed and desk. I also loved that you could listen to a choice of music off the TV. Breakfast was standard to Hilton. A call out to Porsha who kept a very clean breakfast area. I liked the location, which was away from the downtown area and easy to get in and out of. One note that I would share with corporate Hilton, the textured wallpaper in the kitchen looked nice, but was not a good choice. There was already food spatter on the walls. Kitchen and bath areas need surfaces that are easy to clean – guests...
