It was horrible! I went in the office Tuesday, June 13th to add 2 more nights to my visit. I was informed the manager entered my room (with the I'M BUSY) sign on the door to fix the toilet seat. When I entered my room, several things were moved. HE WENT THROUGH MY THINGS !!! Then 10+ people were screaming and fighting in the room next to me. I looked out the window and the woman looked at me, pointed and said "DON'T EVEN!" I was scared to death all night. I knew that if I called the police it would escalate! They may be removed but they would have come back. I laid awake until 3 am holding my pistol. At 3:30 am they started screaming again! It was horrifying! The next morning I ran to check out. The manager tried to scold me for not calling him. He is an old man, what would he have done. Then, I didn't trust him because he had gone through my items. Finally, after scolding me for several minutes, I told him I don't want to discuss this anymore, just check me out. Then he claimed his computer was down and if I could give him 30 minutes. I threated that I would call the corporate office if he didn't get it done now because I had to leave since my daughter was in the hospital. I WILL NEVER USE A SUPER 8 AGAIN.! I will be contacting an ATTORNEY for emotional distress, Imprisonment since I couldn't leave my room that night, nightmares every night. False sense of safety and anything else he can think of. Terrible, just terrible! ALSO, the television was so loud in the office, no wonder the manager didn't hear anything. He intentionally turned the tv up loud so he wouldn't hear how horrible this motel is!
It was filthy! There was a sticky substance on the floor in the bathroom, bugs in the shower. The microwave was dirty and other people's food was in the refrigerator. The only reason I planned on staying 2 more days was because there was a convention in town and everyone else was booked. With this horrible experience, I spent the next Wednesday and Thursday at the Hilton in Rockwall because this super 8 was horrible, no...
Read moreGod forbid you ask to talk to a manager about a price discrepancy. I was met with attitude by the front desk lady who informed me the owner is out of town. Interestingly, I just talked to the owner 45 minutes prior over the phone and was met with attitude by him as well. So I went in for a receipt in order to find out where the discrepancy was myself. They also never sent us an email confirmation, text confirmation nor gave us a paper confirmation for the booking and price until we had a verbal altercation. They flat out over charged and wrote a different number on the receipt AFTER they already charged the card a larger amount than what was agreed upon. I was told to come back in a week when the owner is "back in town" and then in the same sentance told me im banned from coming back and she will call the police. She refused to let me leave a note, message or give me a clear direction as to how this could be handled ASAP. We stay (multiple times) here because its cheap, not because its clean. We were told to find somewhere else to book if its too expensive for us... its not that its "too expensive" for us and more the fact we didnt want to spend $100 on a room that has pee and blood stains on the comforter. Also, cigarette burns on the bed, sheets, blankets, etc in a non smoking room. We needed a room for 4hrs and didnt really expect a clean room in the first place considering is Super 8... my problem isn't with the dirty room, its gross FOR SURE, but that was expected. Charging $100 for filth, was not expected.
Hopefully buisness that continue to mistreat the very people that keep the doors open, all fail in a swift and...
Read moreThe room was filthy. If it weren't for being exhausted from our 12 hour car ride we would have left right away. I was so uncomfortable in our room I barely slept and literally had nightmares when I did. The floor had not been washed in months or possibly years, there were nasty splatters of who knows what all over the walls, the base boards were pealing away from the walls, the TV had a thick line running through it, the fridge did not get cold, the ironing board was so disgusting with stains , our non-smoking room had burn holes in the sheets, the bathroom exhaust fan rattled so loudly when turning on the light. The night manager ran into our room before we entered and went into the bathroom with a screwdriver and said he was told the exhaust fan was ready to come down but said it was fine. That was not the case. The smoke detector had tape or plastic hanging from it as if another occupant tried to cover it up so they could smoke in the room. Upon turning our key in to the same night manager the next morning, we told him of how disgusted we were with the condition of the room and he remained completely silent. I'm sure he hears the same complaints all of the time. Before checking in to the Super 8, we also checked out the other hotels in that area and they seemed to be just as bad or worse. It looked as if the occupants were long-term tenants who where drinking alcohol in the parking, scoping out their surroundings and tossing litter where they pleased. The whole experience there was like a horror movie. I highly recommend skipping Greenville altogether and head to...
