Best Western Plus Greenwood/Indy South Inn — Hotel in Greenwood

We stay here every 3 months or so, when we come to Indianapolis for dr appts and/or to see our grandsons. This time we were VERY disappointed.

Front desk check In was excellent. Very nice young lady, very professional, very friendly and helpful.

Room was a double queen, pet friendly. The room this time was dirty with long hair in the bathroom, stained bed comforter, repairs needed in the bathroom. Glad there was no carpet in the room. Over all way below what we have experienced here. Pool was awesome. On check out day @ 9am we get a knock at the door and a lady said she was suppose to have our room. Not until 11 I explained. She left. 20 min later the cleaning staff wanted to clean because they said someone needed the room. Very, Very disappointing. When I asked the front desk, they apologized and said someone had given our room number as their check out and it was the front desk clerk that was knocking on our door the first time. This could have been handled with just a phone call to the room.

Other things to consider: Good water pressure, 4’6” pool, kids like crazy!! 2 bath towels for 4 people and 2 wash towels. Swimming pool had hand towels to dry off with. Breakfast was nice.

Rooms were fabulous! The hotel itself was beautiful HOWEVER… the lady that checked us out the morning after our stay was the rudest person we have ever dealt with! We paid upon arriving at the hotel but at checkout the lady that was working tried to charge us a second time for our stay. When my husband told her we had already paid upon arrival she told him she couldn’t listen to him or his point of view. She was extremely dismissive. He tried showing her the proof of payment and proof of points taken off and the $50 gift card we had and used on our stay and she told him they never received the gift card and no payment. We told her to call the owner to solve this issue. We were told it would be 15-30 minutes… we ended up waiting an hour for him to arrive. Upon his arrival, he was able to verify that we paid and said he knew before he got there that we had already paid for our room. So basically the woman that was working to check us out tried double charging, was disrespectful, and a liar.

We were offered no compensation for our troubles for waiting an hour and the mistreatment. We were treated as common criminals.

I was hopeful upon arrival that this would be a top location but the treatment by this staff member made it the worst...

We stayed at this location twice. The property lobby was nice and the proximity to places to pick up items like Walmart and places to eat like Culver’s and some local restaurants was nice. The room with two queens was rather small for two people. We originally wanted a room with walk in shower due to mobility issues but none were available. While that was disappointing, I was happy to see that the tub was low and that there was a rail to grab onto while stepping inside to take a shower. While we were there a large group also stayed with a lot of kids who were unruly. The kids were going to some type of sports tournament and the annoying thing was they were using the hotel covered parking area where guests drive up and come inside to check in—as their playground to play catch with their balls. We saw a guest drive up and the kids did not move but continued to throw the ball back and forth which could have caused damage to the guest car or to the guest. Also the room looked like it could have used some repairs to the bathroom door which had paint chipped off the bottom. Overall the room was fine but it did feel small. When we come back to the Indy area we will be looking to stay at another hotel primarily due to service at...
