Just arrived and as you can see in the photos room 301 has a lot of issues including carpet so filthy I wouldn't even take off my shoes. A wall outlet that has caught fire. The comforter has two cigarette burns located at the top cover. A dead roach in bottom cabinet next to mini fridge. Soaked carpet next to and under the desk and chair area which you can see the darker color in the photo verses the lighter dry color. Pop stains on the wall and lighting just above the beds headboard. Microwave has chipped m&m pieces along with dust on the top of microwave door opening. A blue chair cushion was lifted to show a hair tie and some stains underneath. Bathroom fan is coming out of ceiling and there is a ring inside the tub and caulking has chipped on the outer edge. Toilet had two spots that was nasty to see. Corners of the rooms have some gaps and holes that should be fixed. It's a non smoking room but a lot of yellow smokers stains have appeared throughout the room. The window view is just okay nothing to brag about but that's to be expected being in a city. I could have easily given a 1 star review but I try to be as fair as possible. Now the two stars I gave I really would rate at a 1.5 stars overall. The saddest part was I noticed a envelope that was for a tip for the cleaners. I have no issues with tipping someone when it's deserved but in this case I found myself and a friend using Kleenex and water to clean. Also the sink under the microwave has a leak around the nozzles and base. View photos to see all the problems I found with this room. I came in to get a room, online it said it was like 70 something bucks, no problem. I ask for one of those and the girl is like “yeah we dont have any available but we a few sweets open for use for about 91$ is that okay” i was like “thats fine” she told me the was a 75$ security deposit ill get refunded when i check out, i also said that was fine. Now she rang me up and i used apple pay because she told me they took it, boom lost 162$, she said “it did not go through” so i mistakenly trusted her and said “ill just use my card then” and i got charged another 162$, i said “ma’am it charged the first time through apple pay and showed her my phones transaction history” she said “that was from just now paying for it we dont take apple pay” i was like “no ma’am i used my debit card just now, my chase says my cards been charged AND my apple pay says ive been charged as well” (it looked like she did not believe me) she looked at her computer and was like “it appears you were actually double charged ill go ahead and refund that to you, which card would you like it refunded to card A or card B?” To which i replied, “none of those cards match the last four digits on my debit card?” And she goes “okay ill just pick one, im not sure when the refund goes through but if you have any questions my manager will be here in the morning” and at that point i was dead tired from work and just said “okay” so she gave me my key and i went to bed before the next day of work, i came to return my key at about 4:30 and she just said “thanks bye” so idk whats going on in this place but be careful and watch your wallet. Let me first say that the woman who helped us was very nice, we even asked for extra coffee and Cream and even had to change our room because the toilet was not bolted down and leaking. She was very apologetic, not her fault. They are doing renovation, and updating rooms. Only thing the bed was high for me I'm short lol... extra blankets would be nice to have in the rooms. The door to the bathroom sticks and you can't close it all the way it's also warped and has holes at the top and bottom of door, also looks like it's coming apart. Just needs a new bathroom door. It was kind of loud at 7:30 where someone knocked on a room next to ours and found talking mind you we weren't up till then. And the toilets sound like jet plains. But everything in the room is new and updated. Love the hardwood floors. Extra towels and washcloths would also be a nice feature to have. Remember I'm short the Coffee pot is above the nice size mini fridge on a shelf up high I could not reach..thank goodness I have a tall husband lol.... also since the hotel is being renovated there is bed frames out in the open and razerblades on the hand rails left out. Probably should go around the hotel and check those things because that's not good. Addiquit space in bathroom to change. Love the huge spa tub. Hand rails would be nice it was hard to get in and out of the tub.
