I If I can’t reach 10 stars I would. The service that Tim and Stephanie gave was amazing. First impressions set the tone and this couple truly understand how to be hospitable. They are KIND to people and it’s been hard to find people who care about giving good quality service lately. Stephanie made us feel like we are at our Aunt’s house. At check-in my boyfriend could barely tolerate his stomach ache and Stephanie worked faster to get us checked in so he could get comfortable. She even gave him TUMS which fixed him immediately!!! There was no stores open in the cute quaint town when we arrived so that helped tremendously! She saved the night!!! She talked to us after we got settled in the lounge area. She told us all about the area as we sipped hot cocoa. The room was cute, comfy and had everything we needed. The bed to soooo nice. I wanted to call back to order the bedding for myself. Very very comfy beds, which was much needed driving down the hair-raising Hwy 1 in the fog and darkness with road kill owning the two lane road. The next day Tim greeted us by saying “you must be the soulmates in Room 1”❤️ I’ve never got a warm greeting like that at the Marriott. It was so genuine, heart warming and much needed. It solidified that people still care about being KIND. After COVID I noticed that people are over charging for the same service but providing terrible service. Tim and Stephanie proved that they care with their hospitality. It was amazing. I will definitely be back. They understand that people matter and it’s not just about making money. It was a heartfelt experience that we ran into after an unexpected pit stop and Hwy 1. We will definetly be back and I highly recommend. Thank you Tim and Stephanie for the...
Read moreTry the Bodega Bay Inn as your destination. You won’t be disappointed. |We booked two rooms, ourselves and our son’s family. One day Andy called. He noticed the rooms were in two different buildings and suggested relocating our son to the one building. Super, worked out very well.|We were in the primary building in Room #7. It has an enclosed “lockable” outdoor patio. This worked quite well for my son, who brought bicycles and a paddleboard. He could leave the items in the patio while out and about each day and overnight.|Since the Inn has a limited number of rooms in each of the buildings, it’s a nice quite place.|Our room had a walk-in shower, an extra “day-bed” for a third person if need be, a fridge/ Also it had two skylights with remote controlled shades; very nice if you don’t want the morning sun to awaken you.|The kitchen area on the main floor is a jewel. Great place to bring in breakfast or even a take-out meal and sit at real table and chairs. Great quantity of tableware and utensils; plus there is a large refrigerator in addition to the “college” fridge in the room..|Andy was at the reception desk most often over the weekend. As an amateur astronomer, he volunteered to bring in his telescope to point out objects for my granddaughter and family members. Sweet.|The location is great as there is easy drivable access to state parks, crab shacks, oyster restaurants, country-stores, etc. – all within a few minutes’ drive.|Across from the Inn, there’s a small coffee shop with a limited selection, and to our surprise, a great restaurant Terrapin Creek (a Michelin Guide...
Read moreTonight is my first of three nights here -- but I had to jump on and give a review now. My stay started out with a little hiccup - the tile floored room I was booked into smelled like the floor had just been cleaned (reasonably so). Normal people probably wouldn't have had a reaction, but, alas, I am not normal. I was quite sad, not to mention in the first stage of a crummy migraine when I went into the office to tell Stephanie, the Manager, that I felt like I was not going to be able to stay in the room and probably the busy inn. I was envisioning a 2.5 hour drive back to extremely hot Sacramento and I literally didn't even finish telling her my sob story when she handed my another key and told me to go check out a different room--which was beautiful and perfect for me to work from for the next couple of days. Stephanie may not know how impactful her kindness to me and my old dog was, but I am typing away from this lovely room, my old pup happily sleeping beside me. This room is spacious, has a king bed and also a twin daybed. The view over the courtyard from the room is nice and across the hall is a sweet little balcony. These days, kind, empathetic and empowered employees are hard to come by. I hope the Bodega Bay Inn ownership knows what a gem they have...
