Wanted to try some of taffy and salted pbcup . Was celebrating my 50+ bday. Walked inside the shop expecting the vibe to be welcoming and inviting. To my shocking disappointment the owner and his wife intentionally ignored me and my mate. Thinking to myself it was an oversight I lingered a bit longer while we looked around. I then heard not one but two Jovial greetings to two other sets of folks and a fairtheewell!

Now needless to say these folks were of a different ethnic background than me and my sweetie. I thought surely this guy is kidding! The owner and wife made it very apparent that he and I were not welcomed. Miguel asked if I was getting anything? I said looking at the male owner " no I'm good " The guy never looked up from what he was doing as if he was an extra in the movie " Bird Box" and would not look upon our faces. Weird. The wife mean mugged me as I was coming out and she was gathering the windmills from outside the shop. Welp with this newfound info, I took my green money and my Afro-American brown behind out of thier store!

I contacted my daughter and told her to leave a review of my encounter.

This establishment has the gumption and nerve to post on its site about Being Nice Too You.

Despite the owners not being there; customer service didn't take the day off. We were able to ask questions about the style of kite we purchased and we were given tips and tricks on how to avoid crashes.

It's a small shop but they have a neat yard with yard art. COVID precautions were followed and the visit was enjoyable.

Prices were actually less than some on Amazon so even though it's a small shop in a small town, you can still find a deal. Avoid super stores on the drive out and pick up a flyer while on the coast for that...

One of my favorite shops to visit on HWY 1 in Bodega Bay. The coast always has wind and they have a fantastic selection of kites, windmills in fun shapes and sizes, and other wind interactive toys.
