Read moreAbsolutely the worse vacation unit we've had... WORD TO THE WISE, ONLY RENT FROM LOCAL COMPANIES WITH PERSONAL ON SITE!!!! Most of the issues we encountered falls back to the rental company, VACASA. Completely false advertising, from the website to the papers posted in the rooms for maintenance & assistance!!!! The unit itself was beautiful (1501), with AMAZING, STUNNING views from both the front & back balconies (only reason I actually rated it.. 1.5 Stars to be exact) ... The specific unit we stayed in was a 2bd/2bth, 1501; and was missing a few things that are [usually] in vacation properties (heck even in hotels)... Number 1, the beds were full-size NOT Queens!!! There's no dressers in either of the 2 rooms nor anything to put suitcases on, they had to go on the floor& no way to keep any organization for the week. It was very bleak & not "homey/beachy" feeling at all!! Also, there's No TV in 2nd bedroom. Which is a HUGE headache when you have kids & teens....yes it's the beach, but we knew there was going to be storms and we planned to stay in the room& be lazy.... it didn't work out:/ for a few reasons! Vacasa and their housekeeping service just failed miserably! The unit was not cleaned upon arrival. They failed to leave sheets nor blankets for one of the beds, wristbands that MUST be worn on property to access amenities (¬ have your car towed). They also failed to secure maintenance, and for the 6 days we were there the AC did not work. We contacted them several times, but were constantly told "waiting to hear back from local" .... ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE!! As for the property, it was nice. They were repaving the parking lot, and set of the fire alarms to inform 3 people to move their cars or they'd be Towed. I do like the fact they have the alert system, but early morning sounding the alarms and taking a while before they started talking was NOT OK!!! We were already out the door, heading down the stairs thinking there was fire. The alert system's labeling is STRICTLY fire, it doesn't indicate or show anything else. They were just be lazy, instead of going out looking at the cars tag, getting the room #, and contacting the 3 directly; they sound the fire alarm into 150+ units. The time we were able to go out to the outdoor pool & hot tub, the hot tub was NOT hot. We spoke to others and they said the same thing, it had not been heated in quite some time. The walkway over the road being closed during Spring Break was annoying. && while its unpreventable, the tide has changed the surf/water line, and there's only a VERY small area to sit on the beach in from of the condominium. We've stayed thru Vacasa at Crystal Shores West, a few buildings down; and absolutely love it and had NO issues whatsoever with the them or the unit. Caution, word of advice, BOOK thru Young's and ask multiple questions about the amenities and if they're open and/or working...
This facility is nice but the condo was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Unit 1207. It just was filthy. No attempt to clean. We had to buy new pillows and blanket just to sleep in the bed. Sheets had to be washed first since my sheets had mascara marks on them. Pillows had stains all over them and holes in pillow cases. The stove and oven did not work as well as ice maker. Coffee pot still had coffee in it with grinds. Had to buy batteries for all the remotes. 1 remote had been dropped behind side table in bedroom which had not been cleaned forever. Toilet paper stuck to wall as well as stains all over. Tubs were full of soap scum. We were given new shower liners and we scrubbed forever to get tubs clean. Also no kitchen towels. They were brought to us. Unfortunately you can't just change rooms when renting a condo. We were stuck. Spent the first 3 hours of vacation just cleaning. But first had to go buy everything. We just would not walk in there without shoes. Not sure who does cleaning but wow...really should be above and beyond clean because of covid. Just the worst experience ever. They did offer to come and clean on Wednesday. So if we could stand filth for 3 days they would clean again. Gesh....
Read morePositive-Great location and amenities. Loved our condo for the most part. Patio furniture in picture wasn't what was there. We only had 3 chairs on the balcony and the condo was for 6 people. The furniture on back balcony was very rusted. The biggest Negative is the fact the elevators didn't work the majority of the time and from all other reviews and other people we talked to this has been going on a long time. The weekend we were there people were stuck in the elevator. Checkout time at the elevator was horrible. As long as you stay on a lower level where you can take the stairs this is an awesome place. We booked Unit 1301 through Airbnb/Turnkey realty and I WOULDN'T suggest doing that. Horrible service. Book directly through Young's if you are going to stay there. Again if the elevators worked more efficiently this could easily...
