I found it hard to know how to rate this place. I could have gone with 5 stars as well as 3, so I picked 4. Here's the deal... Let me start with reasons for 5 stars. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. The cooking area is impeccably clean (maybe the cleanest I've ever seen at a Greek restaurant like this). The food was well seasoned. The staff was very friendly. Now let me explain 3 stars. From the descriptions I had read and from seeing the menu online I "assumed" this was a sit down table service restaurant. It's not. In fact, it's hard to spot, tucked into the corner of a two-story multi-day building. You order at a counter and pick up your food at a window. They have no fountain drinks, only cans and bottles. While the gyro meat was tasty it was not hot. Hardly even warm. I paid for extra tzatziki sauce but I got very little. So I would say that if you come with the right expectations it would be great. For "Greek fast food" it was very good (just heat the gyro meat a...
Read moreI visited the restaurant yesterday and found the food to be satisfactory. However, my dining experience was overshadowed by an incident involving, whom I believe was, the owner. An awkward and uncomfortable situation unfolded when a customer, who simply requested extra gyro sauce, was met with an overly aggressive response. The customer pronounced 'Gyro' with a hard 'G' instead of a 'Y' sound, which unexpectedly triggered a loud and angry reaction from the owner.
This kind of behavior was surprising and off-putting. It's unfortunate because no matter the promotional efforts, like dancers on the road, such an incident makes me reluctant to return. I believe it's crucial for business owners, especially in hospitality, to maintain composure and treat customers with respect, regardless of minor misunderstandings. The public display of anger over a simple pronunciation error seemed disproportionate and unprofessional, negatively impacting the overall...
Read moreLet me start this by telling you i"m Greek by marriage, so i've had the cuisine from NC to Athens in Greece. That said, I was impressed with the vertical spits for cooking their meat, just like i saw in Greece. I can definitely recommend the food. I had a small gyro. I was hard pressed to finish it, so I can't imagine what a regular one would be. My daughter had stuffed peppers. She's accustomed to a version with sauce so she found these a bit dry but tasty nonetheless. We had planned to dine in, but they didn't have a kids menu, and we didn't want to order an adult portion for a 3-year old. That was a bummer, so we stopped at a fast food restaurant on the way home for chicken nuggets and fries. I wonder if they would let us bring in his nuggets and fries so that we could dine in. Next time I'm there, I want to try their pastichio. They describe it exactly the same as my Greek MIL always did,...
