Had no trouble finding the place, even at night. There is a big sign on the right hand side of the road. We called ahead and checked in over the phone because we were arriving after hours. That was very convenient! However, FINDING THE ROOM took us 45 minutes! When we arrived, we asked the security guard where we could park. He failed to say he had a guest list nor did he offer any help initially. We took the elevator to the 3rd floor and walked the entire length of the building. We didn’t find our room so we went back to the security guard and asked where room 352 was located. He said he didn’t know and told us we had to walk around the front of the building to the courtesy phone located in the parking lot because all the gates were locked. Once we got there, we saw on the wall a map of the place. There are 7 buildings total located on BOTH SIDES of the street. The map said the building was directly across the street and in the back. However, the building directly across the street is a completely different entity and is not shown on the map. After walking all over and twisting my ankle, falling and scraping my knee and elbow by stepping into an uneven area in the parking lot AND moving our car 3 different times, we FINALLY found the correct building. Once we got to our room, we had to play with the faulty lock box a couple of times to get the key out. The room was quaint and clean. I like the room and was grateful to be in it!
A few of suggestions please: Inform your guests and security guards that there are 7 buildings total which are located on BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET! Had the security guard known this information, we wouldn’t have spent 45 minutes walking up and down 3 flights of stairs multiple times looking for the room.
Inform the guest and the security guards where the rooms are located and in what building.
Fix the potholes in the parking lot! My left ankle is sprained and my right knee and right elbow are oozing blood because it is too late to find a store open to purchase first aid. I will be sleeping with a towel under me so as not to stain the sheets.
Oh, and we had to pay a $78 cleaning fee that was not mentioned anywhere in the disclosure. Found out about the next morning! Would have been nice if they compensated the inconvenience and my injuries by letting the cleaning fee slide....
Read moreThis is an ownership Condo complex managed by Castle so each condo is different. I got a good rate from Google via Castle website and called and booked over the phone directly with Castle. I had a pleasant experience booking with the agent for a "partial ocean view" 15 days before our trip. We are 2 adults and 1 6.5 yr old so on the phone we were promised a Queen bedroom with 1 sofa bed in living room.||||When we arrived, they first gave us a studio #368. This was ok for a couple. I went back to the front desk and they then gave me #367 which is a 1 bedroom apt which was what I was promised while booking. This modest apt is quite spacious for a family of 3 or even a couple with 2 kids. Adequate Amt of closet space. They call it "partial ocean view" since it is across the street but it has a great view of the ocean and we can hear the waves all day and night and has a good balcony to sit in. Across the street in the other building is beach access, a small pool and such. The beach is wonderful rocky beach with a small strip of sand. My son had fun counting crabs walking the rocks and playing in the sand.||||The condo kitchen itself is extremely well stocked with all necessary appliances like a rice cooker, crockpot, blender, coffeemaker .. People take a condo so that they can cook and the owner has made sure everything we need to cook from appliances stand point is covered. There is coin laundry behind the reception area also which is very convenient. There is no dishwasher. We were fine with it. FYI Housekeeping for towel change happens mid stay but only for guests who stay more than 7 days. If you need fresh towels and staying less than a week, there is $10 fee. We just did laundry and washed a few towels. ||||For beach time there is a kids life jacket, beach umbrella, beach chairs, 2 awesome boogie boards that we used .. ||||My only complain was that as we neared day 4 of our 5 day stay we could see small ants surfacing in the apt and the furniture was old and outdated. We were on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator and when we arrived at 10pm the bell desk was closed otherwise there is help to take your luggage up the stairs. However the condo is clean, livable, comfortable and that's all that...
