Booked 2 nights at this place while we were here for a family matter. Those two nights, we could smell the weed coming from one of the rooms through the hallways. Not only that was the problem. The first morning, me and my dad went to get breakfast. We ate inside. Then we walked out with the food that I have not finished. We went outside to the parking lot so my dad can move his car while I was standing outside making sure his car is parked straight! The next morning, my dad went to go get breakfast and was told by that same old asian lady "Lee" that he is not allowed to get breakfast because we went outside with "MY" food that I have not finished. Lee assumed my dad as one of the people from the social security line across the parking lot from the hotel coming into the hotel lobby and accused him for sneaking in to get free food from the breakfast bar because of the color of his skin!! My dad was telling Lee the truth that he's not one of those people. She didn't believe him and straight up called him a liar in front of everybody. We complained to the hotel manager. Thankfully that woman was on our side knowing that we're just hotel guests and not those random people from outside of the hotel trying to sneak free food from the breakfast area! If you're dark skinned and you're staying at this hotel, be aware of that racist lady Lee who works at the breakfast bar because she will accuse you for being one of those minorities from around the block! I want to leave this review as a one star, but I will give another star to that manager at the front desk for being...
Read moreI recently had to travel to Henderson, NV for business and the Homewood Suites was recommended to me by a co-worker. I have to say that I'm very happy I followed his suggestion! The hotel is conveniently located near the corner of Eastern Ave and Coronado Center Drive. The suites are spacious, clean and well maintained. The kitchen is equipped with your basic essentials such as plates, cups, silverware and some pots/pans. I found the beds to be comfortable and clean with some softest pillows I've ever slept on! The pool is large and beautiful and again, very well maintained. Some minor issues I had were one of the burners in my kitchen didn't work (not a huge deal) and I found that the desk and table were a bit too high to use my computer comfortably for any length of time. Either the table needed to be shorter or the desk chair needed to go higher. Again, not a huge issue at all. Lastly, the ceiling fan in the bedroom made a noticeable noise when it was on which meant I had to turn it off at night so I could sleep. These minor issues aside, I really enjoyed my stay here and I am actually looking forward to coming back with some friends soon. Oh, I should also mention that the customer service here was excellent. The young lady at the front desk was always happy to help me with finding my way around or making suggestions of where to eat and what to do. Sadly, I didn't get her name, but she was really fantastic!!! If you're heading to Vegas and don't mind staying a bit off the strip, the Homewood Suites will...
Read moreI can't speak highly enough about this place. I've never felt more comfortable away from home, especially considering I was working in Nevada for over two months. The rooms are like a 1BR apartment, with the added perks of housekeeping, breakfast, and a weekly dinner reception. The staff is absolutely amazing, and took care of my group like family. The hotel is located near pretty much anything you would need, including restaurants, groceries, gas stations, pharmacies, and a few bars. Most of it is even within walking distance, although the streets are busy, so we drove if we left the immediate surrounding block for safety's sake. The lobby eating area is always open, and our group spent lots of our free time in the evening and on weekends watching football and baseball on the large TV there, which also allowed us to get to know some of our fellow guests and the staff better.
Oh, I have one request to make of future partons: If you're part of a sports team group, control your kids or stay elsewhere. Putting up with roving unsupervised children and teens are NOT the responsibility of the hotel staff or your neighbors. Those of us that are basically living there shouldn't have to endure midnight hallway hockey and LAN parties taking over the business center. The hotel didn't seem to enjoy it either, and it seems that they're cracking down on it pretty well, so don't let the possibility deter you from staying here if your looking for a long term lodging option that's almost...
