The Beach House Las Vegas — Restaurant in Henderson

(I ordered from Grubhub during dinner time [5pm'ish] so keep this in mind per my review.)

My first order of fish and chips plus a side of potato skins was delivered to the wrong house lol but the driver corrected it bringing it to me minutes later. While I waited to hear back from the driver, I went ahead and ordered the same thing again (thinking neighbor had grabbed it already and was enjoying).

The first order - the side of potato skins were very disappointing. It tasted like it had been reheated for my order and now burnt and shriveled; yuck. The second order delivered by a different driver - the potato skins were fresher this time and were not burnt. Still a bit disappointing compared to what I am used to. I am used to bigger potatoes being used. Does the British style use smaller potatoes for theirs? with not much potato to eat?

The fish and chips in both orders looked good. The breading was a little mushy in areas. I need to try more fish n chips to compare flavor of breading. These ones were bland..like I wanted to peel off the breading and eat the fish filets with rice or something instead. Very large portions of fish inside so that was nice compared to the letdown of the portion of the potatoes.

The tartar sauce was a bit sweet to me? I can't put my finger on it if it is something else? Is this normal? I could just be used to a different recipe. I ate the fish without it after a few bites.

The coleslaw was great. It reminded me of KFC coleslaw but with a bit more pepper perhaps? Wish I got more of the coleslaw with this meal and less fries.

The fries/chips were okay - nothing special. Maybe a little heavy handed with the seasonings or they weren't mixed well enough?

One order gave me 2 packets of malt vinegar and the other separate order gave me 6 packets of ketchup haha

Overall, the meal was okay. I don't think I will reorder this in the future. I need to order elsewhere now to compare. :) I may come back to try other items on the menu...

Edit to Add: This meal reheats the next day in the oven very nicely and I may like it better reheated?! There was a nicer crunch to the fish breading after being reheated. 350 degrees around 15...

World Cup final morning! Yay, except no wifey (she's passed), and my kids were out of town. What a great event, only to be almost ruined by not bad service-- the service and servers are good, but instead, NO service! The gal who let the first five of us in, took my initial drink order (come to think of it, I never did get my coffee...) and promptly brought my properly poured pint of Guiness. I tried to order an "English" breakfast (it's just okay here, no black pudding, and unnecessary bacon and mushrooms), but the waitress said the cook wasn't there yet, and that I'd have to wait. The place quickly filled up, and not once in 110 or so minutes did any server ask if I needed anything. I was completely ignored! A family of four that I shared my table with finally left to go get something to eat and drink. A large party at a reserved table in front of me begged for menus until I finally shared mine. It was as if the servers were purposely ignoring some patrons and not the others. I think they were overwhelmed. I could have walked out after the game, but I instead purposely hunted down my server, and paid for my drink (which was discounted, thank you). The story I got was that many servers didn't show up, and would be fired for it. I don't believe it was a one-off experience because they have had this problem a couple other times, just not this bad. Their staffing is way too lean, me thinks. The owners and/or management need to anticipate better the crowd, and, perhaps have a simple breakfast bar/buffet that you sell with wrist-bands, so the servers could be freed-up to serve drinks. I won't be going there for a major event again, though. But I still will go because it is a Pittsburg Steelers bar and has a great crowd and the regulars are like family, and it is very family-friendly, and fun on Steeler Sundays after church. Also, they have THE best fisn n' chips in town (although I haven't tried every place in town that makes them.) We're counting on you to do better,...

Came here a couple hours before they were going to do the trivia night, there was a female bartender and a male bartender the female bartender was relatively friendly, but I don’t think we were in her area and the male bartender acted like he had two friends at the bar and that’s all that mattered. Whenever we were trying to get his attention, he acted like he was being bothered. As a former server, I would love to run that bar, there is so much potential. I overheard a couple other people saying the same thing.

To make matters worse we ordered fish and chips at the bar and they came out so over cooked that I had to only eat the center of the fish because the rest you couldn’t Even chew it was like fish jerky. The mail bartender took my plate away with most of the fish. All piled very high, and I didn’t even ask. “ How was your food.” I have been coming here for at least the last 10 years and I’ve gone through a couple of owners., they even had a surprise party with a band once for me, so I have history with this bar. I’m very disappointed in what they’re doing to this bar and I guess they need that trivia and karaoke’s just to keep it alive at this point because there’s no redeeming...
