Express Airport Inn — Hotel in Highland Springs

Stayed here because Power was our due ice storm. Room was pretty clean but the bathroom's tile has mold on it very bad. The heat didn't work properly. When I called the front desk to inform them about the heat, the front desk stated that I should have put the heat on low until it warmed up then turn it on high. After trying that procedure the heat still didnt work properly. I called back to the front desk the clerk said that because it was really cold outside that's probably why the room isnt getting warm. And also because the room is an outside unit. I've stayed in outside units before in the cold and the room was warm and comfortable. He also stated that I had a big room it takes a while to warm up. We'll I've stayed in bigger rooms as well the heat worked fine. I had to sleep with my coat and scarf on. The temperature only got to 62 degrees in below freezing weather. This was the nastiest most run down hotel I have ever had the misfortune to be booked at. Was told it was non smoking room, and the first one was right over a bunch of guys sitting around smoking. I had asked for a room on the ground floor to start with and when I explained I could not take the smoke due to health reasons, he came up with a ground floor room! It smelled so much of cigarettes that you could taste it ! There was even an ash tray in the room! But it was marked non smoking. The chairs in the room and the curtains on the window were nasty!
