If you are looking for a place to dine and get good service this is not the place! I googled Mexican restaurants and saw this place had a 4.5 star rating and was near me so I dared to venture in. Google said they closed at 10pm and I arrived at 9:20pm. When I arrived i noticed people wiping things down in an effort to close which is never a good sign. I had 40 minutes to order and dine so I didn't see any issue with dining in. I ordered guacamole and was told that they had already cleaned the cart so I could not have any. I was disappointed as it was only 9:25pm. I then ordered cheese dip instead which was extremely runny and pretty much flavorless. For dinner I ordered fajitas Texanas and an extra order of rice and beans and a side of sour cream. The food was decent and I finished my meal at 9:55pm. I asked for a box for the small amount of food that remained and ordered a piece of flan. The waitress told me NO we close at 9:45pm, giggled and walked off. When she came back with the box I told her that the internet says they close at 10pm and she said a NO we close at 9:45pm. At this point I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was actually very professional. I explained I had been denied guacamole and flan due to his employees wanting to leave early and if they were not going to provide proper service after 9pm then they should close earlier. Needless to say I was not happy with my experience and I will not be going back. I warn any one going there late (9pm or later) you will not get good service or be able to order from the full menu. They will only serve you what they want to serve you which in my experience was very limited as I was denied 2 of the 4 things I tried to order. Honestly the best part of this experience was their sweet tea which was amazing! It tasted like my grandmother made it! My check for 1 person was $40.42 and i couldn't even get a piece of flan! Honestly how hard is it to put a peice of flan on a plate? There is nothing to cook and it take like 2 minutes to eat! This whole experience was fairly poor and I do not recommend anyone wasting their time or hard...

My family and I were out for a celebratory dinner. Our waiter was wonderful, the food was bland at best (Guac was good), not the fall of the waiter.

However, the experience turned to terrible at the end of the night. The front of the restaurant has a display of candy, my kids got really excited and asked if they could have a piece. My husband went with them and they each selected a few pieces. (mind you these pieces are very small ie ring pop, tootsie pop) I told our waiter about it assuming I'd be charged & was, but $1/p). We later discovered that they were only $.25 apiece. So when my husband asked if he could get more candy, he was berated and screamed at by a blond waitress (I did not get her name, but this distinguished her from the other staff that night). She was incredibly aggressive and rude, I have never seen him so flustered. She actually chased him out of the restaurant screaming at him. Accusing him of stealing, where we paid $5 total for 5 small candies! (Of note, I had casually observed her being rude to other patrons earlier in the night.)

We called to report this to the manager, his response at best was bland apathy. Absolutely terrible customer service at a subpar restaurant. We will not be back and she should really consider a...

Underwhelming food. I live in California so maybe my bar is a little high but the food was not of quality. The service matches the subpar food. Ramon was my server came in around 3 and was seated. I waited and had to flag down the host for water refill as Ramon seemed busy tending to the 2 tables in the restaurant. When my water was brought back I asked the host to ask him for my receipt as I wasn’t getting tended to so I wanted to pay for my food . He assured me and as he was assuring me Ramon came up and agreed as he told him in front of me. After about ten minutes I walked up to the manager and expressed I didn’t get my check and had told 2 people 2 times. I explained I used to be a server therefore I am very understanding however the service was unacceptable. Very dismissive he kept assuring me it wasn’t like him and never apologized for the service I received instead he kept challenging my events even noting Ramon told him I was on the phone so he didn’t check on me. Instead of just apologizing for my experience the manager indirectly invalidated my experience as well as the chain of events . If you are looking for authentic Mexican cuisine u will be disappointed. It is mediocre at...

After getting burnt food time and time again from el Nopal I decided to give Mexico a chance. Don’t get me wrong I love El Nopal but the consistency of food portion, flavor, and getting my order right is at a solid ratio of 3 to 10. Upon entering Mexico you are treated and greeted with A smile and very happy staff. The bartenders while you wait encourage you to buy a discounted drink. The servers are well vetted. The girls are nice to look at for the most part. The drinks are strong and service is fast. the food portions are HUGE and if you get anything messy the provide tings to keep you from chasing your jumbo shrimps off the plate. The CONS: Seating is uncomfortably hard and this place doesn’t encourage you to stay and have a romantic insta date. Happy hour drinks are limited and the food is seasoned very lightly making you want to grab the salsa verde almost every time. Have a few $3 cocktails more than likely you will sell more. $9 drinks are not always in my budget. I’ll by a 6oz Bahama Mama for $3 maybe twice times the number of people that are with me.

Another local gem we've treasured for many years and visit at least once, sometimes twice a month. You've probably seen me in there. I'm the guy that always has the Corona in his hand and Salsa in his beard. It's tough not to make a routine out of a restaurant that has persistently proven an aptitude for exceptional service, atmosphere, and eats. An ideal option for those feeling particularly peckish, as not only is no time wasted bringing out actual orders, but the complimentary Chips and Salsa guarantee you'll be feeding your belly as soon as you're seated. I've developed numerous favorites, making it impossible to recommend just one dish. If you're here for the spice your best bet would be the Pollo Chipotle. For incredible flavor I'd have to recommend the Fajitas Texana, which features the perfect trio of Chicken, Steak and Shrimp. Moreover, nothing beats the smell and SOUND of that sizzle when it comes out.

Honestly some of the worst taco ive ever had. First I ordered steak tacos and there was a random piece of chicken on top of the tacos (as you can see in the photos) they had absolutely not flavor at all i felt like i was eating just boiled steak. They also didnt come in a container, just wrap in aluminum foil, the meat and veggies all spilled out of the tortillas as u can see in the photo, just a big mess of meat and onions in there. I would understand that they would service the tacos in aluminum foil if it was one of those small hole on the wall mexican restaurant. But this is an actual nice looking restaurant with nice outdoor sitting etc... come on ppl! This is not a taco truck, please do better Just horrible. After a super long day of traveling for work, couldn't even enjoy a nice dinner
