My husband and I went to Mattress Firm Hillsborough to try different types of Stearns and Foster mattresses. Since this would be an expensive purchase we had agreed that we were just "going to look" and hadn't made any decision to purchase, and wouldn't be rushed into a purchase.
We were greeted by Shazia, who was pleasant, courteous, and very informative about the different features of the mattresses and adjustable bases that we were considering.
Even more importantly, she gave us time to experience the mattresses without hovering around and trying to persuade us to come to any decision. But she was completely attentive to our needs and ready to answer all questions.
To our surprise we felt ready to make a choice within about an hour, and we are even more thrilled that our new bed will arrive in just a few days.
Shazia is a very professional salesperson, who explained all of the terms of the agreement carefully, including assuring us that we have 120 days to review our new mattress. This policy of Mattress Firm gave us great confidence to make our decision, even though we hope we will be very happy with the choice we have made.
I would recommend Shazia, and this store to anyone looking for a superior experience in buying a mattress, and we were very happy with the Black Friday...
Read moreEDIT: Buyer Beware! Read the terms of the 120 day trial very carefully!! The exchange they advertise within this time period is not really an exchange, but a return. Here is why: You are getting a credit of the original purchase price minus the fees towards the purchase of another mattress. Not exchanging it, you are returning and buying another mattress. The mattress I bought was $3000 on sale and costs $3300 now. Tempurpedic only charges a flat fee for the exchange and if you pick the same model, but different firmness, no other costs involved.
Is this store stuck in the 1920s? Called (after Mattressfirm said they cannot touch a store order, which is another story altogether) to initiate an exchange within the 120 day trial and person answering the call had to call me back because my order is in the 'archives" and he had to "find it". After he called back, I was told I have to go to the store to make sure I was the right person and I quote: "anyone can call in with the info". After a quick back and forth, was told again I had to go to the store as they cannot take payment info over the phone. How can you not handle this over the phone or sit down for this one... online? Not sure what the hell is going on, but will not purchase anything from MF again much less...
Read moreMy Mattress Firm experience is finally over. We got 3 mattress, 3 bases, covers, and pillows. 72 months at 0% you really can't beat that. I was encouraged to buy do to their 100 day exchange policy. After about 30 nights on the plush memory foam mattress I purchased it quickly began losing all support for my back (maybe my fault shouldn't have gone with the plush) anyways... I spoke to our salesman Anthony and he easily put the exchange through. There were a couple hiccups with the delivery truck, but that seemed to be out of Anthony's control. He did his best to resolve any issues with the delivery of the replacement mattress and the hiccups are resolved. MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR MATTRESS FULLY PROTECTED AT ALL TIMES IF YOU THINK YOU MAY USE THE 100 DAY EXCHANGE OFFER. The one set of delivery guys who came for the original mattress inspected it side to side, up and down more then once. They took a picture of a speck and refused an exchange. Anthony absolutely took care of this issue as he saw the pictures I took of the mattress that had no imperfections on it and was always covered. I received my exchange 2 days later with no problems.
