Okay, real talk—I didn’t exactly choose to go to the Moana Luau. Some of my family members had “attend a luau” high on their Hawaii bucket list, so I got voluntold. Was it fun? Kinda. Was it touristy? Yes. If you’re into big, polished performances and checking things off your “things to do in Hawaii” list, this might be right up your alley. For me, the show felt a little commercial—like they knew people were here for the Instagram moment. That said, the dancers were actually amazing. Super talented. The vibe just wasn’t totally for me, and that’s okay. Now, onto the real MVP of the night, THE FOOD: Farm-to-table goodness. I’m not exaggerating when I say this was some of the best food I had on the whole trip. I would 100% come back just for the meal (and drinks). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Honestly, scroll through the photos because words don’t do it justice. We did the Moana Classic Luau Package, which came with: • A cute shell lei greeting (could be a souvenir gift) • One drink (solid start) • Cultural activities (think: quick, kid-friendly stations—fun to try but nothing mind-blowing) The Classic Package was just right for us. Any more upgrades and I’m not sure it would’ve been worth it. All in all, I’m glad I went for the food and the excuse to dress up with the fam. But if I had it my way, I’d rather grab poke from a food truck and watch the sunset on the beach. If you’re a first-time visitor and want the full “Hawaiian vacation checklist” experience, sure—go for it. Just come hungry and with open expectations.

Don’t come here !! This is not like videos or pictures there is no nice view just a stage , even we pay the most expensive celebrity tickets in 200 per person we were super far away and you canot see nothing the space it’s super small for all the amount of people , also the stage it’s super small ! The food was cold and not good and they give it to you in a plastic to go box not even in plates like the pictures , you have to do a line of 20 minutes or more to get a drink or buffet because everything it’s super small and there was like 100 people for just two bar tender, Also there was no activities like in other luaus they just put 1 table with stamps to do “tatoo” and other table just with flowers and also you have to do a line of 20 minutes for nothing, we were thinking mabey the show it’s going to be good but no ! avoid this place and go to a better luau .

I’m sorry that this wasn’t what I expected it to be . Not authentic in anyway clearly this is just a money pit for tourists. The show was not engaging or entertaining. The most important part of a luau I would expect to be was the food and if I could give it zero stars I would everything on this plate was cold. The servers literally brought out a new pan of the fish and that was cold so my assumption is it was literally just sitting out, no warmers keep the food warm. The drinks were watered down, they offered two drink tickets with the slash package and to upgrade to any other beverage was between 5-20 dollars. The seating was cramped. I’m just sharing my experience so hopefully someone would rethink and save their money running in at over 150$ I would hope to get warm tasty food.

Overall a far more frustrating experience than an enjoyable one. Per the email, the stated traveling time from Waikiki was 15 minutes for the 5:30pm luau. Though we planned to arrive at 4:45 for check in, it took us 55 minutes to drive from Waikiki to the Aloha Tower and the valet was full, so we needed to park in a secondary lot farther down for $10 (instead of paying the $10 for the convenience of the valet). When we arrived, there was a great deal of confusion by patrons regarding which line to check in through, due to the poorly marked signage and no staff communication. Check-in took another 25 minutes, for seemingly no reason. We paid extra for the “celebrity package” and picked up our Mai tai, blue tickets for the souvenir, and drink vouchers (advertised as being for 2 drinks per ticket with no stated restrictions). Since we ended up arriving to our table later than anticipated, we were unable to participate in the activities that were advertised (headband weaving, lei making, photo opportunities, etc.) - since they were shut down by the time we received our food. Our meal trays were brought to our table as part the “celebrity package” but were incomplete and did not contain items our table mates received. We also only received one dessert though we were two people who purchased two tickets. The drink vouchers ended up being only valid for the bottom tier drinks, valued at $8/piece, which was not stipulated when purchasing the tickets (and the cocktails were $18 each). The souvenir “choice” was only between two pins- which was fine as I didn’t expect we would have a choice until we were handed the blue tickets.

The one saving grace of the experience was the performers, who did an amazing job and were very professional and entertaining. It’s a shame they worked so hard for their work to be overshadowed by such poor organization on the company’s part.

During the performance, the MC did state that there was a person to see for parking validation in the Aloha Tower. However, when the performance was over, that person was no longer there and we ended up paying $21 for parking in the farther lot.

In short, though the show was enjoyable to watch, I would not recommend this experience, especially for the extra money for the...

I got married and decided to take my family and friends to this Luau. I spoke with the coordinator and booked the celebrity seating. I asked about the Luau and he told me that they no longer give the aquarium tickets because they have improved their quality of food Buffet style farm to table. I was looking forward to the Buffet. When we arrived, they gave me one ticket to supply all the drinks for a party of 16. It was quite annoying to have each person separately order a drink And had to have my husband stand at the bar while each person had to order their drink because they didn’t give us each drink tickets. They also pushed everyone to order the pineapple drink, which they did not notify that it wasn’t included in the two drinks. It was an extra cost so the party only was able to get one drink ticket because the price of the pineapple drink was $30 where the other cocktail drinks were only eight dollars. Then the food came around in to go containers. There was no Buffet. Everything was stuffed into the to go container in plastic little cups. No one knew what food it was and it was all cold half my party didn’t even touch the food because the presentation was so disgusting and the food was cold. The performance was entertaining however, it was very showy, and it didn’t seem like a traditional Luau. I have been to one before in Kona and it was a lot different. There was a beautiful Buffet, Everyone got separate drink tickets, and no one was trying to push sales on anybody. The show was beautiful and not too flashy.

Anyways, I don’t write bad reviews, but I was extremely disappointed because I spent thousands of dollars on this beautiful farm to table Buffet and two drink ticket Luau to feed my family after my wedding, and was very disappointed with how they went about presenting the Luau. No one was able to order more than one drink because the drink ticket ran out of money, and everyone was hungry when we left. Before choosing this luau, I would recommend looking around at other places that are more close to the ocean with a view and guarantees better...

Attended this luau with my family. There are limited self parking spots, and then some valet parking too. Instructions said arrive 4:45pm so we did, but we were not let in. Had to sit outside and wait for 30 minutes until they let us in. That's a lot of wasted time and we were simply bored. The food overall is good, but I didn't hear the announcement for food because we were learning how to weave. By the time we got there, we stood in line and got our food but they cleaned up before we had a chance for seconds. The food tasted good though, especially the pork and chicken and the desserts! The free 2 drink tickets are set for what you can get. Everything else is an upsell, so be prepared to pay a lot more for alcoholic drinks. But the free kids drinks were good. The show itself was really good, except that they built the stage too low, and it was very difficult to see no matter what grade or type of seating you had. That is very poor planning on the company's behalf. I assumed there would be seating with different height levels, but everyone was blocking everyone's view basically. If you go for the food, it was good. If you go to see the show, the performers are excellent, but the view and layout sucks. You can see from my pictures how everyone's heads blocked the show. Only the first person in the first table row would have a good view. Even if you upgrade to a closer seat, same blocked view. People were also constantly walking through the isles, which interrupted the view non stop. So while the performers were amazing, poor planning on the company's layout. I'd recommend seeing the luaua at the Polynesian Cultural Centre instead. That show has levels of seating so even if you are at the very back in the cheapest seats, you still get an unobstructed view. We still enjoyed the show, but we couldn't see half of it. I won't give a low review because the dancers and food was good, but I wouldn't...
