Honestly... I really love this hotel. I book directly on their website for cheaper pricing, comes with reserved parking, the housekeeping staff is super friendly, the front desk staff are nothing but nice and make sure everything is set up properly. The rooms we've gotten have both been mountain view and harbor view for the times that we have been here. And the location is great because it's close to central areas, it's close to waikiki and the mall, and there are also convenient bus route locations as well. And well shopping locations are conveniently close by as well. But the part I love most is that it's such a nice secured spot and it's quiet. 10/10 I would come back here again for vacation, for business, for just about any reason. It makes me sad every time we have to check out and leave. But we know that we will always come back and well... seeing that it's also a condominium... we have a set plan in mind to come live here instead one day. When? We're not sure yet. But one day, it'll be our dream come true once we clear out all the situations we're currently going through. For now. This will just be another home away from home for us other than one other hotel we frequent as well, for our vacation stays and such. Mahalo to the GM for a complimentary upgrade for my birthday as well. We will definitely be back again for a future stay. ((Atleast until we can cement our future plans and come permanently be a tenant of this beautiful building, but until then... this is the place to be if you enjoy it like me. ))

In the heart of Honolulu and close to everything you'll need. This building is a combination hotel, business offices, and condo owners. There's a kitchenette, no stove. We were on the 36th floor, Oceanview. The room was spacious, the views are spectacular. On the downside, the room was very dated. Our bed had chunks of what looked to be hard, dried soap at our feet which was uncomfortable until the maid changed sheets and removed the problem. Upon removing the sheets, I saw that the bottom sheet was blood stained - gross! Shame on the maid servicing that room. The maid who changed the bedding was a temp maid, not the regular one. She made sure the room was thoroughly cleaned and the bedding was done properly. After that, we had no maid service the rest of the week; we had no faith in the regular maid. There is no fitness room, no business center, and the restaurant oddly is not open on the weekends. There is an unbelievable amount of homeless around the hotel and on Honolulu in general. Some areas look like tent cities. Some areas smell like urine. Honolulu isn't as crowded as Waikiki but has all the shops and restaurants close by. The best thing about this hotel was the view. Everything else was just ok.

Absolutely horrendous experience. We booked this room thinking that we would lounge around a bit around the pool during our downtime just to find out that the pool was closed due to maintenance. Our room was dirty and super old. The carpet was peeling up at the corners and bubbling in the middle. The wallpaper on the wall was peeling at the seams and in the corners and there were cobwebs in the corners. Every time the air conditioner would kick on it would wake us up because of the rattling of the fan. We had to take cold showers because the water heater was being worked on. The hallways off the elevator looked like you were walking into a horror film with lights flickering. if we were not exhausted from our travel, we would've absolutely went somewhere else for the night. Our room was straight out of the 1990s with likely the original furniture and wallpaper and carpet. The pictures on the website are completely misleading. Not sure where the folks stayed that left good reviews…

I cannot understate that this is not what it appears. It is a 2.5~ star hotel in what should be a 4-star building and a 5-star location. The building is mostly condos with some converted to "Hotel Rooms". Those rooms are dated and... strange. They feel cheap with what feels like second-hand off-the-side-of-the-road furniture and linoleum flooring. The A/C feels sketchy in setup and the "jacuzzi" bathtub seems to have gone out of action in the '00s and just ignored since. The tub itself seemed clean, but I never ventured to try a soak--showers only.

The bed was terrible. Despite only staying two days, it destroyed my back and shoulders for a week. I can't imagine what it would be like for someone older. the covering was basically sheets and maybe a thin blanket somewhere in there. I have seen better bedding coverage in some Super 8s on the mainland.

Now that that warning is out of the way, the pros. The view is honestly incredible. It kind of made me sad because it was beyond amazing to look out over Honolulu's Chinatown at night from floor 30-something, but I was doing it from such a letdown of a space. Honestly, if you have a strong back and plan to spend the day just staring out the window, you could, in fact, do worse.

This place is a terrific location. People complained about the "terrifying" homeless, but whither by municipal cruelty or luck they were absent for the most part (if they were present in the first place; Oahu seems to have the mainland attitude towards the homeless-- no aloha). There was fantastic food within a 10 minute walk and places to sightsee literally just blocks away in every direction.

The service was wonderful. Despite the dated dinginess of the room, I never had a problem with the staff and have honestly had worst experiences at actual 4-star hotels. The front desk was curious, kind and had such good energy. Stunning--in that regard at least. Again, too bad that wonderful staff is wasted on such a sad room experience.

In short, this place is a great building design in a wonderful location with a great staff but with a room experience best described as a sham. For the price not bad, but I honestly wish I had stayed elsewhere. It felt like a cash-grab to get tourist dollars as cheaply as possible. As a Kama'aina, honestly there are probably better places for you as a tourist to spend your time, but if you are on a budget, honestly I...

Stayed here last week with my wife and chose this hotel because it was closer to the capitol and the palace. In theory it sounded good but was a big mistake. The area around the hotel (and I understand that this is out of their control) was not tourist friendly. Lots of homeless wandering around, people sleeping on sidewalks, abandoned looking buildings (the longs drugs at the bottom of the hotel was shuttered), and generally did not look safe. The hotel itself does not have a restaurant or room service, so you will be forced to look around the hotel, which is fine unless you want to eat after 3pm (most of the restaurants close after this time). Now for the hotel itself. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, but they could only do so much. There is no fitness center at this hotel (a first for us since even the holiday inn has a basic setup) but they can sell you a one use pass for the 24 hour fitness nearby for $12. The view in the room was great, but the room itself was dated. No comforter on the bed, and room service only comes by after 4 days of your stay. You can request housekeeping or more towels, but we never actually tried this. The tub had jets but as others had mentioned, the nozzles were black and quite dirty. In our room the caulking at the base of the tub was not present, leaving a nice gap between the tile and the tub that looked unsettling when walking around with bare feet. The carpet was well worn and the wallpaper was peeling in several places. The a/c diffuser was placed on top of the door to the bedroom and ended up blowing directly on us as we tried to sleep, which was annoying. It was nice that the rooms have a kitchenette with utensils, mugs, etc. That actually came in handy a couple of times. We did like the fact that there was a small table in the bedroom as well as the kitchen area and a loveseat as well. Lots of room, but everything was just so old and worn down. Overall, i think the hotel could be great if they just renovated the rooms. I feel like this would have been an awesome hotel like...

The Aston at the Executive Centre Hotel is located in the middle of a busy downtown Honolulu area. The room that I rented (2110) was a one bedroom kitchenette with a living room area with a early 90s feel and some 2010 upgrades including free Wi-Fi! As you walk into the room you pass the kitchenette that contains a full stove, refrigerator freezer, coffee maker, microwave, dish washer and sink with a full complement of utensils. Separating the kitchenette and living room is a counter bar that runs the length of the living room with the room phone and barstools on the living room side. In the living room there is a huge wooden desk with an Internet jack, lamp and outlets nearby. Behind that, facing the opposite direction is a black leather couch with 2 throw pillows and wooden coffee table. That faces the flat-screen LED television with Time Warner HD quality cable provided. 2 side tables are located under the television. The wall opposite the kitchenette is made of glass and acts as a floor to ceiling tinted window. Drapes are provided that allows one to "black out" the living room. The bathroom comes with a circular toilet, sink and a jacuzzi bathtub with shower. Next to the bathroom is a closet that houses the stacked washer and dryer. The bedroom comes with a full sized closet, Queen sized sleigh bed, 2 bedstands, 2 lamps, a dresser, a closet and a flatscreen LED TV. The window wall continues along the far wall and wraps around the room. Blackout Drapes are also provided. It is a large suite for one person. Very roomy. Parking is done in an attached parking structure and almost all stalls are reserved. Temporarily park in a non reserved stall and one will be assigned to you upon check in. THERE IS NO VALET PARKING. It is all self parking. The is a 7-11 located in the same building right outside of the lobby. As well as a Verizon store, ROSS dress for less and a Longs Drugs. Also located on the same block is Walmart, McDonald's and 24 Hour Fitness that offers a discount to...
