Target — Local services in Hoover

Went into Target at The Grove in Hoover the afternoon of Superbowl Sunday to pick up a tray I ordered and a few other things. When I went to ring it up at self checkout on the grocery side of the store, I noticed the deli had overpriced the item almost 10 dollars. Needing assistance to take the item off my order and change it to the correct price, I looked around for the employee who was supposed to be working at the self checkout. She was nowhere to be found. I noticed another lady who had trouble at the register next to me also looking around for someone to help her. After noticing the employee who was supposed to be at the self checkout registers over by the entrance doors engaging in conversation instead of helping customers, I went over to her, asked if she was working self checkout and if she could please help us. She said yes, I’ll be right there. As I was walking away, I hear the other ladies tell the employee, “That was bold. You’re in no hurry” and start laughing. When the employee finally reached the self checkout I let her know that the lady at the other register also needed help and was before me. The employee snapped at me and said, “You see me coming! I’m moving as fast as I can!” At that point I was ready to leave my stuff, walk out and shop somewhere else. But I continued with my purchase and left very disappointed with the service I received. Asking an employee to do the job the are being paid for at the register they are assigned to is not “being bold”. Letting an employee know that a woman who was before me also needed help has nothing to do with an employees speed. If you don’t know how to professionally treat customers then maybe you should not work in retail. Dear Target, we always get excellent service at the Homewood Target store, Homewood, Alabama, every single visit to this store is amazing for us. The following employees are always so very nice and professional, but I've fallen behind on complimenting them, so I'm doing that now. Note! Please pardon me if I mention someone's name more than once, or, Heaven forbid, if I leave off someone's name, as everyone has been amazing at the Homewood Target for us. Eric, May, Ashley, Courtney (a male manager named 'Courtney' has moved to the Alabaster, Alabama, Target, but we miss him and wish him well since he's terrific too), Mark, Nashawn, Kristen, Cory, John, Nashawn, Anthony, Clyde, Russell, Brett, E.J., William, Lisa Watson, Katrina, Carter, Cory, Johnetta, Rochelle, Sheronah, Zuri, Temeesha (correct spelling?), Landon, Josette, Justin, Gary, Lisa Watson, Evan, Rochelle, Sandra, Mae, Josette, Dominique, Castiel, Mike, Castiel, Lisa, Josette, Corey (guard), Mae (there are two Mae's), Eric, Christen, Carrie, Virginia, Jai, Morgan, Landon, Mike, Katrina, Chelsea, and I know there are some young ladies and a couple of middle-aged ladies whose' names I am forgetting to mention. But believe me, we enjoy the excellent service we always get at the Homewood Target store, at Brookwood Village, Homewood, Alabama, USA. Also, at the pharmacy, Elizabeth, Larry, Ashley, and Alyssa are always so nice to us and they always have our prescriptions ready when promised.the others are always so nice and professional at the in-store pharmacy too. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TARGET I HAVE EVER SEEN. My husband works for the company so we've been to many locations in GA and AL. This is the #1 Target store I have ever seen. This trip was for groceries. The grocery section, specifically produce, was glorious!!! This says alot, from the employment side of Target, we've noticed that the grocery department tends to be the side of the store that isnt the best. However this definitely isnt the case here! Fully stocked, so many choices, great quality and so clean! I can't say anything bad about any of the visits I've had at this location. I drive 20-30 minutes just to go to this Target instead of the 3 that are actually closer to where we live because it's so great. I've done 1 opu (online pick up) order here so far and it was great too. They didn't short pick any items or sub them, it was on time (within the 2 hour window) and delivered to my car quickly.
