Economy Inn — Hotel in Houma

I wish you could pick 0 stars bc if I could I would. With no other vacancys bc of the storm my husband and I decided to rent here for anniversary just to get away for a few days. I didnt have high expectations to begin with but this is by far the worse place I have ever been too. We walked in our room and went straight the the DG next door and bought cleaning supplies and blankets. Thankfully we brought pillows. There were roach legs under the dirty sheets. The bathroom had to be scrubbed too bc it was nasty. The microwave actually scared me!! Why didn't we complain r leave? BC the people are rude!! And no telling what we would have been told anyhow. We almost just left and let them keep the money. I wouldnt advise anyone to stay there at any time. I'm hoping we sprayed enough lysol not to get sick!!!!! I highly DO NOT reccomend this place. We left at like 5AM.. bc we couldnt wait to get...

I would like to say thank you to Jack the Manager for taking care of this Disabled Veteran. Jack gave me a discount and allowed me to check out late at 11 AM. Jack advised me all rooms have been recently renovated. My room was very nice and clean. Lots of room and everything worked just fine. Know that everyone has to put a 5 dollar deposit for room key which you get back at checkout. Lots of hotels/motels require that and more these days all over the Nation. This location sits off the road and is quiet. Prices are fair considering the high prices for other hotels in the area. I look forward to making this my new motel to stay at for work. The place seems like a crack dive. I only spent a minute there to see a room before I rented. It was very obvious from the get go that this was not a place I wanted to be. You couldn't even get the clerk at the desk. Instead there was a sign instructing customers to go to room 106. At room 106 I found the lady, ghetto AF, laid up on the bed talking very loudly on the phone. She made me wait while she finished her call about some kid in her yard who sassed her a few days ago. Once she made it clear to the other person that she was not about to take that from a kid she finally hung up and turned her attention to me asking rudely,...
