UPDATE: Peppers Corporate contacted me with an apology & a refund. I have changed my 1 star to 3 since they've made an effort to correct the situation. In 3 months, I will order a pizza from them to see if the staff have been corrected. If all goes well, I'll gladly go from 3 to 5 stars. Thank you to Corporate for responding and doing the right thing.
We tried to eat from here 3 times. The first time, we ordered a pizza with extra sauce. Brought it home & it had almost no sauce. We were disappointed but we ate it anyway. Thought it was a simple mistake. Decided to order takeout again. This time it was 1 pizza, 1 philly sandwich, and 1 salad. We arrived at pickup time & our food wasn't ready yet. After a few mins, it all came out. We decided to check the pizza before we left (cuz of the mistake last time) & discovered they put pork on it. We told them their mistake & they said for us to go sit by the bar while they remade it. After about 30mins, we asked where the pizza was & they acted confused. They went in back & said it was coming out of the oven & would be out in a few minutes. We said OK. By then our sandwich was ice cold, soggy, & gross, so we asked them for a new one as well. They said yes. Cool, right? Nope. 15 minutes later, they bring out the new sandwich & the 'new' pizza. IT WAS THE EXACT SAME MISTAKE PIZZA WITH THE PORK ON IT, AND IT WAS COLD. We told them it was the same one.... they acted like they had no idea how it happened. The bartender was even annoyed by the mistakes & felt bad for us, so she gave my gf a few free jello shots. Then we had to wait ANOTHER 30 mins for their 3rd attempt at the correct pizza, as the sandwich got cold, soggy, and nasty all over again. Got home to finally eat it, and there was basically no sauce on it. Wtf? You'd have thought we had learned our lesson, but no. We are stupid. We ordered takeout for the 3rd and final time. This time, no pizza. Just a few orders of chicken strips & fries. My gf went to pick it up. Guess what? She was told the fries would be ready in 5 minutes. 35 MINUTES LATER (after she asked about them every 10mins) they came out. We live 2 mins away, & when she got home, obviously the chicken strips were cold and mushy. The breading was so nasty and slimy with chunks. They were disgusting. Even my obese cat wouldn't eat them, & she legit eats everything. To top it off, the staff never apologized or offered us any form of compensation. We have wasted a ton of money at Peppers and will absolutely never go back. We also will never recommend them to anyone. When anyone asks us how it is, we tell them our experiences & then send them elsewhere. Id rather eat a 2 day old pizza from Little Ceasars that sat in a ditch than ever give a dime to...
Read moreI love Peppers. It is my go-to pizza in Houma. But my experience tonight was very different, borderline insulting. I ordered my usual triple pepperoni pizza - hand-tossed with light sauce and extra cheese. What arrived at my table was indeed triple pepperoni pizza ... but dripping in grease, very little cheese, and crispy thin crust. I understand even the best restaurants miss from time to time, so I was willing to give Peppers a pass. Their track record was too good. So I called over a manager to let him know my pizza came out wrong. After repeating my order to him, he replied in a matter-of-fact tone that I should expect greasy pizza with triple pepperoni and that what was on my pizza was indeed extra cheese. He surrendered that it was actually thin crust. And, seemingly for that reason alone, he was willing to replace it with a new pizza. BUT he recommended that I change the order to regular pepperoni (to avoid extra grease) and go with double cheese (maybe to make it seem like cheese is actually on the pizza). What he brought back to me came across as a mockery, like a sarcastic response to my request to make my pizza right. Pizza No. 2 was now hand-tossed but drowning in sauce and blanketed with a thick layer of cheese, burying the pepperoni. It came across as the equivalent to, "You want extra cheese? Eat this!"
Maybe I am over-thinking this experience, but I have enjoyed Peppers way too many times to know this is not even close to their standard. Attached are photos of the pizzas described, including a side-by-side. You be the judge.
Hopefully my next trip to Peppers will reunite me with the pizza...
Read moreI took a step outside to catch some air after playing games and when I came back inside one of the employees threw away my pizza. And I only ate only ate one slice from it. The girl told me oh we just threw it away it’s still good. Like no I’m not digging in the trash for a pizza that should of never been thrown away and is already tumbled and toss around together. I didn’t have time to talk to a manager about getting a refund because my Lyft driver was already outside. But I can show you the receipts of my purchase. My whole meal with tip came out too $81 with the tip Included plus $40 for playing games. We stayed there till 8:40 pm. I’m just upset because that was food I could of brought to work the next day. And forgive me but they could of waited a bit I was not outside long enough for them to throw it out. $131 just to get annoyed at the end of the night. Would it have been better if I left my phone Or debit card on top of the pizza so they wouldn’t have thrown it out. I know they wanted to close up but really. And it’s not their money so they probably don’t care but everyone works hard for their money to buy...
