CARNIVAL EATZ — Restaurant in Houston

I stopped by to see what ALLLLLL the hype was about with this new Houston spot everyone has been raving about. Tucked away in the southern corner deep in the shopping center is a perfect gem. Walking into this restaurant was a taste of H-Town before even touching the food. The essence of the place is STRAIGHT H-Town!! Bun B and Mattress Mac on a huge mural situated on the wall brings life and light. Then the arrangement of the tables and chairs is a perfect setting for great networking and connecting. When it was time to order we were greeted by a cute young lady with a beautiful smile on her face. She was patient and Pleasent. I ordered a stuffed Turkey Leg, Plain Turkey Leg, Sausage on a stick and a bag of lays. The best part of the payment was I literally scanned the QR code affront the register and pay using CashApp. Wowwwwww!!! My Dad and I took a seat next to two ladies who were having lunch and we ended up getting to know them for a few good minutes while we were waiting. The owners Mr and Mrs Richard’s were AMAZING!! They came out and showed so much love!! Once the food was ready we snapped a few pictures and took it home. I literally drove 45 minutes to drop my Dad off at his house then another 30 minutes to my house. As I got situated after praying over my food I opened the wrapping on my Turkey leg and guess what I saw…… Steam!! The food was still hot and very plentiful. I took the first bite, then another and another and another. I just couldn’t stop busting that leg open!! I called my Dad and woke him up because he said he’d dozed off after eating his. so saturday night around 9ish i went there upon arrival i seen a gentleman moving equipment as if they were closing mind you the closing time said 12 so anyways I proceed to walk in and the staff looked at me like i was crazy I wanna say like 6 people … just rude no hello how may I help you nothing I guess they had a attitude because a customer walked in idk if they were trying to get off early but I looked at the closing time before I drove there that’s common sense so of course I was confused pulling up seeing that .So the gentleman asked me what I wanted and I told him a Turkey leg & a funnel cake he walked to the back to prepare or pack the meal . As he does that I walk to the front and some lady comes from the back and ask what did I order to ring me up .I told her and she said you want a funnel cake or funnel cake fries I said a funnel cake she then says with a attitude we’re not serving whole funnel cakes right now … So why didn’t he mention that before he walked off the whole experience was just bad & people wonder why nobody likes to support black business well maybe not all but the energy & customer service was bad I wasn’t satisfied and wouldn’t recommend this one . Lock the doors if you don’t want to welcome in or take on anymore customers because that overall experience was terrible. i get everybody wanna get off but I didn’t do nothing to y’all at all it was sad tbh . I’m not sure if I visited on a bad day but I ordered lemon pepper chicken wings and Mexican corn on the side . I was told it’s going to take about 15 mins because everything is made to order . That wasn’t a problem I actually loved that . Shortly after 20 mins go by no food . It took about 32 mins to cook . I was late getting back to work to be disappointed :( the food was hot ( good thing ) but the wings were so greasy where every bite was nothing but grease pouring out of the chicken . I couldn’t finish them . The mexican corn tasted like the corn was soaked in water over night giving the corn a watery soggy taste . The flavor on top was not good .
