Super Nova Furniture:
Representatives are friendly, like any sales person. But once they run your information for financing, and see you can get more than what you want to buy, they will be pushy and try to get you to buy more under Okinus Financial Contract.
But before they go over the Okinus Contract, they have you sign a Purchase Order, which indicates No Refund. Just like they wanted me to do a review on Super Nova before I even got out the store or received the product.
Now here is about the Mattress and Box Spring I purchased, Poor Quality
Super Nova Representatives pushed a House Brand Mattress and Box Spring, a brand I never heard of. So I gave it a chance. But when I went to pick it up from the warehouse, I see why Super Nova has customers sign a Purchase Order, before going over the Okinus Contract or receiving the product by Delivery or Pick-Up. Super Nova has you sign a No-Refund Purchase Order, because the product is cheap and poor quality.
How do you call Queen Top Pillow Mattress quality, when one warehouse person was carrying it to my truck. That is correct, one man was carrying this Pillow Top Queen Size Mattress to my truck. No dolly, no forklift; on his back. That let me know why they do No Refund. That also let me know why, Super Nova Representative wanted me to complete a Google Review before I left the store, but I said Noooooo.
Photo attach shows the purchase order they have you sign before going over any contract. So if you are financing, Beware of Warning!!!
I Do Not Recommend Okinus:
Reason 1 - While the furniture company get you approved for the item you are purchasing, the Okinus Company Falsely Charges 2 Processing Fees.
On the first page, Okinus Labels my $32.42 Processing Fee as a Total Initial Payment. But on the Second Page of the contract in Paragraph 5 (Other Charges), Okinus Labels the $32.42 as a Processing Fee.
But if you look on the first page under 3.1 Okinus indicates that the charge of $21.65 is the Processing Fee.
Reason 2 - On top of the Double Processing Fee that Okinus Charges, Okinus charges a $79.95 Fee to Purchase an Early Buy Out. So the 120 Day Same as Cash, is not truly a Same as Cash Purchase. You have to buy the perk!!!
Reason 3 - Each time I called to ask when is the last day for me to Meet the 120 Day Early Buy Out, Okinus would tell me over the phone, that I had until June 5, 2025 to be within the 120 Days for Early Buy Out. But I purchased my item on January 30, 2025, which the contract states the 120 Days starts from the Day the Contract was Signed. Okinus Representative Intentionally will supply you the wrong date, so you will go past the 120 Days, and find yourself Paying the Ridiculous Interest Rate they Charge.
Reason 4 - Make sure you pay attention to the day your Automatic Payment is to be taken out, because Okinus pulls payment on different days each month, not like a regular bill.
Reason 5 - When you try to call in and make extra payments, the representatives will tell you, they can not take the payment. Their intention is to keep you from paying the item off within the 120 Days. It took for me to request a Manager/Supervisor for my extra payment to be taken.
Now that I have paid off my purchase within the 120 Days (not June 5, 2025), I am sharing the horrible experience I have had with Okinus!!!!
Misleading customer and intentionally providing misleading information, is participating in fraud. The fact that Okinus Charges a Double Processing Fee to make an extra buck, the fact that they provide misleading 120 Days Early Buyout Date, and the fact that they refuse to accept extra payments, all of this says you should not do business with them.
Photos are attached to support my comments about the charges. And the Total Initial Payment and/or Processing Fee (what ever Okinus wants to call it) does not go towards the Balance, so on top of the $79.95 Early Buyout Fee a customer pays, I paid $54.07 in additional fees that did not go towards my balance, totaling $134.02.
Your initial payment is not going towards...

I went in to SuperNova last month (first of January) because I was in search of a modular sectional and bedroom set. From the beginning I felt things were off as they kept trying to get me into purchasing a sectional they had and I was apprehensive as I wanted to shop and not be forced into purchasing anything. I was promised a reasonable price amongst a couple other things by Ray so I obliged. My move date was a month a way and I was informed that the custom couch would be ready well before then. I confirmed MULTIPLE times in January what and how I wanted the couch designed.
Fast forward to this month. THIS HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!! The Thursday before the week of my move I contacted them to move the date back as the new rental was not ready which they were fine with. I informed Ali to reschedule the delivery date to the following Monday. The next day they called telling me they needed to confirm how I wanted the couch designed and that the arms of the couch I chose wouldn't look nice with the design I wanted. This was upsetting as I confirmed multiple times in January how I wanted the couch and I should have been told that when I confirmed at the end of January!! No communication and super disorganized!
That day I was told the couch would be ready for the delivery date of the following Monday. I take Monday off from both jobs to accommodate the delivery. I contacted Ali Monday morning to see what time they were coming and he informed me he didn't know (something I would later see that would become a pattern when talking to him). I also contacted Ray (the owner's son) and he didn't know. I had to literally go up to SuperNova this past Monday to inquire as no one had called me back. When I got there I was pretty much brushed off and was told the couch would now not be ready until Wednesday and that they could deliver it Thursday evening as I can't keep taking off of work to have furniture delivered. Its truly sad how I was treated. I had informed Ali of my demanding schedule and made sure it was going to be delivered today (Thursday). I missed money and no one cared. Horrible!! You would think they would try to rectify it but no. I gave understanding every time I was either brushed off or told misleading information. It is now Thursday and I contacted both men to see when it would be delivered today as that is what I confirmed with Ali.
NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHEN THIS COUCH WILL BE COMPLETED AND AT THIS POINT I DO NOT WANT TO DO ANY BUSINESS WITH SUPERNOVA!!! I have gotten no answers and just been brushed off. Why this couch I ordered back on January 10th is not ready and we are going into March is insane!!! I even moved the delivery date a whole week giving them more time and it is still not ready. I have missed money from taking off of work and have been so understanding but this is shady and bad business!!!!!! I have never been contacted by the delivery department.
I purchase furniture every five years or so and HAVE NEVER EVER WENT THROUGH SOMTHING LIKE THIS!! Why am I having to beg and constantly inquire about the furniture and when I do I NEVER GET THE CORRECT ANSWER!!! Just lies and gaslighting!!! Zero out of Ten I do NOT recommend. Too many other furniture shops to be treated so poorly. This company is just too disorganized!!! Don't waste your time like I have and please don't' get anything custom made....you won't see it! Now I have to go with furniture company I should have in the...
Read moreWe worked with Daniel. He was very helpful. We really appreciate the service.
While the buying experience was very good, we have had both good and not so good experiences with the delivery of our furniture.
We purchased a dinette set, and we purchased a complete set of new furniture for our bedroom. Between the table, chairs and bedroom furniture we purchased 15 individual items and spent about $7k. We are very happy with the quality of the furniture that we purchased.
The initial delivery went very well Two people delivered our furniture,. They spent several hours getting the furniture off the truck, assembling it, and setting it in the house. I was a little surprised that the company doesn't supply sliders for them to use, which would have saved them considerable time and effort, but we had a very positive experience overall with their delivery.
One item, a night stand, was back ordered. Which is where the unpleasant experiences have occurred. About 48 hours after the initial delivery we were told that the nightstand is in stock. We arranged to have the nightstand delivered on a Friday (between 8 and 4). It never arrived. We received a call late on Friday to arrange a delivery the next day (again between 8 and 4). As of this writing, the night stand has not arrived.
It's OK that the night stand wasn't delivered on Friday. There were hard freeze warnings in effect, and I fully respect that driver safety is more important than some sticks of furniture. But at some point a decision was made not to deliver our furniture. A simple text telling us the delivery wouldn't happen would have been appreciated. We stayed home all day Friday and Saturday waiting on a delivery that didn't happen.
Two additional things that we don't like about the delivery process. Why were we charged a delivery fee? As I said above, we ordered a substantial quantity of furniture. I'm used to the idea of free delivery on orders over a certain size. It seemed like we were being nickel and dimed paying a $200 delivery fee. Before we purchased this furniture we went to Rooms to Go and Exclusive Furniture. In our minds, all three stores are at about the same price. We bought the furniture at Supernova because we liked it best. I can assure you that if the furniture cost $200 more to cover the companies cost of delivery, we would still have bought the furniture.
Secondly, why such a large delivery window? Surely the route the drivers take each day is worked out in advance, since the first item to come off the truck would be in the back and so forth. So it would not be a difficult task to make an estimated 2 hour delivery window. Fortunately I am retired, But if I was still working, I would be very upset to have had to take 3 complete days off (so far) to take...
