If I could give a negative zero, I would. I frequent this Burlington location with my family and have been a loyal customer for years. However, my most recent experience was deeply disappointing and unacceptable.
After spending over $100 on a purchase today, I remembered I had a small $10 return for a bracelet that was damaged when I took it out of the packaging. I was within the 60-day return policy and had my receipt. When I brought this to the attention of Tania, she was courteous and willing to assist. Unfortunately, she had to involve her manager, whose name I believe is Denisha or Diesha.
From the moment she joined the conversation, Denisha had a dismissive and rude attitude. She compared my return to someone trying to return worn shoes, implying I was being dishonest or unreasonable. She told me she was doing me a "favor" and made it clear this would not be allowed again, despite me following store policy.
What disturbed me even more was her treatment of her employee, Tania. In front of customers, Denisha publicly chastised her, saying, "You should have known better to ask me something so stupidāyou know better." It was shocking, unprofessional, and completely uncalled for. Tania was clearly uncomfortable and did not deserve to be spoken to like that.
At that point, I calmly told Denisha that her behavior was unacceptable, not just toward me as a customer, but toward her fellow team member. In response, she asked us to leave the store and said we could ādiscuss the return with another manager.ā I agreed and left, stunned that someone with such poor judgment and lack of basic respect is running a store.
Denisha showed no empathy, no professionalism, and absolutely no leadership. Itās troubling that someone so clearly unfit to lead is representing Burlington in a management capacity.
I hope this complaint is taken seriously. I believe both your customers and employees...

I inquired about the price of a pair of shoes that I liked, and the two young ladies, one be in the supervisor. Vanessa looked it up in the computer and quoted me six dollars and some change as they were on clearance. Excited, I told the ladies to wrap them up and I would take them. Whenever I whipped out my card to pay, I noticed that the price on the pin pad was $28. Both the girls looks confused when I asked. Then they told me that they would not be able to honor the price that they quoted me! I took a stroll around the store to look for leadership assuming neither one of those girls were in charge and much to my surprise. The lady working the fitting room explained to me that the young lady that denied the price adjustment and told me that there was nothing she could do is supervisor Vanessa. Slightly confused I went up to the front to have a conversation with her, knowing that she should have and could have fixed the situation for the customer very easily and reasonably but chose not to Was upsetting, especially being that I didnāt even have an idea of what the price was until the girls told me themselves.
